One Candle is Lit

Later that year, I wrote my first ever chapter story. The Tater Tot, was about a potato driving a convertible...that's all I remember to be honest. I was so proud of that piece! I stood in front of the whole class and read my story out loud. I lived in my head a lot as a child. I wanted to be a character from a story. I wanted to travel, have adventures, and to simply be anyone else besides myself.
It wasn't until high school that I met LSU. LSU taught journalism and English. I fell in love all over again with writing. LSU didn't have a magic candle, but a magic blue pen instead. That blue pen edited the snot out of her students work. LSU expecting a lot from her students, that's why our high school paper won so many awards.
That drive to be better, to write, to tell a story sometimes has to be reignited when an authors candle has lost its flame. Sometimes, the author is the one that sets the fire, but often...it is others that come along and set us ablaze.

Surrounded by People
Hello everyone! I wanted to take this time to thank some very special people. It has taken me a long time to even picture myself as an author. I have an amazing support group, who push me, support me, and hold my hand every day. This group started out as a bunch of strangers, but have become more than friends. They have become my beautiful and loving family. I can honestly say, that without them, I would not be where I am today. So, to Casey, Charles, Denise, Jason, LC, Lissa, MJ, Monika, Piper, Zach, and Xara I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are all brilliant authors, and I owe everything to you.
