Natural Impression“A Happening”, by Julian Jones-Pittman.

A Happening is a performance, event or situation that is intended to be an art piece. The interaction between the action taking place and the viewers is part of the whole experience of the Happening.
A Happening that relates to Graphic Design may communicate a visual message where the viewers have the power and freedom to reinterpret it to their own meaning. To inform, persuade, organize, stimulate, locate, identify, attract attention and to provide visual pleasure.
Graphic designers are the link between the client and the audience. Essentially serving as translators. The typical nature of a designer is often described as pedantic, perfectionists, and very likely obsessive.
Our intent is to demonstrate to the audience what designers are capable of: taking the meticulous task of organizing materials of which are uncontrollable and organic. Forms emerged out of loose materials found on the grounds of the urban landscape. Excess plant materials are arranged into letters or shapes to create a design, word, or message of expression to passersby.

Authors love to talk about other authors

I was having a conversation with another author about that great quote Stephen King thoughtlessly...

Marina Abramovic meets Ulay
“Marina Abramovic and Ulay...

bbook:

Marina Abramovic meets Ulay

“Marina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from one end, meeting for one last big hug in the middle and never seeing each other again. at her 2010 MoMa retrospective Marina performed ‘The Artist Is Present’ as part of the show, a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Ulay arrived without her knowing it and this is what happened.”

This is amazing.

WHEN THEY FELT THE RELATIONSHIP HAD RUN ITS COURSE, THEY DECIDED TO WALK THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA, EACH FROM ONE END, MEETING FOR ONE LAST BIG HUG IN THE MIDDLE AND NEVER SEEING EACH OTHER AGAIN.

THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT.

I invited him to the performance because we shared 12 years of work, but I had no idea he was going to sit. So when he sat in front of me it was really so emotional, everybody could see because it was reflecting everything we went through together. In one of our performances, “The Night Sea Crossing,” we sat across from each other and he could not do it and I could. That’s why I replaced him with the public. I didn’t think he would ever sit in the chair opposite me, so when he did, I broke all the rules. I just thought that in that place at that moment there were no rules. I just needed to hold his hand and feel togetherness in that moment, which was very emotional.

They physically moved her bones. They moved her collar bone lower. I hope stuff like this makes people realize how ridiculous the media is.

this is so depressing.

this makes me so angry!

oH MYGOD I HATE THE MEDIA

In case you’re ever wondering why you don’t look like the girls on the covers of magazines: neither do they.

I will always reblog this so everyone that follows me has a chance to see how messed up society is.

This makes me feel sick to my stomach. She’s a fucking human being, she doesn’t have those proportions, that collar bone, that waist line. She’s fucking stunning, but they need to make her “better” by taking parts of her away. She is strong, and healthy, but they still mould her into to something small and perfect because GOD FORBID we put our icon on the cover of a magazine without tailoring her past recognition. Our system is busted, and it will bust you too.

Don’t let the media break you. It will make you ugly, no mater what you look like.
