The Denver Post:

Quiznos’ president and CEO has stepped down after just 16 months on the job, saying that he needs to spend more time with his family.”

So, the CEO is gone. The shakeup continues.

More Family Time For Doug Pendergast?

Let me start off by saying that I’m all for family time. Most of us (me included)...

How The Franchise Community Can Show Military Veterans Their Gratitude

military veterans

I couldn’t see myself doing it. I’m just not wired that way. I do whatever I can to avoid physical pain. That’s whyI could never serve in the military.

If I would’ve been born in the early 1950’s instead of the late 1950’s, I would’ve been eligible for the military draft. If that had been the case, I would’ve pulled a Muhammad Ali. And, it wouldn’t be for religion reasons, as was the case for Ali.

I would’ve flown the coop because I would’ve been scared of dying, or of getting partially blow...

How To Research A Brand-New Franchise Opportunity

confused on how to research a brand-new franchise business opportunity
(A bit confused)

You’ve found a new franchise opportunity that really interests you.

This franchise seems to have everything (so far) you want in a franchise business.

It has a low cost of entry There’s plenty of territory available near you You like the product

But…

It’s a brand-new franchise concept. There is no track record to speak of. You’re starting to think that you may be about to make a risky move. But, you really like the concept. You “think” you can make it work in your neck of...

Franchise Business And Small Business News Roundup: May

franchise and small business news roundup
Here’s what’s happening news-wise, in the world of franchising and small business for May. Feel free to pass these stories around!

The biggest news, and it’s close to my heart because it affects our military veterans. It has to do with Amazon.com.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has just vowed to hire 25,000 veterans and spouses of active-duty military personnel over the next five years. This is huge! It’s great to see a U.S. company step up. Returning military veterans (and their spouses) are having...

The Difference Between Buying A Franchise And “Thinking About” Buying A Franchise Be Like

thinking about buying a franchise

Huge.

Ask anyone who’s done it. Buying a franchise and ” Thinking about buying a franchise” are vastly different.

They’re as different as:

Pink Floyd And Barry Manilow

Sunny and Cloudy

A smart carand an Expedition

A superpower and a wanna-be superpower

A franchise consultant and a franchise advisor

Buying A Franchise And “Thinking About Buying A Franchise”

It’s one thing to “look” at a few different franchise opportunities. There’s really no harm in doing that, right? No risk? Only potentia...
