Waiting on Wednesday: Going Vintage
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, showcasing books that we are waiting to read hosted by Breaking the Spine.
When I first read the blurb, I fell in love. This sounds like such a fun read.
About Going Vintage: When Mallory discovers that her boyfriend, Jeremy, is cheating on her with an online girlfriend, she swears off boys. She also swears off modern technology. Inspired by a list of goals her grandmother made in 1962, Mallory decides to “go vintage” and return to a simpler time (when boyfriends couldn’t cheat on you online). She sets out to complete grandma’s list: run for pep club secretary, host a dinner party, sew a homecoming dress, find a steady, do something dangerous.
But the list is trickier than it looks. And obviously finding a steady is out . . . no matter how good Oliver (Jeremy’s cousin) smells. But with the help of her sister, she’ll get it done. Somehow.

REAPER IS HERE!
WOOOOOOOO….HOOOOOOOOO.
It’s here. It’s finally here!
Thanks to everyone who put up with me… I mean, supported me on this journey. Reaper wouldn’t have happened without my family and friends.
A special shout-out to the real reason why I made it this far goes to the Bean and the hubby. You guys are my world.
Let’s celebrate with a little music.

2 Days…. Well, technically…
TWO DAYS…. Techinically, Reaper is out tomorrow, but this was the countdown to the release day. DAY ONE IS THE RELEASE DAY.
AND THAT’S TOMORROW!
Holy snickerdoodle… THAT’S TOMORROW!
Since Quincy has an unusual last name, I’ll give you the heads up on how to pronounce it:
He hands it over, brushing his fingers against mine. “I didn’t catch your last name. Amarillo?”
“Ah-more-aun-tee.”
Well, that’s it. The end of the teaser. By this time tomorrow, you can READ THE ENTIRE BOOK!
Maybe by this time tomorrow, this will start to feel real.
Happy Reading.

4… FOUR WHOLE DAYS
I feeling like running outside and shouting FOOOUURR.
If I lived on a golf course, that would be funny. As it is, the neighbors probably wouldn’t get it.
As you lower your thumb, and hold up four fingers… think about this little snippet:
“There’s a H-A-P-P-Y-B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y sign in metallic colors hanging on the wall and a huge balloon floating too close to the chandelier. I half expect a clown to pop out from the closet”

Reaper Playlist: Second Chance by Shinedown
Last post of the Reaper Playlist and the third appearance by Shinedown. They’ve got some great songs, don’t they?
I hope you’ve enjoyed the Reaper playlist. It’s been a blast to share these songs that remind me of characters and scenes.

6 Days and Counting…
I really feel like singing the 12 Days of Christmas as I type this…
Anyway, that will have to wait until the end of the year.
Let’s get on with the 6th day teaser…
“He doesn’t say a word though. He’s not a big talker but he is big. He should be a poster child for what happens when steroids are abused.”

Waiting on Wednesday: Period 8
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, showcasing books that we are waiting to read hosted by Breaking the Spine.
I love Chris Crutcher. This book sounds right up my alley.
About Period 8:
In this full-length novel from Chris Crutcher, his first since the best-selling Deadline, the ultimate bully and the ultimate good guy tangle during Period 8.
Paul “the Bomb” Baum tells the truth. No matter what. It was something he learned at Sunday School. But telling the truth can cause problems, and not minor ones. And as Paulie discovers, finding the truth can be even more problematic. Period 8 is supposed to be that one period in high school where the truth can shine, a safe haven. Only what Paulie and Hannah (his ex-girlfriend, unfortunately) and his other classmates don’t know is that the ultimate bully, the ultimate liar, is in their midst.
Terrifying, thought-provoking, and original, this novel combines all the qualities of a great thriller with the controversy, ethics, and raw emotion of a classic Crutcher story.

7 Days and Counting …
Lucky number seven.
What a great way to start 2013!
It’s appropriate though, since the 7th is the release day.
I think this is my new favorite number.
