Breaking Away Trailer

Hello!

First I want to thank you for coming and reading this post! Second, thanks for joining in on #assassinsmonth! Isnt it great?!

Well today is #TotallyToniTuesday and that means we get to discuss me! So lets do this!

What I want to write about today is why there is no presales for #BreakingAway. I have been getting message after message after email and more messages on where is the preorders, why can’t I find it, is the book even coming out and the answer is yes! It is coming out on June 10, 2014 but it is coming out from me. I’m self publishing. After #BlueLines came out, I decided not to sell to Loveswept. I honestly don’t think I am made to be a traditionally published author. I like to control everything and I went from doing it all myself to giving my control to someone else, which meant they did everything and had say on what happens in my book. I didn’t like that. For a year straight I was sickly stressed out, add in losing my mom and I was a mess. I tried to handle it and go on but it just became too much so I decided not to sell. This is nothing against Loveswept, I love my Loveswept family and enjoyed my time with them. They did nothing wrong, this is me. I’m not made for it.

Now on my own again, I an crazy scared and worried but after doing the cover and then going through the editing process, I feel some what better but I am still really nervous. Just the other day Mr. Aleo said, ‘Man, I bet Breaking Away is going to sell a buttload’ and I go, ‘Or it could flop.’ He of course got mad at me and told me to stop being so negative but it’s hard. I remember when Taking Shots came out, all I wanted was for people to read it and love it. Then Trying to Score came and I was like ack! Two book and holy hell people still like it! Then when Empty Net came out, I was good, I was ready and man I was so proud. I loved where I was, then I sold and blew the heck up and now, I am back on my own again, praying and hoping that the book sells and that people love it. I want to do better and grow with each book that comes out and I want to rock y’all socks off. Its nerve wrecking but this is my life. This is the career that chose me and I am so blessed to be able to share my world with everyone. I’m just glad I’m not stressed now. I am writing like a machine. I’ve knocked out almost 4 books in the last 6 months. That’s insane to me. I am getting my groove back, I just wish I had my confidence too. Even with the reassurance from my betas that my books are amazing, I am still so scared.

So that’s what’s going on. I tried to get presales from Amazon, but they decided against it, which is fine. We will show them when the book comes out huh? Now when Breaking Away comes out, it will be priced at 2.99 but two weeks later on June 24, it will go up to 3.99 and I can promise you there will be NO 99 cents sells. I don’t control what happens with previous books, that is why they are on sale all the time. I think my work is worth way more then 99 cents and I can’t support my family on 35 cents so I can promise you, it wont happen. I am hoping that all of you decide to still buy Breaking Away and I pray y’all love it as much as I do. I am really excited for the future. I have 5 releases coming this year and I’m beyond ready for y’all to read them.

I thank you, each of you for all you’ve done. I have the BEST readers in the whole wide world. You’ve stuck beside me no matter what and I am so blessed for that. I couldn’t ask for better readers and I value each of you. I think I make sure to let y’all know that all the time. But just in case you weren’t sure. I do. I love you.

#MegaMusicMonday

So its #MegaMusicMonday and so that means a song is going up. I love love love Madilyn Bailey! Like something serious and when I heard this version of this song I was blown away! As y’all know Phillip’s niece, Claire is a dancer and she trains with Reese, and she dances to this song in the book. I love the dance that these two girls did, its beautiful! Check it out! It’s amazing!

#SmexyManSunday!

Yehaw! Its #SmexyManSunday!!! Since I did #BlueLines yesterday, I figured I’d do Erik for #SmexyManSunday!

At 27, 6’1 and 212lbs, #ErikTitov is very damaged. But in Piper’s eyes, he’s beautiful.

From Piper’s POV:

Dark, dark brown eyes that she swore was looking straight into her soul. His even darker hair was in a messy style, his chin and jaw covered with the same dark hair in a 5’o-clock shadow. His mouth was curved in a knowing grin, one that told her he knew what she was thinking, which was that she wanted to lick him from his head to his toes and make sure to stop for a long time in between. As her eyes left his gorgeous face to make the long trip down his tall frame, she took in his killer style. He’s stunning and amazing and everything she wants. NOW.

He’s a huge gamer. He has a bulldog, named Stanley. His best friend is Phillip Anderson. He’s a forward for the #NashvilleAssassins and he doesn’t want to love Piper, but he does.

My favorite quote of his, from #BlueLines:

“It won’t be easy,” he went on, smiling up at Piper. “I’m hard to love but when I mess up, I promise I’ll do everything to make it better because I want you. Only you. For the rest of my life. I love you, Piper Titov, and you are mine. Marry me . . . again and know that I will love only you for the rest of my existence.”

#SuperSeriesSaturday

I’m not a 100% sure why I started #AssassinsMonth on Mothers day weekend, especially when I am so so busy but here we go! Sorry if today sucks, don’t worry, tomorrow will be better! Anyways! For #SuperSeriesSaturday I wanna not only share an amazing graphic for #BlueLines but also I want to share some facts about #BlueLines. So here we go:

1. The whole birthing scene – that was based off my birth with my son.

2. Piper’s flightiness was based off me when I was younger. I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up and like every other young adult, I was never satisfied, that is until I started writing.

3. I named Dimitri, Dimitri because of my favorite book series, Vampire Academy.

4. I wrote Erik the way I did because I wanted people to hate him but then fall in love with him. Thats what I went through. I hated him when I first started but then I started to fall for him. Now he is one of my favorites.

5. I wrote Piper as a tradition pregnant woman. Crazy and impulsive but also I wrote her very loving. I love how much she loves Erik and that she doesn’t let him go. She fights. I love that.

6. Phillip Anderson is a HUGE part of this book, and I didnt do that so that it would lead into #BreakingAway, even though it did help, I did that cause I wanted Erik to have that best friend that would be his voice of reason. I loved him for that.

7. Reese Allen is made to be the bitch of the series, very cold but I think once you read #BreakingAway, your opinion on her will change. She actually one of my favorite females thus far.

8. My favorite part of #BlueLines is the part when Piper comes in after the ultrasound. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life typing a chapter. I loved everything about it, especially Phillip. He made that part for me!

9. While #BlueLines is special to me because I feel like it really shows that you shouldn’t give up on love. Hopeless romantic here!

Okay, so usually I don’t come on here and address things that are bothering me. Im usually very laid back and don’t allow what people say to bother me, but the hate mail about Tangled in the Laces is getting to be a bit much. There is a difference between saying, ‘OMG I LOVE THE PREQUEL AND I WANT MORE! I DONT KNOW IF I CAN WAIT TILL 2015 FOR THE BOOK!’ and then “YOU ARE SUCH A BITCH FOR MAKING US WAIT!
