I Got Another Great Review for my novella Underdog!
I was blown away by both the grittiness and compassion in the story. Prison is a society within a society, and Glenn takes us on a journey in the "belly of the beast". It's not wonder inmates at Pelican Bay underwent a hunger strike. The conditions are harsh, prisoners against prisoners and guards against prisoners. These stories need to continue to be told. Thank you Glenn for your courage, and honesty.

California prisoners make historic call for peace between racial groups in California prisons and jails
California prisoners make historic call for peace between racial groups in California prisons and jails
It is awesome to see the prisoners respond this way. Not all prisoners are murderers. 70% of California's prison inmates are there for drug crimes and poverty crimes. They are rehabilitating themselves by forming together and fighting for a common cause.Report

Review
A harrowing, down-and-dirty depiction--sometimes reminiscent of Steven Soderbergh's Traffic--of America's war on drugs, by former dealer and California artist Langohr. Locked up for a decade on drugs charges and immersed in both philosophical tomes and modern pulp thrillers, Langohr penned Roll Call, a light fictionalization of his troubled life. "I went from obsessively pacing my cell and wondering and worrying about how I was actually going to get my attorney to defend me, and how many years this sentence would bring," writes Langohr in an afterword, "to realizing that if I find a way to write what's in my head, I can find a way out of this hole I had put myself in!" Roll Call makes for exciting reading--gunplay, covert operations and backhanded deals abound. A vivid, clamorous account of the war on drugs. --Kirkus Discoveries, Nielsen Business Media, 770 Broadway, N.Y YkFrom the Author
The author, Glenn Langohr spent 10 years inside the most violent prisons in California on drug charges. He paints the culture into words and takes you on a journey into the belly of the beast with an authentic look at gang warfare behind bars. Mexican Mafia in motion...The author will gift his books FREE from the Kindle store to those who can't afford it...

I Got an Awesome 5 Star Review From Professor Keramet!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating Insights September 7, 2012By K. ReiterFormat:Kindle EditionThis is a page-turner of a read about life inside the California prison system, told from the perspective of an experienced and thoughtful former prisoner, who describes remaining unaffiliated with the various prison gangs, but collaborating and mediating among them to maintain peace on the prison yards.
This first-hand account of the California prison system is not only interesting, but provides an useful counterpoint (and compliment) to more academic accounts of prison life.Comment |

I get to speak at the University of California Irvine!
God is so good! Assistant Professor Keramet, who already interviewed me and read one of my books, now wants me to speak to her class. I am honored to also be speaking with Ms Dolores Canales about the criminal justice system and solitary confinement as it relates to the eighth amendment prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. Ms Dolores is an activist like I am for prison reform. To purchase or check out my books on Amazon go here- http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00571NY5A

My radio interview with Barbara at the University of California Irvine!

Barbara is an amazing writer herself and a great contact. She's pretty much the queen of Orange County and knows all of the agents in LA! I'm hoping my drug war and prison material gets more publicity and some big shots realize the potential for movies and TV.
Thank God my novella Race Riot is still number 1 in the UK! It's been two straight months. PR Newswire articles
