Dark Shadows - A Review/My Thoughts
First of all, to remove any doubt: I loved this film. True, this is the sort of genre I love anyway, the dark, surreal Gothic type of film, so I was always going to be bias. Sleepy Hollow is probably my favourite film of all time, and to be fair, if Tim Burton decided to make a film of grass growing slowly over the course of a week, I would probably go and see it. The Racing Line
Why is it that we are pulled ever on?
Why wrenched from the pool of calm and content,
Of summers, springs, winters, autumns of time
To spare, not spend in fear of the racing line

Saw The Queen and Prince Philip today..
In the most unexpected of ways. I knew they were in Liverpool because it was all over the news (they got the Duck Boat..) but I didn’t really have time to go and actually see what was going on. However, I did need to go to the library and on the way in I saw their cavalcade leaving town on the other side of the road as I went in. Slightly surreal watching the Queen cruising along opposite to the bus you’re on..

Lilith's Tears Anniversary Week
So, it was around this time last year that Lilith’s Tears was first released. Well, in a month’s time anyway. It came out on June 15th 2011, so the year anniversary is coming up quite soon. It seems a long time ago, but I feel I should commemorate this in some way, so next month I shall have a week of posts about the novel, the writing of it, the response to it etc - and probably a giveaway as well. Quite a bit has happened with that novel, its amazing to think that it was a year...
