Our controversial conspiracy thriller series The Orphan Trilogy (The Ninth Orphan/ The Orphan Factory / The Orphan Uprising) is now in Amazon bestseller lists in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany and France.

Predictably, the most popular novel in the series is book one, The Ninth Orphan. It seems many readers are buying book one first before investing in the discounted box set.

Meanwhile, The Orphan Trilogy remains #3 on Goodreads’ Conspiracy Fiction list behind the Dan Brown novels Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, which are currently #1 and #2 respectively. The next three places on that list are filled by books one, two and three in The Orphan Trilogy.

In the latest 5-star review of our highly rated adventure-romance, Fiji: A Novel, Amazon reviewer ‘Aspired Writer’, of South Africa, describes the novel as “An excellent read, (an) exciting story from beginning to end”.

An insightful historical romance that gives you a better overview into the life of the Fijian people and their customs. Customs that for us as Europeans were unheard off, barbaric and cruel. But then Europeans (were) not innocent in their dealings with people, just more secretive about it as we know from history.

The authors’ intriguing plot kept you focused on the pages as you venture between action filled pages and the romantic nuances in the book.

Starting out as lust filled connections Nathan Johnson and Susannah Drake were the opposites in character from each other but yet the chemistry was undeniable. Susannah’s dreams filled with the young American and what he would do with her. But yet she kept her distance, knowing the arrogant and selfish man would never fit into her life.

Her father Reverend Drake, missionary to the Fiji islands did not condone the interaction and kept them apart as far as he could. But when fights erupted and Susannah was abducted he paid the ultimate price trying to protect his daughter….

….Colorful and descriptive, you are part of the lives of the people as this well written and fast paced book captures the attention.

Good and evil the two forces that fight against each other to gain the upper hand, running amok in the lives of Susannah and Nathan. Interesting characters added to the storyline making it a believable, entertaining and well planned plot.

Full moon arises over Wellington, New Zealand… Beautiful!

This 3-minute video clip of the full moon rising over Wellington, New Zealand was shot on a calm summer evening as people gathered on the Mt Victoria Lookout point.

The stunning video is one single real-time shot with no manipulation whatsoever. The camera was placed on a hillside over 2km from the Lookout point, and was shot with the equivalent of a 1300mm lens.

The amount of planning, trial and error, and luck that went into this are mind blowing. The photographer tried to capture this for over a year with many failed attempts. But recently it all came together in a way even he couldn’t have hoped.

One thing I encourage you to do is watch this on the biggest screen you have – don’t waste it on an iphone screen.

Release date nears for Dan Brown’s latest conspiracy thriller novel

Fans of The Da Vinci Code bestselling author Dan Brown don’t have long to wait until the release of his latest novel, Inferno. May 14th is D-Day for the book’s release in North America by Doubleday and in the UK by Transworld Publishers, a division of The Random House Group.  The book will have a first printing of four million copies. 

Inferno, featuring the return of renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, is set in Italy and centers on one of history’s most enduring and mysterious literary masterpieces, Dante’s Inferno.

Our international thriller novel The Ninth Orphan (The Orphan Trilogy, #1) was seven years in the making. We started writing the manuscript in mid-2004 with literally dozens of rewrites to follow…Those rewrites were driven by doing indepth story analysis after each new draft and most importantly being honest with ourselves. We also sought feedback from other novelists plus experienced figures in the publishing industry. The Ninth Orphan has a complex, layered plot set in various locations all over the world, so we refused to rush it. We knew the story needed a lot of research and thought to completely nail it. After seven years of blood, sweat and tears we were 100% sure we had the perfect spy thriller novel on our hands.

In mid-2011, The Ninth Orphan was finally published (by Sterling Gate Books).
