Coming This July

KING OF THE BASTARDS by Brian Keene & Steven Shrewsbury

Extreme horror meets extreme sword & sorcery!

Rogan has been many things in his life as an adventurer — a barbarian, a thief, a buccaneer, a rogue, a lover, a reaver, and most recently, a king. Now, this prehistoric bane of wizards and tyrants finds himself without a kingdom, lost in a terrifying new world, and fighting for his life against pirates, zombies, mutants, and the demonic entity known as Meeble. And even if he defeats his foes, Rogan must still find a way to return home, regain his throne, save his loved ones, and remind everyone why he’s the KING OF THE BASTARDS.

First time in paperback and digital! Coming in July from Apex Book Company!

MOVIE UPDATE

FAST ZOMBIES SUCK is in post-production. It debuts Thursday, July 23rd at Scares That Care Weekend.

THE NAUGHTY LIST has added Nasreen El-Mariesh as a producer, with Paul Campion (THE DEVIL’S ROCK) directing. The film is based on my short story “The Siqqusim Who Stole Christmas” (which is included as a bonus story in THE RISING: DELIVERANCE).

THE CAGE is officially back in pre-production. To stay informed, follow The Cage Movie on Twitter.

Everything else is stuck in development hell.

WELCOME TO NECROPOLIS

WELCOME TO NECROPOLIS is a brand-new zombie novel (not to mention debut novel) by Bryan Killian. It’s available now on Kindle and in paperback from Deadite Press.

Why am I telling you this? Because 1. I wrote the novel’s Introduction and 2. I’m sick of zombie novels. There are only two in the last year that I thoroughly enjoyed. This was one of them (and I’ll be talking about the other one on next week’s episode of The Horror Show).

WELCOME TO NECROPOLIS by Bryan Killian. Kindle. Paperback. Get it.

Attention Cast Members of FAST ZOMBIES SUCK

If you were one of the extras who played a zombie in FAST ZOMBIES SUCK, please send an email to briankeene@live.com with FSZ in the subject line, and tell us who you are and which zombie you played. We are finishing post-production, however, due to an unfortunate incident with the blood cannon, some of the release forms we had you sign have been rendered unreadable, and we want to make sure we list your name correctly in the credits. FAST ZOMBIES SUCK premieres July 23, at Scares That Care Weekend in Williamsburg, VA.

SEIZE THE NIGHT

Vampires are a creature/trope I’ve rarely used. There’s the long out of print, amateur story “Down Under” and a novel called WITH TEETH (which I promised Keith Giffen I would write — the first draft is finished, and I’m just looking for some free time to start the second draft). And also, there’s this brand-new short story called “Last Supper”, which appears in the forthcoming anthology, SEIZE THE NIGHT.

Edited by Christopher Golden, SEIZE THE NIGHT includes vampire stories by myself, Charlaine Harris, John Ajvide Lindqvist, Scott Smith, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Michael Kortya, Kelley Armstrong, David Wellington, Seanan McGuire, Tim Lebbon, and many more. You can pre-order it in paperback and for Kindle by clicking here.
