So?!?! What do you think of the site?!?! It’s beautiful isn’t it!!!! Utterly Chaotic designs outdid herself, it is so gorgeous that it makes me want to scream! What is a name?
Hello my beautiful puck bunnies!!!
Hope everyone is doing well. Me, I’m making it…lol. Things have been insane like I’ve said on my Facebook. Here is the post in case you missed it:
So I have a lot of work ahead of me. Copyedits, edits, and all things for Taking Shots, Trying to Score, Empty Net and the fourth book but the biggest thing is that I am working my butt off to get the Novella wrote because I want y’all to have it. So here is my goal: The book will have 15 chapters, and if I write a chapter a day that means I should have it done before March 8 since I take weekends off to let my brain rest. So that’s what I’m gonna do, I’m working for you amazing readers because I hate having y’all wait so long for something new from me. Hopefully Backup will hold you over until book 4. Bet y’all weren’t expecting this:
Teaser: Chapter one of Backup:
“I’m not sure what to say, I feel horrible for being the cherry on top of your horrible day cupcake.”
She flashed him a grin as she jokingly said, “I think the least you could do is tell me your name, so I can bad talk you later,” she added with a wink.
She could tell he wasn’t sure if she was joking or not, but soon he was smiling back at her.
Holding out his hand, he said, “Jordan Ryan.”
She looked down at his hand and then took it, enjoying the way his large hand swallowed hers. With heat and tingles running up her arm while her heart pounded louder than a drum, she felt as if something moved between them. Not knowing that it was, she gasped, “I’m Aynslee Shaw.”
Really rough but I wanted to give y’all something.
The reason I wanted to repost that was because of the teaser. I wanted everyone to see that I am working hard and really if I could give y’all the fourth book I’d give it to y’all now, but I cant. It’s the in the hands of the publisher and believe me guys, it’s gonna be amazing. No one mistakes, pretty new covers, paper backs, and all kinds of awesome stuff. Going with Random House was the best decision I have ever made besides marrying my husband, having kids, and loving hockey, oh and writing! Hehe. I know that some people have said that I have sold out because I did go with a publisher, but I don’t feel that way. I get a lot of crap for poor editing and being with Random House, that won’t happen. They are the best publishing house in the world; they are going to make me ten times better. I am working with the best editors, the most amazing editor and chief and then the greatest agent, I am truly blessed and I’m working hard to give y’all everything you want. Believe me, big things are coming and I won’t let y’all down.
Now the reason for this post is to let y’all know that the 4th books name has been changed. I loved Blue Lines, it fit the book and I was really upset that it had changed but I understand where my publisher is coming from and why it needed to changed. They obviously know what they are doing and I am hoping to be on the New York Times best seller list with Blue Lines, so I am going to trust everything they say. Without going into the details about why the name changed, I’d like to inform you that the new name is:
Crossing the Line
It fits, and when y’all read the book you’ll see that they were right! I’m really excited about this book and anything to make it more amazing than it already is, I’m down for! So yehaw!
Next I wanted to share all three new covers! They are so pretty and I’m so excited! I can’t wait for y’all to see Crossing the Line, it may be the hottest of all the covers. I know that Taking Shots and Trying to Score are coming out April 16th, and hopefully Empty Net will come out with them too. We are working hard to get everything done. It’s A LOT of work and without my agent, I’d be lost, that’s for sure. Lol. So here they are:

Now, I’d like to let everyone know about my upcoming appearances. I will be at my local Hastings in Clarksville TN on May 18th 2013 from 1-3. I am working on one in Nashville, but for some reason, none of the bookstores in Nashville want to get back to me. Really weird, but its cool cause Clarksville is only 35 minutes from Nashville!!! I’ll let you know if anything changes but right now, Clarksville is the only place I am signing in. I am going to the RT convention, The Naughty Mafia Rocks Vegas convention, and the Indie Romance Convention. I have contact the BookBash, but haven’t heard anything back yet. I am trying so hard to get to every part of the US to meet everyone. I think we are going to MI for a family reunion this summer so I’ll be contacting a book store there to do a signing. New York is on my list and I’m trying hard to get there! I’ll let you know. If you know of somewhere that is doing a signing and would like me to come, please let me know!! I’d love to meet every single one of you!
Okay, so I am on a mission to get 3000 likes on Facebook. I am trying to come up with a huge giveaway but I am having trouble coming up with one. Before I’d try to give y’all the book sooner and all that jazz, but I can’t do that anymore. So I need help. I have so much swag now; it’s crazy and so exciting. Next is sexy Lucas Brooks. I mean there is no other words but RAWR, HOLY MOLY AND CRAP! WHERE DID MY PANTIES GO?! He is by far the dirtiest out of all my Assassins and boy do we like him that way. With tantalizing tattoos, Lucas makes all girls swoon right after they tell their girlie parts to calm the hell down!
Now, unfortunately y’all havent got to meet Mr. Erik Titov yet, but let me tell you, he is 
one hot man. Right along with my other hot hockey boys, Erik makes girl swoon with his rare moments of being a great guy. He is a closet romantic with this tough guy exterior. He is fourth on my list but that is only because I can’t give out too much about him. All I can say is he is COMPLETELY trouble! So lock up those hearts ladies, because Erik Titov will be skating into your heart soon enough!
Now when I am not drooling over the heroes I created, I have two others that make my heart skip a beat and they are Mr. Darcy from P&P and Dimirti from Vampire Academy. WHOOOOO WEEEEE those boys make me scream in delight! EEK! hehe.

So I have gotten a lot of emails and Facebook messages on ways to meet me. Well here is three upcoming ways: I am going to RT in Kansas City on May 3-5. I am working on having signings here in Clarksville at my local Hastings and then one in Nashville, all in May for when the books are released. So if you are going to RT please let me know and if you’d love to come to Clarksville or Nashville please let me know! The more people I know are coming the more likely I wont be scared out of my mind to do this. It would be very embarrassing to set up signings and no one comes but my husband, kids, and mom

Happy New Years!!!!
Happy New Years all!!!!!!
I know it has been a hot second since I’ve been on and we can blame that on the holidays and trying to finish Blue Lines! But the great thing is, I’m DONE!!! yehaw! As soon as I’m done reading through it and making sure it’s what I want, it will be sent off to the publisher for them to make it all awesome and stuff. Then I will be starting on my novella and then Breaking Away! EEKKK!! My husband made the joke the other day and said, hmmm, how many books are you going to write this year? I smiled and I said, we’ll I wrote, 3 last year so I am thinking at least four this year! hehe! We will see huh?!
I have a lot planned this year and I’m really excited about it all. Not only will be I be writing, but I get to go to conventions this year, something I havent got to do yet. I know that I will be at the Indie convention here in TN but I think I’ll be going to some in other states too! I’ll let everyone know as soon as I know.
Also, I will be getting new covers for Taking Shots, Trying to Score, and Empty Net. I am pretty stinkin excited about that and will share as soon as I get them! Starting in May, a book will come out for the next four months, ending with Blue Lines on August 13, 2013. I am hope that Breaking Away can come out sometime after that, and I am hoping that the novella comes out before then. It’s all so new new since I am with Random House and I know I dont have answers for everything but once I know something I’ll pass on the information.
Another awesome thing is that I am apart of this super duper cool blog with all these amazing sports romance authors, called Romancing the Jock! We went live today and there is a snippet of Blue Lines on there!! Go check it out and make sure to come back because I will be posting cool stuff on the site!
I am also going to be updating my swag inventory. I figure I need some cooler stuff, so I’ll be looking into that. Also I will be updating my site with the wonderful Tabby from Insightful Minds. So look forward to that too.

Holy hot hockey players! I am now a published author with Random House!

Its all still so unreal and a part of me really doesnt believe it happened.
When I started Taking Shots, I mainly wrote it for myself. I remember when I finished it, and I looked over at my hubby and said “I just wrote a book.” He laughed and then said “What?” Lol. It was crazy, I wasnt the author type. I’ve always been a writer, I love to write little worlds of awesomeness, but I always thought I was meant to be just a mommy and nurse. Wow, did God, have a different plan for me.
Hubby convinced me to query for agents and publishers. I got rejected by EVERYONE and it really messed with me, I hated the rejection so I said eff it. lol. Well, then I saw that I could self publish, so I did that, I was like yeah, this is going to be awesome! I’ll make friends with new people that like my books and everything will be cool. And that was how it happened. I made some of my bestest friends now, and they have been with me since the beginning!
Well, the editing thing came up, and I was like EEKK! lol. So I hired an editor, got screwed, hired another one, got screwed some more, hey, why not go for a third time, GOT SCREWED AGAIN! lol. So I was to the point where I was ready to quit because people like good edited books. Well I didnt get a decent editor until Empty Net, and even she missed stuff because my books are big and its a lot to edit, but I still feel she did a great job.
I learned a lot, and I am glad with where I was in life. Things we wonderful, I have a fan base, I am interactive with my fans and I feel good. I basically felt like life was wonderful! I was making friends, I was working on Blue Line, and heck yeah, I was going to Disney World. I mean really? What else could happen!? lol. Well, I got an email from a friend that was like, I am talking to an agent for you because I think you need one. I was like okay, cool, I’d like to have an agent because my dream is to have my book in stores. To walk into Target and see my beautiful series on the shelf? I think I might piss my pants and then scream girlie little screams. So be aware when this happens! lol.
Well, I was excited to see what would happen with that but I was too busy with life and getting ready to go to Disney to be really worried about it. I have the mind set that if it happens it was meant to be, if it doesnt, oh well. Well I was out somewhere, and I remember getting an email from Susan Grimshaw, and it was titled Empty Net – Great Job! I cant always view my emails from my phone, it sometimes wont load so I figured I’d read it when I got home. Well I forgot and the next day I was doing my morning check and clicked the email, and this is what it said.
Hi there,
Just wanted to say congratulations on writing such a wonderful story – I love hockey so this theme totally resonated with me. Your characters are wonderfully developed & I thoroughly enjoyed the journey you took me on – EMPTY NET deserves its starred reviews!
I was curious as to what your future projects may be & if you have any interest in working with a New York publisher such as Random House.

Now first, I froze. I read it again and then I started screaming, my computer flew off my lap, I ran into the bedroom and started screaming at my husband about the email. He read it and then he was like “Holy crap.” lol. So I emailed her back, and was like. OMG YES! lol and then I emailed my friend and told her, “Hey, I got an email from Sue Grimshaw of Random House and she wants to talk to me. I think I may need an agent.”
I got an agent one day, a publisher the next, and then I went to Disney that next Monday.
LMFAO!
I feel so blessed to have the most amazing agent that seriously is there for me. Her name is Alix Taylor and I couldnt have been fitted with a better person. She gets me. She gives it to me straight and she cares. I am a very honest, loving person, and I feel that Alix is what I need to protect me and to turn my name into something big. I am so excited for the ride me and her are about to get on and I know its gonna be a blast.
It was INSANE and I think that my family and I are still in shock. I cried when I got to announce it yesterday via Facebook, and I still get teary eyed when I think about it all. I’ve worked so hard to create this amazing world for my beautiful puck bunnies and to have someone take notice and want me, man, that is the most amazing thing in the world because I think my fans knew this was going to happen before I did. They believed in me when I didnt, and I cant thank y’all enough for that.
So now that I have this contract, I now how deadlines. That is scary let me tell you, I am freaking out a bit. Now, not only do I have to worry about making a great books for my bunnies, but now I gotta make sure I get it done on time for the publisher. Its crazy, but I am ready and I think as long as i have the support system I have, I can do whatever I put my mind too.
I mainly did this post to thank you guys. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life and I hope that you continue to stay with me through everything. Its gonna be fun, I can promise you that. To thank you some more, here is a little snippet of Blue Lines.
“I’m really sorry, it will never happen again.”
“Like I said, I had you if it would have gotten out of control.”
Erik laughed, “How so? Are you a ninja too?”
Piper smiled, “No, but I did take self-defense classes in New York, so I know how to protect myself.”
“Of course you do, I swear you’re a Jack of all trades,” he said as he moved off the bed.
I’m really excited about this book and cant wait for it to come out. I am also excited about the new covers and reedited versions of the past books. I think it will only make my books better! Thank you so much again, girls!
