This is an extract fromPliny’s Natural History, written around AD 77 - and it still makes reference to Penny Royal as a cure for digestive complaints. Clearly, even in Roman times people would sit and drink pennyroyal tea, distill the life inside of them. I enjoy finding song references in ancient books immensely.

More writing means more ink. My mum once humorously observed that I was “going to have to sell a lot of books” to make up for the outlay in ink cartridges. This is true. Very true. Either way, the Blue Bricks Part I is now around 225 pages long - I reckon in about 90 more pages the first, handwritten draft will be finished completely and then the actual work aspect of things will have to begin.
