I'm so glad you reached out about this. A few months ago, The Dead Weight and its sequel (both previously self-published) were acquired by Sourcebooks. The title and cover of book 1 have been changed, but the story, characters, and text are all the same - minus a few typos! The cover and title of book two will be changing in the coming months. A third book in this series is complete, and still on the way, but it will be coming a little later than I planned. So, that's why you're seeing the two books merged. In addition, both books have been removed from all sales platforms temporarily. Book 1 will be re-released with its new title and cover on August 25, and Book 2 will come out in spring 2027. I'll always post updates to my Instagram account, so feel free to follow along! There are more surprises in the works for book one :)(less)

Jo, I completely enjoyed "The Dead Weight" and I am now waiting on pins and needles for book 2 "The Dead Weight: Resistance" My question to you is : will this outstanding series be a trilogy? And if so, do you have a tentative release date for book #3? PLEASE CONTINUE WRITING AND I WILL CONTINUE PURCHASING, READING AND ENJOYING YOUR BOOKS!!! Thank you So Much....

First, I'm SO glad you liked The Dead Weight, and I truly appreciate you reaching out with your question. You guessed right - The Dead Weight will be a trilogy! The first draft of book three is complete... but my first drafts are always a mess. So, I'm predicting another 3-6 months of reworking it and partnering with my editing team.
