February is off to a great start! Thanks to the awesome Natasha Snow, my sweet & sexy M/M romance "Taboo For You" (and its German translation "Experimentier Mit Mir") have new covers - I love how they capture the atmosphere of Sam and Luke's relationship. Sunday Musings #10 – Self-editing tactics

Hey guys,

Just a quick reminder that the Sunday Musings are back from the winter break! We return with #10 - with all you need to know on self-editing.

The checklist will tell you what you should look out for before you send your manuscript off to beta-readers:
Are pivotal parts missing? Do I need additional scenes?
Where am I telling where I should be showing?
Where am I skimming / bored?

These are just some of the checks on a self-edit, for the others check out the blog post!

ReRelease: "Liam Davis & The Raven" - fantastic new cover!

Kapow! Bang! Boom! The Raven strikes again!

Almost three years after appearing in Pittsburgh, PA, the hooded vigilante has donned a new cover – in “Liam Davis & The Raven“!

I’m so happy to celebrate the re-release of Liam Davis today, with the fantastic new cover by Natasha Snow. It perfectly captures the light-hearted nature of the story – if you haven’t given Liam Davis a try, now’s the time ;) If you liked “Leo Loves Aries”, this one should be right up your alley.

Liam Davis & the Raven is a slow-burn, New Adult, gay romance set in college. This enemies/roommates to lovers story follows the quirky, socially awkward Liam to his HEA.

ReRelease: "Briefs" - Gay Romance Novella Collection

I'm very happy to announce a re-release today: “Briefs” – a gay romance collection of five contemporary novellas that I previously published individually between 2013 and 2016. They are all light-hearted, feel-good stories leading to a Happily Ever After (oh, and of course they’re slow-burn, in case you were wondering ;). And it’s all topped off by another wonderful cover courtesy of Natasha Snow.

In this collection, you'll find these stories:

“Noticed Me Yet?”
Who is this Mr. X that Jacob keeps writing to? And how can he be falling for him?

“DJ Dangerfield”
Who is this DJ Dangerfield in Real Life? And will Justin like him in the flesh as much as on the air?

“Get It”
Why does unrequited love leave you blind as a bat to other things?

“500 Kisses”
Are 500 kisses all it takes to steal a heart?

“The Douglas Fir”
Can Jason find that magic gift to win his neighbor’s heart?

The collection is available on Amazon (also Kindle Unlimited).

Sunday Musings #8 - Writing towards scenes vs. word count

It's not just words that count... Keeping track of word count helps you stay focused, but finished scenes are the real target. In this session, I discuss my hybrid approach including outlining & writing!

"Leo Loves Aries" - out now!

Leo Loves Aries
I am so excited - my latest novel is finally out!!! Thanks so much to everyone involved - Heather for the fantastic copy editing, Sunne & Vicky for the beta reading, Teresa for the content editing & Natasha for the cover art. Also, the book features Leo and Aries sketches by Maria Gandolfo. And last not least, big cheers to all the proof readers - you know who you are :D

As I said before, I really wanted to write a very sweet and light to warm the heart in these difficult times. This one's definitely no angst, with a big HEA. I really hope you'll enjoy it!

BTW, I'm trying NetGalley for this book, so if you're using them, you can get a review copy by clicking on this link.

Poster love for "fels" :D

So... I thought for the release of "fels", the German translation of "rock" we'd try something different and put up some actual posters in Berlin.
And they are looking pretty awesome - see for yourselves! Thanks Natasha for the design :D

Sunday Musings #7 – Give your scenes VIGORR!

In Sunday Musings #7, I'm talking about creating engaging scenes.

I introduce the VIGORR concept that keeps track of all important parts of a scene, and also give you a two-part work sheet: part one as an overview of what to keep in mind when planning your scene, and part two with space for your own notes.

Get writing and cause a scene!
