I do miss roller derby. I only had three children when I did...

I do miss roller derby.  I only had three children when I did it, but it was a hell of a juggling act.  When you’re a mother of very young children, anything you do that takes time away from your kids must be important to you.  Roller derby was as sacred to me as a marriage, as a religion.  I miss it so much.

It’s really fun, and you should try it now, because you see that skull there?  That’s going to be you someday.  Right now you can skate but when you’re that skull your chance will be over.  DO IT NOW.  See that girl in the illustration looking at you?  Her ass says “Back Off” but her eyes say “You are every bit as tough as I am, sister, don’t you fucking deny it.  Now put on these pads, they’ll keep you from getting too GD hurt, and get out there and bust some ass.”

Hi.  I am the skater known as Tyra Durden.  The first rule of roller derby is that roller derby is awesome and YOU WILL WANT ME TO HIT YOU AS HARD AS I CAN.
