ACK! Tumblr has been stumbling the past couple of days, so I've set up an alternate page for the Bash, until they get their servers straightened out:
Red Tash Trick or Treat Bash on WordPress.com
I don't plan to migrate the site over there permanently, as I really LOVE tumblr and I'm just getting cozy here. It's an option, though. Hopefully they've managed to corral whatever rogue robots were monkeying with the gears today.
The above reminds me of the movie Robots. Did you see it?
I am one of those weird people who hates Robin Williams. Did I say "hate"? Perhaps I mean "viscerally reject, from the core of my being."

Such a cute pattern. I'd love a pair of pajamas in this. I might even wear them to the Trick or Treat Bash.
Speaking of which, I want to say "hi," and thanks to all who've joined me from Goodreads today. It has been so nice to see you!
And because you mentioned it, I decided to open the prize packages (2 & 3) to residents worldwide. Those prizes are virtual, so there's really no reason you shouldn't be included. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Absolutely beautiful work by the cover artist for Amanda Hocking.
Reminds me of Troll or Derby, in a way. Or the moving portraits at Hogwarts. I'd love to see this animated.
"A Life of its Own"
work from 2008
revamped slightly
You know what else I'd love to see? You win my contest.

Not sure what the appeal of old book illustrations is for me, personally, but if I could get a pairing of the Children's Book Jesus with this guy, that'd be just about perfect.

Okay, I just had to reblog that....

Okay, I just had to reblog that. Too funny, in a creepy/funny sorta way. What a great costume that would make, you know? I'd have to do my version with Farrah Fawcett hair. ;)
If you're a big fan of the creepy/funny, you need to enter to win in my Trick or Treat Bash. There are a lot of great authors giving a free copy of their brilliant books, as part of the celebration over This Brilliant Darkness. This morning I added author number 36, and since several of them are giving more than one title, that means over three dozen spine-tingling, smart-thinging, Halloween titles for your enjoyment.
Oh, yes. We will laugh at your screams. Oh, yes, we will.

Someone please tell me what's not to love about this.

So very Neverwhere.
The photo is also appropriate today, because in my tunnel vision, I've missed the fact that This Brilliant Darkness is now available on iTunes/iBooks. I am an Apple girl (or used to be, before my G4 bit the dust), so I totally understand the desire to read through that platform. I do a lot of reading on the iPad through iBooks, in fact.
So, here ya go! Another way to read This Brilliant Darkness. It's only $.99.
