And here’s a free little teaser, just to hold you over a bit.
***
She pulled his face the remaining few inches until his lips met hers, and then everything dizzy spiraled into that one union. His lips were hot and soft and sweet and salty at the same time. They moved on hers tenderly, tasting, testing, and when his tongue touched hers it was better than she could have imagined. She sighed into his mouth, feeling his hands in her hair, feeling his mouth claim hers, feeling her body let go.
She was kissing Simon Chase. She was kissing Simon Chase.
Wait . . .
She couldn’t just let go. There was a reason she—but oh, God, he dove deeper, cradling her head in his arms as he explored her mouth like a man starved. She was starving, too, and she wanted—oh, God she wanted—
And she wasn’t pulling away.

Enjoy? More to come!

Christmas Crack (yes…it’s that good)
My nephew brags that I’m his crack dealer, and I proudly take a bow. Christmas Crack, that is. And it is truly addicting and amazing. All you need is nuts and chocolate and a crockpot. And these are my ingredients, but you can substitute any nuts you like and any type of chocolate chips you like. This has varied from the original that I got the first time, so feel free to tweak it for you!
16 oz jar of peanuts (salted or unsalted)
pkg of pecans halves, walnuts, whatever nuts you’d like (I added for the nutty freaks around here)
12 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 oz bag milk chocolate chips
12 oz bag peanut butter chips
12 oz bag dark chocolate chips (I added this because I love dark chocolate)
12 oz bag Heath chocolate chips (I do this for my hubby who loves Heath bars)
2) 1 lb pkgs of chocolate almond bark
Layer ingredients in a large crockpot (starting with peanuts). Layer in nuts every so often to keep the ratio good. For my family, the more nuts, the better. Turn the heat on low, cover with lid, and leave sitting for 2 hours. Then remove lid and stir everything to combine. Replace lid and leave sitting for another 30 minutes. Stir again and then spoon mixture onto wax paper or aluminum foil (I learned the hard way not to put directly on a plate…way more work than is necessary). Allow to harden for at least one hour.
EAT!!!

Win a Kindle Fire!
Yep, you saw that right, I have a Kindle Fire up for grabs!!
Let me backtrack… Did you love LOVING THE CHASE, the beginning of my Heart of the Storm series? Are you anxiously awaiting Simon’s book, the second in the series, THE SWEETEST CHASE, coming out in a couple of months? Me too! I can’t wait to share that book with you! And it’s totally up for preorder….just hanging out there waiting for you.
Amazon: http://amzn.to/1jF0E4x
In the spirit of Christmas giving and also the spirit of THE SWEETEST CHASE coming out in February, I’d love to give away this Kindle Fire to a random preorder-er. (That’s a word, right?) Just comment below with your favorite Chase sibling so far, and tell me you’ve preordered Simon’s book! Proof of preorder will be asked of the winner, so take a quick screenshot of the order (if you already have ordered–thank you!) so you can slide it over to me. (No need to include it below in your comment). Preorders are hugely important to a book’s opening, so you are not only potentially winning an e-reader for yourself or a stocking stuffer, you’re helping an author! Contest open until next Saturday, Dec 12th!
So let’s go!

Sunday with the beasts…
These are my heathens.
Up front is Demi, i.e. “Buffalo” and bringing up the rear about to tackle her for the attention she feels she needs 24/7 is Gracie, i.e. “The Beast”. Or “Flailing Mouth” as we’ve dubbed her indian name.
They are watching me work on my newsletter today, because it’s exciting like that. And….I think Gracie just ate something she shouldn’t….like fur off the tennis ball that she keeps pulling off….because she was chewing something and stopped when I gave her the eye. Like a little kid caught doing something wrong. Yep…..there’s the green fur.
So…I digress. Have you signed up for my newsletter? It is going out this week, with a TON of info on FREE BOOKS coming your way. Did you catch that? Free. Giveaways galore, a chance to read my new book before it’s out, and help me out along the way! So if you aren’t already on the distro, the link is right here, just click and fill out the quicky little form, and you’re good to go. I only send it out when there’s something to say, and I’ll never spam you. Pinky swear.
So what are you doing with your Sunday?

Maddi Marie’s Lemon Bars
Maddi in Loving The Chase made these as a kid and still loves these today…. You can make them now!
9×13 inch pan
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup butter, melted
4 eggs
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ cup all-purpose flour
5/8 cup lemon juice (can mix lemon and lime)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and grease a 9×13 inch pan. In a medium bowl, stir together 2 cups sifted flour and confectioners’ sugar. Blend in the melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden.
In a large bowl, beat eggs until light. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar, baking powder and 1/4 cup of flour so there will be no flour lumps. Stir the sugar mixture into the eggs. Finally, stir in the lemon juice. Pour over the prepared crust and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until bars are set. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Enjoy the yum!
