Charming Loves DinosaursCharming Moon Knight is a paleontologist who works at the Paleo Institute in Settler, Oregon. She has a deep understanding of the history of our planet, and she’s made several important contributions to the field of paleontology. Her work at the Paleo Institute has helped to advance its reputation on the world stage, and her expertise is highly valued by her colleagues. Recently, she helped find a new specimen of dinosaur out in the desert that the Paleo Institute is devoted to unearthing before winter sets in.
Her Dedication to the RiftersCharming has been with the rifters since shortly after her arrival in Settler. Earl Blacke brought her to Settler, and hangs around like a stalker. When he confessed who he really was, Charming was shocked but accepted that a relative of hers traveled to the present from 1888. She doesn’t trust Earl’s motives, but knows he won’t let her down. Not without letting himself down. She knows going through the rift is against the rules, but she’ll do anything to protect her fellow rifters.

Meet Sanjy Strom: From Betrayer to Best Friend
Sanjy Strom is one of the most intriguing characters in the Backworlds series. She first appeared in Book 6 as the ambassador from the Foreworlds, sent to help create a fragile alliance between the Backworlds and the Foreworlds. At first, she seemed like an ally to Craze and the other Backworlders, but soon enough, she betrayed Craze and left him for dead. She soon changed her mind and betrayed her government to help Craze wage war against the Quassers.
It’s easy to see why Sanjy became the bane of Craze’s existence. She was cunning, manipulative, and willing to do whatever it took to achieve her goals. But as the war raged on, something unexpected happened. Sanjy began to show a different side of herself – a compassionate, loyal, and selfless side that was hard to ignore.
Sanjy went from being a snake to one of Craze’s dearest friends. She proved herself time and time again, putting her own life on the line to help the Backworlders in their fight against the Quassers. She even sacrificed her own reputation among the Foreworlds when she chose to stay with Craze and his crew instead of returning home.
Sanjy’s character arc is a testament to the power of redemption and the complexity of human relationships. She started out as a villain, but by the end of the series, she had become one of the most beloved characters. Her journey shows that people can change, that even the most unlikely friendships can form, and that sometimes, the greatest loyalty can come from the unlikeliest of sources.

Exploring Fremont Point: Weird and Wonderful Oregon #NaturePhotography #NatureBeauty #photography
Oregon is famous for its scenic beauty, and Fremont Point is no exception. Located near Summer Lake, this hidden gem offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The destination was originally Summer Lake in the Great Basin. The lake dries up the farther from spring it is. So, it was pretty dry. The vistas are still stunning and worth a visit, however.
A sign pointed up a dirt road to Fremont Point, and we decided to go see what was there. It was a pretty steep climb, so we figured it’d be a great viewpoint. It was, but the best part was the drive up. The hillsides were covered with this fairytale landscape of dead trees and flowers. It was incredibly beautiful and surreal. Rarely are we disappointed by exploring a road by chance and seeing where it goes. This one was certainly worthwhile.
The landscapes were stunning and it was so still and quiet. There were a lot of places to pull over and go exploring. There were vast vistas and smaller copses to discover, and all worth the time.
You can see a wee bit of water through the trees, which what was left of Summer Lake.
It’s always splendid to find a hidden gem when exploring the lesser-traveled places in Oregon. Oregon certainly has a lot of beauty to offer. Hope you find some spectacular places to explore where you are.

Wakanda Forever: #MovieReview #scifi #sciencefiction
“Wakanda Forever” is a thrilling and action-packed addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that delivers on the promise of its predecessor, “Black Panther.” The film takes viewers back to the technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda, and explores the aftermath of T’Challa’s death.
One of the standout aspects of “Wakanda Forever” is its focus on strong and compelling female characters. The film centers around the character of Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, who steps up to lead Wakanda in the wake of her brother T’Challa’s death. Other notable female characters include Okoye, played by Danai Gurira, and Nakia, played by Lupita Nyong’o, who all play key roles in the story.
The tribute to the real-life death of Chadwick Boseman was really touching. The pain expressed by many of the actors seemed real, and it made the film richer. So making his death part of the story took the Black Panther in new directions. It was not the typical, predictable Marvel Movie, which made me love it even more.
A new source of vibranium is found, which leads to an exciting chain of events that kept building and building. It is an exciting story in many ways – the action, the characters, their emotional journeys, the wonder, and the film has a lot of heart. A lot. The perspectives of the characters is not one-dimensional, which made the story all the more compelling.
This movie requires no beer to enjoy it. In fact, I plan on watching it again. If you loved Black Panther and Wonder Woman, you’re going to love this movie. It’s rare to get a great story with big action, so I would say this is one of Marvel’s best.

Klara and the Sun by Kazuo IshiguroIf you’re looking for a science fiction worth reading book, this is a novel you won’t want to miss. This thought-provoking and deeply emotional, this work of fiction is a testament to the power of storytelling, and it explores themes of love, sacrifice, and what it means to be human.
Set in a not-too-distant future, Klara and the Sun follows the story of an Artificial Friend named Klara, who is designed to provide companionship to children. Through her unique perspective, Klara becomes increasingly aware of the complexities of human emotions and relationships.
Ishiguro is a master storyteller, and his writing style is both sparse and precise, yet it conveys a tremendous amount of emotion and depth. His ability to peel away layers of the story, revealing unexpected depths and complexities, is truly remarkable.
