Those Crazy Bohemians (Artist's Living Quarters)

As an indie author there are times where I get so busy that I don't even have time to think about blogging! It's been awhile since my last "Those Crazy Bohemian" post. That's because I released the final book in The Gastien Series and during that process all energy is devoted entirely to that process.

I'm glad to be back for a post, though. You know those crazy bohemians have a special place in my heart. After all, I'm a painter, too. It all sounds like great fun, reading about those Impressio...

Introducing the Final Book in The Gastien Series! Gastien: Circle of Destiny

Today is a day for tooting my own horn. Yes, I'm going to be selfish and talk about my books. You see, I have finally finished my frist series. The Gastien Series in a set of five full length novels. They are adult drama/family saga steeped in history. From the womanizing grandfather, Gastien, to his very conventional son, and now his darling gay namesake, we travel over one hundred years from Paris to the U.S.A. and back again.

This series is very dark and emotional. It is raw, gritty and con...

And Gideon Grows

Our grandchild by love, Gideon, recently turned 18 months old. What changes I have seen over the last six months! Walking, running, spinning. Teeth, loss of baby fat, talking! What fun it's been taking care of him during the week!

I will forever remember the day he walked down the hall, at about fourteen months until he got to the end, by the closed bathroom door. I was watching from "afar" and he was "all by himself". I watched from the back as he stopped and stood facing that door, planning...

Those Crazy Bohemians (Unsung hero: Pére Tanguy)

If I asked  a large number of people to raise their hands if they knew what Impressionism was, I'm willing to wager that a fair number of them would do so. A decent amount would still keep their hands up if I asked how many could name at least one Impressionist by last name.

But if I asked how many could keep their hands raised by naming the man who made it possible for many of these great artists to keep painting, I am pretty darn sure that almost all of the hands would go down. Unsung h...

GUEST POST: Author Victoria King-Voreadi

Today I am taking a little break away from those crazy bohemians to present an author that I think you might enjoy. After all, who can resist reading about someone brave enough to tango with the grim reaper? I am impressed with Victoria’s dedication and determination to make another person’s dream come true. Interrogation Tango sounds like a great story to get lost in.  I hope you read it and let me know how you liked it. Without further ado please let me present Victoria King-Volre...

Those Crazy Bohemians (Le Chat Noir)

It's been awhile, but I am back to my "Crazy Bohemians" theme. Although I love to blog, writing novels and painting take up most of my time. It's amazing how quickly time passes before I realize that I've let my blog go!

Here are a couple of questions for you: Do you know where stand-up comedy got its start? How about the very first flickering in the brain about making movies? No? Well, I can tell you where. So could any of those crazy bohemians of nineteenth century Paris!

The answer would be...
