When You Open Instagram Today…
Photo by Maxim Smith on UnsplashWhen you open Instagram today…,
… it feels like everyone has a perfect life, except you.
Your friends — they are traveling abroad, pursuing higher education in the best university, working in one of the most reputable companies, having some cool friends and a caring lover, and all about the good life.
And, you… you don’t even have anything to show off. It’s like everyone is successful, except you.
Don’t you know… everything always looks beautiful from far away?
I mean, picture this: You’re on the ground, and you see an airplane flying in the sky. If you have never been on an airplane, you may think, “It must be wonderful on the airplane.”
Well, when you’re on the airplane, yes, the scenery is majestic, but sometimes you have to face the bad weather, the changing pressure, anxiety during turbulence, long hours, tiring trips, and when you see the ground, you will mumble, “It must be comfortable to be down there.”
And, when you’re on the ground, the story will be different. You will be trapped in a traffic jam; too hot weather, too cold weather; people you are not comfortable with; suspicious strangers.
Everything always looks beautiful from far a way, my friend.
Be grateful what you’ve had now.
You never know what kind of thorns slipped behind those beautiful lives.

6 Creatives Uses of Virtual Reality That You’ve Never Heard Of

Virtual reality isn’t all about gaming, education, training, and health. Just in case you need some inspiration for your virtual reality project, we have listed six unusual yet creative uses of virtual reality that you might have never heard of. Without further ado, let’s go…
1. Virtual Reality for Big Datahttps://medium.com/media/8f7e5aef516291ed2140b8f19b5564e8/hrefWe all have data, lots of data.
And it’s so complex. Yes, we have “standard” plots (e.g., bar charts, 2D scatter plots) to comprehend the data, however, these “standard” plots may hide crucial information that is visible only at the intersection of many dimensions. Thus, we need more powerful visualizations to understand the data.
That’s what virtual reality can do: It represents the data in a whole new way; in a 3D environment where you become immersed in your data. For example, take a look at this video by Virtualitics:
https://medium.com/media/d5d07157be8575ab82f40e466afb8ac6/hrefJust by watching the video, we know how big data in virtual reality can provide the ability to understand huge amounts of data in a shorter time. Moreover, it helps us find properties that were not anticipated and understand how data was collected.

2. Behind the Scenes of a Brand
In partnership with Visual Experience, Lomar, a clothing brand based in Saudi Arabia, brings fashion fans closer than ever to Behind the Scenes of Lomar. So, for the first time ever in fashion history, customers can tag along with Lomar at the factory, watching each step of the production in a 360-degree environment, as if they were there.
Thus, the customers can see every single detail of the process, knowing that each product of Lomar is crafted carefully with love, enhancing people’s trust and loyalty towards Lomar’s brand.
Behind the Scenes of Lomar was made by BeThere, the most artful VR/360 viewer in the market.
3. Stock Index Price in Virtual Realityhttps://medium.com/media/651d554b584b2df251fccc226ccf1c96/hrefIt’s nothing like you’ve seen before. Nasdaq, an American stock exchange, released a Nasdaq Index Rollercoaster. This shows how virtual reality could transform your data in a much, much better way.
Enjoy it in virtual reality: http://graphics.wsj.com/3d-nasdaq/
4. Take a VR Field Trip to a Renewable Energy Park
In line with Saudi Vision 2030 to build up the sector of renewable energy, Mishkat, the Interactive Center for Atomic and Renewable Energy, launched BeThere: Renewable Energy, in partnership with Visual Experience. BeThere: Renewable Energy is a virtual reality merchandise. It includes the most artful 360/VR viewer and a VR application to learn about renewable energy in a form of game, mainly for students and kids.
5. Reducing Anxiety for Cancer Patientshttps://medium.com/media/e55303363eeb1cdd9e0d345f617f1354/hrefOncomfort was born out of the stress of watching families suffer through cancer, unable to reduce their pain and anxiety. In attempt to enhance treatment efficacy for cancer patients, OnComfort currently has five virtual reality-based applications. They include:
Aqua — an immersive experience focused on relaxation in an undersea environment.AMO — an immersive experience focused on easing pain and anxiety based on clinical hypnosis techniques.KIMO — an immersive experience focused on providing basic education to pediatric patients on how chemotherapy works.Spacio — an immersive experience for pediatric patients aimed at inducing relaxation before having an MRI or a radiotherapy session.Stella — an immersive experience aimed at inducing positive distraction during short pediatric procedures.6. Virtual Reality Merchandise
Today’s marketing has used virtual reality for its marketing campaign, some in a form of virtual reality merchandise.
For example, Volvo launched a new marketing campaign with the release of Volvo Reality. It is a Volvo’s branded virtual reality merchandise a.k.a Viewer. With this merchandise, customers can do a test drive of the new Volvo series. Most importantly, this virtual reality marketing campaign has helped Volvo sell out the new Volvo series just two days after release.

So, Who Created God?
So, who created God?This is probably that kind of question that’s been stuck on your mind.
But you’re way too afraid to share it with people.
Because you know they will see you with those judgement stares.
Because they might think you crazy.
But you need the answer.
So, that’s why I’m writing this post: For you to find the exact answer.
Before answering this question, we both need to have the same understanding of God.Let’s forget all the references and listen to your deepest heart.
I’m 100% sure: You can never deny that this universe has its beginning. You can never deny that all these things in this universe are not created or managed randomly. There must be One Who create, sustain, nourish, control this universe and everything’s in between. I mean, if we were created randomly, how could we all have two eyes? Why do we all have one heart? Why do we have digestive system, respiratory system, reproduction system, and any other systems in our bodies? How could these systems work so perfectly that we’re barely dying? Imagine if we were created randomly, without any pattern, without One Sustainer, wouldn’t it cause so many errors in our bodies? Imagine if this world were created randomly, wouldn’t it cause so many natural disasters? So, deep in our hearts, we can never deny the One Who sustain, master, nourish this universe. The One Who is over all things competent. Only One. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent.
In this post, God refers to Him whom I just explained.
Clear enough?
However, when you’re talking about God, there are always ones who doubt you, asking questions like, “If everything has its creature, who created God?”
If you’re feeling confused by this question, let me ask you some things.
First: What makes the color green?
Great. They are yellow and blue.
Now, what about yellow? What makes the color yellow?
Good job. Yellow is a primary color and, therefore, cannot be created by any color.
See, yellow cannot be created. And, you’re cool with this fact. You can accept how the fact that you don’t need the answer of, “What makes the color yellow?”
Now, let me ask you another question. Something simple, yet a little bit more technical.
What is water made of?
Yep. As easy as you google the answer, you’d find that water is made of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen.
So, what is hydrogen or oxygen made of?
If you’ve learned the basic concepts in chemistry, you’ll exactly know how hydrogen or oxygen cannot be created by any chemical reaction. They stand alone as a chemical element. And, you’re cool with this fact.
OK. Some of you may say, “Well, one atom of hydrogen consists of proton, and bla, bla, bla.”
Well then, what is proton made of?
Some of you may state that proton is part of an atom. And, an atom is the smallest constituent unit of ordinary matter. It. Is. The. Smallest. Unit. Therefore, it’s illogical to ask, “What is an atom made of?” And, see, you can accept this truth. You can accept that any question has its final stop.
But I’ve still got the answer if you still insist, “What is an atom made of?” According to some references I’ve found, the answer is a quark.
And, you still keep asking, “What is a quark? What is it made of?”
So, let’s stop asking and start opening your reference. Take a look at this screen. I took this picture from Encylopedia Brittanica. And it says…
Quark, any member of a group of subatomic particles elementary that interact by means of the strong force and are believed to be among the fundamental constituents of matter.
Now, let me ask you: What is a quark made of?
Sure, you’ll go back to the definition of a quark, saying, “You’re being illogical. It’s the most fundamental constituents of matter.”
OK.
This is weird.
You can be so confident, believing, then stop asking when asked about the color yellow, an atom, and an quark.
However, why can’t you stop asking, “Who created God?”?
Isn’t the answer so clear that you can feel it in your heart?
One more thing. Some years later, you may go back to this post and say, “Look, quark isn’t the most fundamental matter anymore. Look, yellow isn’t a primary color anymore.” And, as I said earlier, science is evolving, therefore, it can change. This analogy will be obsolete, but God won’t be. Nor is there to Him any equivalent.
After writing this…
I don’t know what’s on your mind, but I hope you’ll find something here.
If you’re still feeling confused, yet you really need The Truth, then never ever stop finding it. It will be worth it. So, pray to the Lord of the Worlds, the One Who created you and me. Just pray to Him, no other deity. Approach and ask some educated, trusted, and pious people around you. And, keep praying to your Lord in a private supplication.
I hope the emptiness in your heart will find its home.[]

What an interesting read! Thanks for writing this. :)
What an interesting read! Thanks for writing this. :)
But a question pops up in my head: Where will VR movies be applied? In a theatre only? Or does it simply work with VR headsets — wherever we use it? So, what’s the use of theatre then if we can do it from home? Imagining VR movies in theatre where we need to wear VR headset in a room full of strangers — well, that quite scares me. But, still, movies will need VR sooner or later because we don’t want to enjoy movie like we usually do today. We want new experiences. I’ve always imagined where the theatre room is 360 screen, so we don’t need to wear a VR headset in a room full of strangers; but we’re there, inside the movie, watching every step of the characters. But, well, we’ll see how it goes. :)

14 Best Examples of VR Marketing That Will Inspire Your Next Marketing Tactics

Truth to be told…
We barely click an ad. The data shows that the average click through rate of display ads across all formats and placements is 0.06% (Source: Display Benchmarks Tool)Every time we see “Sponsored Post,” we would be like, “Skip it, skip it.” Don’t you?We skip most of the newsletters in our emails. Ain’t got no time for that. These digital marketing campaigns are getting played out. To attract consumers, we need something more engaging; something more memorable.
In the previous post, we have explained how virtual reality (VR) could be the next big thing in branding and marketing strategy. In this post, we will list the fourteen best virtual reality (VR) marketing examples that may inspire you.
So, here you go, VR marketing examples from brands around the world.
1. Travel Before You Travel by Thomas Cook
Thomas Cook, a British global travel company, installed VR headsets, Samsung Gear VR, in 10 of its U.K. stores. The headsets gave users who came to the stores 360-degree experiences of New York (views from the top of the Rockefeller Center), Singapore, Egypt (views from its historical sites), Greece, and other countries. Using this VR marketing campaign, Thomas Cook said that over a period of three months, the revenue for New York excursions was up by 190 percent, and flight and hotel bookings went up by £12,000 ($17,500) from people making a purchase after using VR.
2 . Virgin Travel by Virgin Holiday
Virgin Holidays has already been using VR for more than a year. They made a unique solution for the waiting customers to do a virtual tour of Virgin Holidays’ destinations. The experience allows them to “try before they travel.” The customers could venture to Riviera Maya in Mexico (Virgin Holidays’ key destination) and other selected destinations. Thus, the experience kept customers in the stores longer and generated a significant rise in sales of holidays to Riviera Maya.
3. Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, partnered with Visual Experience
If you want to promote a destination, it’s all about the images and videos. However, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority wanted to take a new strategy that makes people taste the feel of Abu Dhabi, much more intimate than images and videos. Partnered with Visual Experience, they delivered a VR experience at the booth of its event. Using Oculus, the experience allowed people to virtually visit the landmark sites in Abu Dhabi. It then became one of the most highlighted booths at the event.
4. Virtual Reality Book for Students by Mishkat

We are living in a smartphone era where students are more engaged with apps than books.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030 to build up renewable energy sector, it is strongly important to introduce this topic to young generations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. So, partnering with Visual Experience, Mishkat (the Interactive Center for Atomic and Renewable Energy) is about to launch BeThere: Renewable Energy Edition in September 2017. It is a VR book, which includes a Mishkat-branded VR viewer and a VR application. These will bring students to visit Renewable Energy Park and to experience how it all works.
The goal of BeThere: Renewable Energy is to engage students in the topic of renewable energy through VR, where they won’t feel like studying but experiencing.
5. Virtual Reality Merchandise for Museum Visitors by KAUST Museum
To some people, distance is the main problem to visit KAUST Museum. Therefore, Visual Experience partnered with KAUST Museum to launch a VR merchandise called Viewseum. Viewseum includes a KAUST-branded VR viewer and a VR application that allows visitors to virtually explore KAUST Museum from home. Viewseum is shared as memorable giveaways to the visitors from KAUST Museum.
The same strategy is used by Effat University, giving away a branded VR to have a virtual tour of Effat University from home.
6. Volvo Reality by Volvo
The market share of Volvo in the U.S. had declined for a decade. So, the brand needed to release its new SUV, the XC90, in a brand new way.
First off, Volvo understands that people need to touch, feel, and experience a car before deciding to buy it. Volvo also understands that people nowadays own a smartphone.
So, that’s it: Volvo created Volvo Reality, the world’s first VR test drive available to anyone with a smartphone and Google Cardboard, an affordable VR headset.
This VR marketing example got over 238 million PR impressions, 159 million paid media impressions, 19 million social media impressions, nearly 4 million video views, 24 earned news stories, and a half-million web page views.
Most importantly, the first edition of XC90s sold out in less than two days.

TOMS wanted the customers to know how a simple act of buying a pair of shoes is helping someone else around the world. So, using VR technology, TOMs virtually brings its customers to Colombia, meeting the children that benefit directly from his purchase.
But how do they do this? Well, the brand is giving away 100,000 Google Cardboard with TOMS purchases and uploading the VR experience on YouTube.
According to Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMS, VR is going to be a huge part of their communications strategy going forward.
9. Virtual Reality for Home Improvement by Lowe’shttps://medium.com/media/1d22cd0b3d44ebde84a5e4a5a73a96f3/hrefLet’s say you want to do some home improvement all by yourself.
However, you‘re not confident to do so, as you’ve got no skills.
Moreover, you’re worried how the result would look bad if applied to your house.
And, that’s why Lowe’s launched Holoroom How To in 19 stores. With NYT VR, users can travel around the world and hear the story from another part of the world. From NYT VR, we have already traveled to Ukraine, Syria, and even Pluto. We won’t forget how The New York Times brought us to this experience, and that’s how they strengthen their brand.

By doing so, the participants would recognize that the experience was “thanks to Coke.”
14. Virtual Reality Movie for Humanity by UNICEF
UNICEF created an 8-minute 360-degree film called “Clouds over Sidra” to draw attention to the Syrian refugee crisis.
The film focuses on the life of a 12-year-old girl living in a refugee camp in the Jordanian desert. By giving viewers a more realistic ground-level picture of their sufferings, UNICEF made people understand the real adversity that humanity was enduring.

Ketika Aku Gagal, Itu Bukan Kegagalan

EP 2: Cara Menyenangkan Memulai Halaman Pertama Novelmu
Ketika menulis novel I Love You; I Just Can't Tell You, beruntungnya, atas kehendak Allah, saya menemukan kalimat pertama secara langsung. Tahu-tahu, kumpulan kata itu muncul begitu saja dalam kepala, seola...
