Diana Ballew resides in Temecula, California, but she was raised in Virginia, where her passion for history began. She is a PAN member of Romance Writers of America and a member of GSRWA. Additionally, she is a founder and the past vice president of Evergreen RWA, located in Everett, Washington.

Diana’s writing combines her active imagination with her love of history and research to create vibrant characters in sizzling tales that blend vintage vixens with haunting heroes.

Her first best-selling novel, Thorns of Eden, instantly became a favorite among historical romance fans and Civil War buffs. Thorns of Eden is set against the backdrop of the Peninsula Campaign of 1862 during the American Civil War.

You had me at steamy! LOL :) Yes, I did check out the book video and really liked it. I have fond memories as a child visiting historical sites all over the country. I still enjoy visiting as an adult. I have a sister-in-law in Virginia and enjoy visiting Civil War sites when I get a chance. I definitely understand the rich historical backdrop you have.

I adore historical Southern romance novels. My favorites have always been Civil War romance. Years ago you could find them everywhere. Not so much these days. I grew up in Virginia with Civil War history all around me, so it was the natural setting for me when I wrote this story. I'm happy to say the book is getting great reviews. If you love a steamy historical romance with a hero that melts your butter, you'll really like Thorns of Eden. I still dream about the hero, Major Rayce Hampton, I created.
