Ah, Christmas at the Landfill. Imagine all ^that covered in snow. And more piles of junk.
Finally rolled up my sleeves this morning and started working on my holiday short story project. I really wanted it to be just about Harlow and Deb, but guess who was the first person to show?

He is always doing things like that.
I honestly just started writing without a good plan, so I don’t know if he’ll stay in the story or not. Got to think about it. Shower time is thinking time, waking is writing time. Backward perhaps, but it works for me!
If you haven’t read the 2nd Wizard Tale yet, it’s free through the end of July on Smashwords. There’s a coupon code on the page. All those links are here.
And if you don’t know who Harlow and Deb are, stay tuned. Great Minds Think Aloud is today’s stop on the Troll Or Derby Blog Tour. I’m just waiting for an email from Kitty, and I’ll point you there!

What a beauty.
We’re talking about tiny steampunk lady hats on my FB profile, so friend me there if you’ve got something to add.
I don’t understand the fascination with fascinators.
I much prefer this lovely lass.

I’ve had my battles with that decision, but the other option is GAME OVER, and there’s no reboot, so…we do what we gotta, you know?
Someday, if you don’t stop looking for it, you will find something really great to live for. You’ll never find someone or some group or some food or some drug that will heal all your hurts, but you will find that in time, you’ll learn from your personal history.
Maybe you’ll learn how to express yourself through art. Or through stories. Or through dance. Maybe you’ll be a sculptor or a graffiti artist, or a very talented teller of jokes, I don’t know.
And you’ll learn how much that expression means to other people.
I hear that all the time now, and I’m so glad I do.
What I have learned is that all the pain we experience serves to create a common bond with other human beings. Maybe not 100% of human beings, but trust me, there are so many people in this world who will relate to you! They will!
If you are hurting and thinking of ending your life, please take it from someone who has been there—that feeling will pass. It will always pass, even if it’s held on for a very long time. Please let it pass.
And please reach out.
Outside your family, if you need to. Outside your school. Outside your country, to that end. The internet is a wonderful invention.
Hang in there.
