Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and reallyenjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but notalways. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is: Don't Let Me Go: A Dark MM Sci-Fi Mafia Romance by Chani Lynn Feener

Blurb:

HunterThorn did the unthinkable.

He's fallen for the enemy. He may have told himself he did it to survive, butthere's no denying the chemistry between him and Odin, even if they're still onuneven ground. When someone from his past returns, everything he thought heknew is thrown to the wind, and he's forced to finally come to grips with hisfeelings and make a decision.

Odin Snow captured the Huntsman and made him his.

But when Hunter goes missing, all of Odin's carefully laid plans are dashed. Was their time together truly long enough to bind Hunter to him, or was hisHuntsman merely biding his time to escape? Trust doesn't come easily for thehead of a Brumal mafia family, but in the end, Odin only has two choices. TrustHunter and keep him. Or let those old suspicions bloom and lose him forever.

*Trigger Warnings: This is the third and final installment in the A Whisperin the Dark trilogy, a Dark MM Sci-Fi Mafia Romance, which features a superpossessive mafia leader and the man from his past he's always wanted. Teaser Tuesday

“Pissed is the term you’re looking for,” Kit snapped.

What was worse than pissed? Because he was there. Oh boywas he there. How dare they hide this? How fucking dare they. Didn’tthey think this was something he needed to know? It only affected his damn lifeafter all. Kit was a human. They were dragons. They weren’t even the samespecies!

Reading about fated mates in paranormal romances was onething. Nothing was hotter than a snarly bad boy who was all protective andshit. Getting slapped in the face with it was something else entirely. And hehad two of them—mates, that was.

Did they think his little human brain couldn’t handle it?Were they trying to—and hear him out here—protect him? Clue him in gently so hewouldn’t worry his pretty little head?

Oh, hell no. He was not some damsel in distress. This wasone time he wished he was a paranormal so he could flash some fang anddo a snarly growl at them.

Instead all he could do was grit his very human teeth andnot shake them silly. Not to mention, getting his ass yanked into some weirdvision thingy by a deity was not helping his mood either.

Kit snorted. When the time was right? Right for whom? Yeah,he’d heard that one before.

“But I’m the one who is responsible for this, not Connie. It was my decision not to tell you yet,” Hudson said, taking a step toward Kit,holding his hand out.

Kit pointed his finger at Hudson. “No. We’re not gettingall touchy-feely until I get some answers.” Every time they touched him, helost his mind. “Start talking.”

“Why don’t we sit down? In fact, I think I need caffeinefor this conversation. Kit? Please?” Connie asked. “Obviously, you’re upset—”

“Pissed is the term you’re looking for,” Kit snapped.

Thursday Book Recommendation

These are books I’ve read and really enjoyed. Most of what I talk about will probably be paranormal/scifi but not always. Although it’s rare, I do read some contemporary.

This week is:  Shai: A dark gay romantic suspense novel (Twisted Web #1) by H.L Night, H.L Day

Blurb: How do you play a game when there aren’t any rules?
Petty crook and drug dealer Elijah Page’s plan was simple. Stay off the feuding crime-lords’ radar for long enough to make a quick buck in the city, and then get out. He couldn’t have been more naïve. Captured and beaten by McIntyre, he escapes death, only to find himself in the hands of McIntyre’s opponent. Shai is an enigma, a man as charming as he is twisted. And he’s set his sights on possessing Elijah—body and soul.
Shai will stop at nothing until he’s ousted McIntyre. In the meantime, fate has provided him with an interesting distraction in the shape of the stubborn and rebellious Elijah. Elijah’s lips may say one thing, but his body says something else entirely. Elijah might think he has what it takes to go up against a man like Shai, but he’s wrong. He’s nothing but a fly in Shai’s web, and Shai will always be two steps ahead.A game ensues. One that Elijah may not even realize he’s playing, or just how big a pawn he is. Everything is at stake. Possibly even his heart and mind. By the time Shai has finished with him, there might not be anything left of the man he used to be.
Let the games begin.

A dark mm romantic suspense featuring snakes as a weapon, a manipulative main character, and a few twists and turns along the way.
Please make sure you check the trigger warnings before reading.
Welcome to the dark world of Malicious Gods: Egypt. A collection of standalone modern tales, both magical and non-magical, featuring deities from Ancient Egypt. You’ll find reincarnated Gods, assassins, gangs, madness, and different realities. Expect high heat and morally ambiguous themes. Seductive and often twisted, they are not for the fainthearted.
