How to Celebrate the Birth of HRU (Winter Solstice)

Dear Hru (Heru, Horus)

Oh how Set (Set-an, the Ego) has perverted your holy-day by convincing the sleepers that a hero was born to save them and shower them with wondrous gifts.  However, don’t fret because the Age of Information is among us, and Oset (Aset, Auset, Isis) and Nebhet (Nephthys) are steady erecting shrines to remind people of Osar (Asar, Ausar, Osiris), Our true Father who art in Heaven (Superconscious).  People are celebrating in every way they can to welcome you Hru such as making chakra trees and so on.

Today Hru, I decided to make a tree of life tree to welcome you. I decorated a little tree with lights to symbolize the benevolent spirits surrounding my family. I got nine ornamental globes and a star to represent the nine spheres on the tree of life or the nine Netcharu (guardian spirits) who are focused on our success. I also purchased a red and gold garland to represent our grandfather Rau (Kundalini) and hung it from the top of the star to the bottom of the tree.  Then, I made sure to place a brown cloth as a tree skirt to symbolize what I want to manifest physically into my life for the coming new year.

Oh Hru! Syncretism has never felt so good! So, this year I will start a new tradition by telling my child you Story of how you taught us how to reclaim our throne.

Thank you Hru for helping me to save me.  Anetch Hrak Hru (Salutations Hru)!

Happy Winter SoL-Stice

What Does “Raise Your Vibration/Energy/Conscious” Mean?

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings)

If you are new to spiritual development/magick you will often hear people say “You have to raise your vibration” or “You need to vibe at a higher frequency.”  Often times, a lot of people (especially seasoned practitioners) who use this term expects everyone to know what this term means but this lingo typically loses a lot of people. So let me explain what this means.

First it must be understood that there are numerous spiritual/magickal systems that exist, which theorize how to spiritually grow and magickally evolve. The two most popular systems are the Tree of Life, which is based upon the belief that metaphysically we all have 12 spheres called sephiroth that correspond to different levels of consciousness.  The second most popular system is the energy system, which is based upon the belief that we all have seven psychic energy centers called chakras.  Now, I have to state a disclaimer so that this is not interpreted literally.  Disclaimer: Please understand that these are the two most popular systems that theorizes how to spiritually.  They are not the only truth.

Taoism & Huna

There are numerous other spiritual systems that exist because as long as man and woman have walked the earth.

They have pondered the mysteries of the Universe and the human spirit.  So there are numerous systems that exist such as the Druid system, the Yoruba Ifa system, the Huna system, Taoism, Kamta, etc.  This means whichever system you decide to follow, any of these systems will work.  Simply choose the one system that best fits your needs.

Maa Aankh with Utchat

Kamta’s Maa Aankh

Returning to our subject matter at hand, both the sephiroth and the chakra system, along with all of the other spiritual systems correspond with each other because they are based upon universal truths regarding the nature of the human spirit. In other words, all spiritual systems focus on spiritual development through raising one’s consciousness/energy.  This is the reason it does not matter which system you choose, you cannot go wrong.

Therefore, when you hear people say “You have to raise your vibration” or “You need to vibe at a higher frequency.”  Typically they are speaking from a chakra perspective but the reference corresponds and overlaps with other systems, which is the reason most do not explain themselves when saying it.

So what does it mean to raise your vibration/consciousness?

First everyone has their own way of explaining this concept so I am going to explain it from a Kemetic shaman perspective.  To comprehend this you need to understand that there is no such thing as good and bad, or good and evil. There is only Energy, which has a positive and negative charge. In the Kemetic tradition this energy is called Ra, Re or Rau (incorrectly called the sun god, Chi or Ki in Taoism, Prana/Kundalini in the chakra system, etc.).  The two charges are called in the Kemetic tradition Shu (the Taosim Yang) and Tefnut (The Taoism Yin), the so-called god and goddess of air and fire, and moisture.

Shu the Kemetic Yang (left), Ra the Kemetic Chi/Ki (center), Tefnut the Kemetic Yin (right), standing on Maa

If this energy is too Shu (Yang), then it is too hot and dry and burns like an uncontrollable fire.  In this case the energy is not conducive for most life such as life in a desert, hence the northernmost part of Kemet called TaSett (the Red Lands), which was mythologically ruled by Set (the lower self).

If this energy is too Tefnut (Yin), then it is too cold and wet, and floods like an uncontrollable water, thus making it difficult for living conditions as well. This is symbolized as the southernmost part of Kemet which flooded annually called KamTa the Black Lands. This region was symbolized by the white Hedjet crown worn by Osar who was murdered by his younger brother Set due to his naivete.

However, when there is a relatively perfect balance between the Shu (Yang) and the Tefnut (Yin), the burning fire is able to clear enough water to make way for land (earth) and produce life (seeds, etc.). This balance is called Maa, which is personified as the goddess Maat but illustrated as Hru (Heru, Horus) who wears the double white (crown of Osar) and red (crown of Set) together as the Pschent crown.

Hopefully you get the picture that because there is only Energy. Everything that exist in composed of this Energy or the Rau force with two polar opposites (Shu/Yang and Tefnut/Yin) fluctuating to obtain Maa.

Now, it is important to understand that this One Energy exists in everything and manifests itself in everything in different ways but everything also has these same polar opposites that exist within it. For instance, every species on the planet has a Shu (masculine aspect) and a Tefnut (feminine aspect). Even within the species, everything has a Shu and Tefnut, which are all different manifestations of the same Energy.

When this Energy manifests itself In human beings.  If the Energy is too Shu/Yang then human beings are egotistic, selfish, pessimistic, heavy, angry, depressed, fearful, anxious, worrisome, hateful, envious, excessively stressed, etc.  However, if the Energy within human beings is too Tefnut/Yin, then human beings are dreamy because are out of touch with physical reality.  These individuals are so withdrawn from the physical realm that they live their life believing that all they need to do is mediate and/or do rituals. For instance, these are the people who will recognize that they need money and meditate or do a ritual for a job but will not fill out an application or go and look for a job. A lot of people who claim to be spiritual suffer from being too Tefnut, which is the reason most “spiritual people” are financially broke. If our Kemetic ancestors saw us living this way and claiming to be “spiritual” they would correct us and remind us that Kemet was a prosperous nation and that the people lived a prosperous life.

This is because ideally being spiritual means being in balance or Maa. Although Maa is personified as the goddess Maat (Ma’at), the symbolic representation of Maa is Hru (Heru, Horus) after he has overcome his trial and tribulations and ascended to the throne where he wears the double white and red Pschent crown, which is the symbol for Maa and a unified country/spirit.

Therefore, from a Kemetic perspective unless an individual has chosen to live their life as a renunciate (monk, nun, etc.) whereas their physical needs are provided by others.  Being ”spiritual” means living in balance or Maa where you engage in both realities like Hru who stands in the middle of both lands.

From this perspective, raising your vibration/consciousness means to put yourself in a state of alignment, balance or Maa.

How Do You Raise Your Vibration/Energy or Put Yourself in Alignment?

Keeping in mind that everything in our universe is composed of Energy. This means we are all connected to one another and everything by this same Universal Energy. Therefore, everything that exists is composed of energy which vibrates at a specific frequency. By the way, the terms “vibrate” and “vibration” are just a fancy ways of saying your overall being.

Since everything in our universe is composed of energy and therefore vibrates at a particular frequency. When you are being spiritual because you are in a state of alignment or Maa, then you are full of optimism, luck, etc. because everything flows to you because you are vibrating at a frequency that attracts to you whatever you want.

For instance, if you are looking for a mate but you are hanging around family and friends who are constantly bashing the other sex stating that “wo/men ain’t no good!”  Then you will have a hard time finding a mate because you are not in alignment with others who want to find a mate, hence you are out of balance. Therefore, you must change your overall being or vibration by changing the way you feel, think and/or act to get a mate.

There are several ways to change your vibration/energy or align your consciousness with what you want and they are:

Change your thoughts by checking your beliefs and chanting mantras (if possible). Mantras can be a short prayer, sacred words, or a phrase repeated numerous times to generate energy and propel you to a specific goal. If you create your own mantras, be sure they are in the affirmative as if it has already occurred. For instance, I used to be very sarcastic and did not like speaking to people in the morning because I like quietness in the morning. So, when people asked how I was doing. I would quickly respond, “Another Monday” implying that another busy and stressful day like the first day of the week, so my Spirits/Universe made sure that every day was like Monday. To change my thought and how my day would unfold, I started replying “Peaceful and Abundant.” Of course, this generated conversation but it gave me a different vibration and made my day unfold in a very uplifting manner.
Express Gratitude for Things You Appreciate in Your Life. One of the little rituals I like to do is go to sleep saying what I am grateful for. When I awake I am typically upbeat and ready to take on the day. Another little ritual is that when I repeat a mantra for something I want, I express gratitude rather it manifests or not. Another trick that is good for manifesting more money is to smile every time you spend money. Be grateful that you have money to buy food, pay bills, etc.
Consume More Alkaline Foods. This means eating more foods such as nuts, seeds, vegetables, herbs, etc. and drink more water. Be mindful of the seasons and the environment you are in.  Also, remember too much fruit is just as bad as not enough.
Do More Cardiovascular Activities. If you are like me and do not care for aerobics exercises like jogging and running. Try other cardiovascular activities like dancing. Whatever you do, it should be fun and enjoyable.
Practice Maa by Giving to Others who are in need expecting Nothing in Return.

How Are Truly Spiritual People Supposed to Live

left-human-hand-photo-3025562

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

You know, since the destruction of the Kemetic Library of Alexandria, the suppression of shamanic cultures all around the world and oppression of spiritual societies, humanity has lost all models of how true spiritual men and women or gods and goddesses are supposed to act, behave and live in this physical world of illusion.

Courtesy of: http://solarey.net/burning-library-alexandria-egypt-africa/

We have no real heroes and she-roes, so the enemy tries to give us the ones they think are best for us. Don’t you find it interesting that they are always publicizing films about insurrection and revolution, yet quelling true movements?

Consequently, we have all been given subconscious models (programs) of what “spiritual people” or “heroes and she-roes” are supposed to be by the media, which is actually a ruse from the enemy.  The reason these warped models were given to us, was to discourage us from following the spiritual path.  Sidebar: This is the second way the enemy discourages us from spiritual practices. The first method is to demonize spiritual practices so that we fear them and view them as demonic and evil.

But, the thing that we have to remember is that if the enemy truly wanted us to come into our own and be the spiritual individuals (gods and goddesses) we are supposed to be. They would have publicized the truth about our history and cease demonizing our ancestral spirituality.  They will not because it does not serve their interest which is why we must look beyond the ordinary to see truth.  For instance, If you were like me and raised as a kid in the 1970s you probably were influenced by Kwai Chang Caine, the fictional kung-fu fighting Buddhist monk of the Kung Fu TV series who constantly meditated and walked on rice paper without leaving a footprint. Yes, I am not going to lie, I tried to walk as if I was walking on rice paper.  Hell, it was one of the 36 Chambers you had to pass (Laugh. For you all you old kung fu flicks and Wu Tang fans).

Kwai Chang Caine of the western martial arts TV series Kung Fu

For those raised in the late 1970s, the 1980s through the early 1990s, you probably were mostly influenced by George Lucas’ Jedi order from the Star Wars franchise. With that being the case, the most influential spiritual model would be Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. (BTW, those who were raised during the late 1990s and early 2000s would probably see Neo and Morpheus as spiritual role models but I will not include them in this because the authors of this franchise lost their way in the sequels).

All of these “spiritual” characters are archetypes of what people FEAR about spirituality, which drawn from Western psychology and cultural norms. To be clear, most people new to spiritual culture are under the impression that you must live your life like a Buddhist monk by following 348 ascetics rules, which includes no consuming of alcohol, no sensual misconduct, no consuming of meat, no possession of material objects, and constant meditation to reach enlightenment. Again, this is a ploy created by Set (our Ego/lower self) to discourage us from investing in our own spiritual salvation.  The truth of the matter is that while some spiritual practitioners may follow this ascetic lifestyle. It is not a requirement to be more spiritual. Yes, you heard it here, the ascetic lifestyle is one of the ways to be spiritual but it is not the only way.  There are numerous ways and they are all waiting for you to take your own heroic journey.  Below is the path I outlined based upon the Maa Aankh cosmogram that I had to undergo and continue to follow to some extent. Caution: Any time someone tells you that there is only “one” way, they are priming you for social control. Let’s read, on

The thing about the TRUTH is that the “enemy” cannot keep you from it. The enemy can only create obstacles to prevent you from learning the TRUTH. This is why the TRUTH was originally hidden in libraries because they knew that people are lazy and will not read.  It is the same reason they give an image that being “spiritual” is living an ascetic lifestyle because they know most people would be turned off by ascetic practices.  So, they have to put the TRUTH out and if you look deep enough you will see. That one of the best models of how spiritual people act, behave and live their lives can actually be seen in the Star Wars but to see it.  I need to explain it first. Before we begin, let me say that I am a Star Wars fan from the original trilogy when Lucas was directly influenced by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung’s protégé and famed mythologist Joseph Campbell, the author of a Hero’s Journey and The Hero With A Thousand Faces.  This is before the Star Wars epic was transformed into what it is now, a political agenda medium for social control.

Now, if you watched any of the Star Wars films you know that Obi-Wan Kenobi tells the young protagonist Luke Skywalker that his father Anakin Skywalker was seduced by the dark side of the force and became Darth Vader. So, when you watch the prequels, Episode I, II and III, and you see how Anakin Skywalker was seduced, you see it really wasn’t a seduction. It was that the Jedis truly lost their way and became that which they were against like a lot “spiritual people” do.

Obi Wan Kenobi talking to Luke

I do not want to turn this into a rant about Star Wars or theories about what the new Star War film is going be about.  But my problem with the whole Episodes I, II and III are that the Jedis are supposed to be like Buddhist monks.  For instance, Yoda is 900+ years old and we are led to believe that he and the other Jedis have never had a sexual relationship. Then, here comes Anakin who not only has an intimate relationship with a woman (who is at least ten years older than him. Yep). But, no other Jedi picks up on the fact that this kid is not a virgin. The other thing is that the Jedis didn’t pick up on the fact that Emperor Palpatine was a Sith Lord either and he was sitting right in front of them (Yoda, Obi-Wan, Mace, etc.).

Jedi Counsel

The reason Anakin switched to the dark side and the Jedis could not detect anything was because the Jedi Order had become a religion, and religion is basically a set of established cultural rules that morphs into dogma. Dogma is a tool of your lower self and when you subscribe to a dogma.  You judge others and create prejudices, thus becoming the opposite of what spirituality is.  Isn’t one of the things that “spiritual people” complain about church people is that they judge others and claim to be better than everyone else, yet live by a set of double-standards? Do you see now how the “conscious”, “spiritual” or “woke” concept has been hijacked?

Chancellor Palpatine who later becomes Emperor Palpatine was the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, who reminds us that evil is when you give into your Ego and are blinded by your Ego as the Jedi were.

Now, that being said, as I said earlier, the TRUTH cannot be dismissed. The TRUTH can only be hidden because it will always come out, so the one Jedi that did not adhere totally to the Jedi dogma was the character Qui Quan Jin. (Actually, there was another and her name was Ahsoka Tano but she is not included in the films.)

In Episode I, when Qui Quan Jin finds Anakin and sees that he is a slave. He initially was like sorry for your fate but we got to move on. It wasn’t until he meditated that he decided to help the young Anakin and take him on as an apprentice. When the Jedi Order ruled that Anakin was too old, they were speaking out of fear (dogma) and Qui Quan Jin realized it and said, he would train the kid anyway, hence going against the norm.

It is difficult for a lot of people to see that this character is actually being Spirit-led because we live in a society that is very much against listening to your Spirit, and instead encourages us to follow the whims of our feeling or intellect. This is the reason emphasis is placed on more colorful Jedis and Siths. But, what most people do not understand is that spirituality means following your Spirit particularly your Higher Self instead of your lower-self.  In other words, spirituality is about Fearing Nothing and trusting your Higher Self. It is about moving beyond our conditional subconscious four walls and venturing into the unknown realms of the Spirit.  To quote my Brah Cliff Green of  25, Black & Alive, “In order to grow you have to go above and beyond what you are used too.”

The point that I am making is that a truly spiritual person does not follow the whims of any group, no matter who they claim to be. A truly spiritual person listens to their Spirit and follows the Will of the Spirit, which is scary but you have to trust that the Spirit knows best.

What does this mean specifically? It means to follow what the Divine tells you from within. I know a lot of people don’t want to hear this but you do not have to be a vegetarian or vegan to be spiritual. If the Spirit tells you that you should be vegetarian or vegan, then so be it but doing it because everyone else is doing it is not following the Spirit. Vegetarianism and veganism are some of the new dogmatic religions that are preventing us from unifying nowadays. As soon as a vegetarian or vegan hears that a person eats pork, they immediately turn their nose up like the Jedi did to young Anakin. In fact, I have seen a lot of “spiritual people” who are so health-conscious turn their nose up to people who have any illnesses such as diabetes and so on. That’s not spiritual, is it? Meanwhile, people who claim not to be spiritual are more helpful to others regardless of their conditions, decisions and health status.

Some of us even look down at people who have chemicals or had perm their hair, thus making spirituality superficial. This is not spiritual, this is that same church mentality of old.

The simple truth is that if you want to be spiritual all you have to do is start listening to your Higher Self, which will lead you to do things that subconsciously you are not comfortable with, thus helping you to fight against your Ego, lower self or what is called in the Kemetic tradition as Set.  This is what is meant by being in the world but not of the world, which is why Hru sits in the center of the Mat Aankh and wears both the White and Red double Pschent Crown. It should also be noted that the astrological symbol for Hru and the Sun is a circle with dot in the center, which is another allusion to that spirituality is heroic.

Now, this does not mean that you subscribe to everything that someone does. It simply means you do for you and let others do what they think is best for them.  For instance, I do not eat pork but I am not going to unfriend someone and tell them that they are going to go to hell because they eat pork. That’s for them to decide for themselves, not me!

The enemy has tricked us into believing that we must save the world. No. Truly spiritual people are not here to save the world because the world does not need to be saved. This is an illusion created by religious groups to win the souls and minds of people.  We are here to save ourselves and help others who want to be saved help themselves. That’s it. We need to stop subscribing to this religious dogmatic thinking or said another way, stop superimposing our old Christian and Islamic beliefs on to spirituality.

The cool thing is that once we do this, we will really go far and write our own heroic (Hru) journey because we choose God/Goddess (The Spirit) as our role model.

3 Ways to Make Magick Work

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

If you ever talk to someone who has used magick successfully they will tell you that magick is both a science and an art. Magick is a science in the sense that everything that is used as a scientific explanation. For instance, the use of herbs, candles, oils, incense, etc. The purpose of altars, the belief systems, the different levels of trance (beta, alpha, theta, etc.), and so on.  These all have an effect upon our subconscious mind, which is all based upon scientific reasoning. However, everyone who practices magick will not get the same results because we all have different beliefs, different backgrounds, different perspectives, and therefore different ways of manifesting the change we desire. These differences is what makes it difficult for western scientists to study magick because western science is based upon measurable observable facts according to our five physical senses. Magick is as dynamic and as unique as we are so it will never produce the same physical results all the time, and this is what makes magick an art. It is also the reason why serious practitioners of magick devote so much time to strengthening their mental skills through spiritual development.

By the way, all true magi know that magick is both a science and art and should be able to explain this (the science and art aspect of magick).

It should be noted that since Judaism, Christianity and Islam destroyed the ancient schools and libraries of magick, and most of the shamanic societies.  Contemporary magis have had to take alternative paths to learn magick, which involved them obtaining college degrees.  Understand, that the reason many contemporary magis, like the priests and priestesses of old, have college degrees in secular systems is that one of the advantages of a college education is that it makes individuals develop self-control and self-discipline.  This self-control and self-discipline or will-power is necessary to be successful in practicing magick.  However, the reason many college-educated individuals practice magick is that they understand the limitations of our physical science and physical reality, which is influenced by metaphysically or magickally.

So, if magick has unpredictable results because it is dynamic, the question that comes to mind (especially to those who are new to this discipline) is how does it work and why do so many people continue to practice?

First there is a saying that you should remember, which is that:

“God allows everyone to perform a magickal act (or a miracle) once,

just to show them that it is possible.”

I am telling you this because you should look back in your life and see if you can find a magickal or miraculous event that took place, which defied regular logic. If you study this event, you will uncover a lot of secrets about how magick works and how your style or art of magick works. For instance, I have several examples but the one event that took place in my life and helped me to realize how magick work was my $3K goal.

I was at a decent job. It was just a job that I had stumbled upon which allowed me to catch up on my bills and get enough money to eventually go back to college. When I say that it was just a job, I really mean that I didn’t like it at all because it was so beneath me. It was a dead-end job that I really had no future in.  So, one day while studying how magick works and just trying it out I stated, “I want $3,000.”

Now I can’t remember if I repeated this several times or turned it into a mantra. All I know is that I did ask for $3K and then I totally forgot that I even made the request.

So, every morning, I dragged myself out of bed to go to my dead-end job. Like I said, it wasn’t a bad job but it was beneath my potential. I did my job efficiently and helped people at the plant but I just felt as if I could be doing so much more.  Like most people going to a job they really don’t like, I found myself saying, “I don’t want to go to work” or “I wish I did not have to go to work.” Yeah, those of you who know how magick can already see how I was setting myself up.

Now, again I am not sure of the timeline but it was probably a month or so later that the plant manager came in one day and closed his office door.  Then, he began calling people to his office one by one. I was one of those individuals whom he called, and what he told me was that they had to downsize the plant so my job was being phased out because it was not needed anymore.

Yep! I got laid off.

It was my first time ever getting laid off from a job so of course, all I kept thinking was “What did I do to deserve this?” and “Why me?”  Shortly after, the other thoughts of depression kicked in which were how was I going to pay my bills now? How was I going to eat? What was I going to do? Now I am probably not painting a true picture of how I was feeling but my anxiety was high which, kicked me into survival mode of thinking, “I gotta get another job!” Naturally, I started regretting complaining about my job.

Then one day I looked at my bank account and found that over three thousand dollars had been deposited from my old job. That’s when it hit me, that I had asked for $3K a little while ago.

Now, that event taught me a lot of lessons that are still with me today.

Lesson ONE:

It showed me that in order for the magick to manifest $3K. It looked for the easiest way to manifest my goal, which was for me to get laid off.  Let me say that again, the magick looked for the easiest way to manifest my desire of getting $3K, which was for me to get laid off.

This made me realize that the intelligence behind this event was Spirits but because they do not have a physical body. They cannot distinguish between what is right or wrong, good or bad, etc. because they lack the ability to physically feel. Therefore, when I put the request for $3K out there, my Spirits did not use reason. They simply followed how I felt.

Now, some people might not say Spirits and would prefer to say the Universe. Whatever the case, the Universe did not use logical reason or did not understand that I did not want to be laid off. It simply understood that I wanted $3K and saw that the easiest way was for me to get laid off.

So we have to remember that the Spirits/Universe are vast and it is our intentions that help to focus all of this energy to a single point.  (See Why I Said “F*** the Universe” to Manifest What I Want!”)

Lesson TWO:

If the Spirits/Universe saw that the easiest way for me to get $3K was by being laid off. Then, the Spirits/Universe has no limitations, which means They/It could have seen that the easiest way for me to get the money was through various means such as a relative passing and I get the money via inheritance. I could have been in a car accident and got the money that way.  I could have found a lottery ticket. I could have been involved in a failed bank robbery.  I could have been in a lawsuit where I broke my leg and got the money that way. Do you see all of the ways I could have got the money? Notice that to the Spirits/Universe there are no good and bad ways because the Spirits/Universe does not think in this manner since it is not physically restricted.

This made me realize the power of words and how I have to be specific in the future so that there is no ambiguity, whenever I am submitting a request.  For instance, if you want to improve your business. You have to specifically say increase my business sales by having people buy a product. If you want to improve your health you have

Lesson THREE:

Since the Spirits/Universe does not see life as good and bad or good and evil.  An undesirable event is the result of poor planning and submitting of your request.  However, even negative events will work in your favor. Remember, I was laid off, which seemed like at the time a bad thing but I look at it now and see that the reason I was laid off was that I did not state how I wanted the $3K to manifest. This was my poor planning. This put my Spirits/Universe in the position to make a decision for me.  I know now that when it comes to submitting a request to say if I want $3K indicate the source, such as a bonus, the lottery, food sales, etc. because if not the Spirits/Universe will decide. However, know that whatever decision that the Spirits/Universe will make, even if it produces an undesirable effect will still be in my favor.

Please note:  Since I am Kemetic, I like to use Kemetic analogies and metaphors to remind me of how the Spirits/Universe function. Because Osar (Asar, Ausar) is a Lord of Agriculture, I like to think of the things we want to manifest as seeds and/or fruit.  So, the Spirits/Universe will only give you what you want based on its availability or in season like fruit.

For instance, if you were making a fruit salad. You would not request for summer fruits like watermelon and pineapple during the winter months. This is because typically these fruits are available during the summer, so the Spirits/Universe will give you what is available or in season. If it is not in season, then the Spirits/Universe will give you the best equivalent to your requests like canned pineapple or GMO watermelon.  So, if you do not want the alternative, then you have to wait, be patient and have faith knowing that the Spirits/Universe are moving things in your favor.

Kemetic Spirituality and the Illuminati

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

The other day I happened to be clicking through the channels and I saw that Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut was coming on, which made me reflect back on how I really got interested in the occult.

The movie is basically  a psychological erotic mystery drama about a New York doctor, played by Tom Cruise, who stumbles across a clandestine orgiastic group after hearing that his wife fantasized about having an affair.

I am not going to tell you about the whole movie but there were a couple of parts in the movie that stood out. In the film after Cruise’s character takes a taxi (of all rides) to an upstate mansion where the event is taking place. He finds that everyone in attendance is wearing a mask and is robed, except for several women who are masked and walk around naked. When Cruise’s character is exposed, he is forced to unmasked so that all of the masked attendants can see his face.  After doing so, the masked host (who is sporting a red gown) is about to issue a decree for Cruise’s character to be killed judging from the cadence. Until one of the naked masked women pleads for him not to be punished and sacrifices herself for him. After it is decided that the group will accept her sacrifice, they issue a warning to the doctor to forget what he has seen or he will be punished since they all know who he is. Then, he is forced to leave but of course, he can’t unsee what he saw and attempts to harass the people who hosted the event. It isn’t until he identifies the body of a former beauty queen whom he had saved previously from overdosing, that he realizes that this was the lady who sacrificed herself for him.  Then, when the doctor pays one of his wealthy clients a visit who reveals that he was one of the masked attendees. That’s when the doctor realizes how powerful this group was and decides to adhere to their warnings.

Now as you know, a movie is just not a movie. Most movies have a deeper meaning to them and if you ever seen Kubrick’s Clockwork Orange or The Shining, then you know he does not put scenes in a film arbitrarily.  The other interesting thing is that Kubrick died six days after the final cut of Eyes Wide Shut.

While some people want to claim that the movie is about the illuminati and that there are a lot of bizarre scenes in this film for any theorist to use as evidence.  What I saw in this movie was a host of ritualistic practices that were meant to discourage people from exploring the occult.

It made me think of how we are told not to do something because it is evil while others are encouraged to do it. For instance, on the surface Christians condemn people for communicating with their ancestors yet call their mock spiritualist practice receiving the Holy Ghost.  While completely ignoring the fact that Jesus talked to his ancestor Moses and Elijah (Matthew 17:2).

Image result for jesus talks to moses and elijah

Why is this so important yet discouraged and conducted in secret?  It is because there is only One Divine Being or Consciousness which exists in all of us and everything. We all are connected to the Divine and therefore have access to the Supreme Being. When human beings were created, we were all given a soul, which gives us free will to choose and makes decisions. Therefore, we can all choose to improve our life by simply accessing the Divine from within through (drumroll please) our Ancestors. But, if you do not know that you are a Divine Being who is connected to the Divine, then you are forced to accept your fate as a powerless human being.

KC Main Library1.JPG

Kansas City Public Library Courtesy of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Library_(Kansas_City,_Missouri)

To get an idea of what I am talking about, imagine the Divine is a giant public library. We can all go to this library and learn whatever we want. We just need a library card (our ancestors). Well, what I am telling you is that there is a small group that does not want you to have a library card to the Library of Divine Consciousness.  Understand, while theorists may believe that these individuals are all powerful. The truth of the matter is that they are only powerful as you believe they are because this small group cannot deny you from getting your divine access.  They can only trick, discourage and coax you into believing you do not your Divine library card, which is accessible through your ancestors. They can even convince you that they are so powerful that they are invincible but you have access just as much as they do.

Why do they want to discourage you from venerating your Ancestors? Well, think about it. When we are all born, we incarnate into this life to our family, friends, society, etc. that will place upon us all types of erroneous beliefs. Consequently, most of us will have a host of anxieties, inhibitions, fears, etc. that will prevent us doing things that will connect us to our Divine nature. For instance, we will say based upon our conditionings that “I cannot heal myself. I cannot have a successful career. I cannot make money. I cannot have a prosperous relationship” and so on. And, this is only because you subconsciously have learned (or been programmed) that you are a human, which is limited. But, if you switch to your Higher Self you can access the consciousness or spirits of individuals who can show you how to have all of these things and more. This is because contrary to popular belief, when an individual dies it is their body that ceases to exist not their spirit. This means that everything that have learned and know continues to exist. As a spirit they simply do not have a body but by evoking/invoking them you give them a vehicle to work through.  So what does this mean?  It means you do not have to reinvent the wheel.

Yes. If you are having problems with your marriage. You can evoke/invoke an ancestor who had a good marriage and have them teach you how to improve your marriage. You can evoke/invoke an ancestor to teach you anything, which is what was alluded to in the Matrix when Trinity asks the Operator for a helicopter program.

I hear you…what if you want to know something from an individual who was not of your family lineage? Answer. We are all part of the Divine, which means even though someone may not be a direct biological relative. They are a Divine relative, hence the term spirit guides or aakhu.  In fact, anyone who has ever taken an Asian martial arts class or watched Karate Kid knows that it is etiquette.  To bow before entering the dojo, bow towards the teachers’ teacher and lastly bow to the teacher. Why? So that the teacher’s ancestors can assist you in learning that martial art as well. The teacher’s deceased teacher just became your spirit guide.

Does it now make sense why Jesus was communicating with his ancestors? Do you understand now how the Kemetic society was able to progress in such a relatively short time? Does it make sense why you are discouraged from learning how to venerate your ancestors, meditate, conduct ritual work, etc.? Does it make sense why Haiti, the only nation of ex-slaves to successfully revolt and free itself from colonialism is the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere? Does it make sense why African-based religions are demonized and why there is an active campaign occurring throughout the Caribbean and Latin America to Pentecostalize people?  Does it make sense why they make horror moves discouraging you from talking to spirits?  Does it now make sense why you are encouraged to focus so much on racism and other forms of injustice in these recent years?

I hope you see that all of this is a diversion to keep you believing that you are a human and powerless, so that you have to reinvent the wheel.  But, if you remember that you are a Divine Being, then you can change your reality by tapping into the ancestral wisdom that is available to us all.

What Does It Mean to Honor Your Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way?

The Eyes of Ra (Provide a Holistic Perspective)

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

I am writing this post because I have received a few questions in regards to what it really means to honor your ancestors in the Kemetic Shaman way.  So, I will try not to make this too long but before explaining how to Honor Your Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way, what needs to be understood about African American spirituality is that it is uniquely different from Caribbean, Latin American spirituality and African spirituality, because the African American experience was not like any other.

As I have mentioned before when the Africans were brought to the Americas. Most of the Africans taken to Cuba, Haiti and Brazil were fortunate enough to smuggle some of their ancestral artifacts, which allowed them to transplant their religious beliefs into the “New World.”  As a result, when these Africans taken to the Spanish and Portuguese (and eventually French) controlled territories. They were able to syncretize their indigenous religious beliefs with the predominant European faith Roman Catholicism to create Lukumi (also known as Santeria), Vodun, Palo Mayombe, Candomble, Macumba, Umbanda and so on.  Consequently, these Africans were able to continue their religious beliefs and practices relatively undisturbed, which is termed La Regla (Spanish meaning “religious” Rule).

But, the Africans taken to North America did not have the same luck because the Europeans and Euro-Americans in the British controlled New World were Protestants.  This made it virtually impossible for those Africans who had an elaborate pantheon such as the Akan, Yoruba, Fon, etc. to syncretize their religious beliefs with no saints. Also, unlike the Africans taken to the Caribbean and South America countries, whose oppressors tried to justify the enslavement of Africans by forcing them to convert to Catholicism. The Protestants in North America for the longest time refused to Christianize the Africans in North America, out of fear that the concept of spiritual salvation would be confused with physical liberation.  This along with the fact, that many of the people from the Kongo-Angolan region were Christian or at least familiar with the Christian faith prior to the advent of the slave trade. Made it possible for many of the Africans taken to North America to practice their spiritual beliefs undisturbed based upon their ancestral recollection.

Consequently, most of the Africans in North America after relying upon their ancestral memories were able to syncretize their beliefs (as best as possible) with the indigenous populations’ beliefs and the fragmented Protestant Christianity teachings they received, to create a spirituality with no rule called in Spanish Sin la Regla (Without “religious” Rule).

Basically, what this meant was that African American spirituality developed and evolved out of trial and error.  If something did not work it was abandoned, but if it worked was incorporated and passed to succeeding generations.

Now, when Hippolyte Leon Denizard Rivail (Oct. 3, 1804 – March 31, 1869) or  Allan Kardec’s Spiritism began to spread throughout the western world in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Never Forget

Since the Caribbean and South America already had a La Regla (a strong religious foundation along with the Roman Catholic framework) in place. It was relatively simple for Spiritism to be organized and to flourish, which is the reason there are strong Spiritism traditions that can be found in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Brazil, Haiti and so on.  In North America, particularly the United States, the lack of a strong religious rule combined with attacks from the Protestant churches, prevented Spiritism from organizing and flourishing as it had done elsewhere.  However, these obstacles did not totally stop Spiritism from influencing spirituality in the United States.  It did, however, cause (quiet as kept) both the Holiness and the Pentecostal Movement to adopt, pervert and repackage concepts of the Spiritist doctrine as their own.

Consequently, most of us in the United States have been shunned by the horror film industry and the religious community from learning anything about spirits . When we ask questions about spirits, most preachers, evangelists, missionaries, theologians, etc. will try their best to discourage us from inquiring about the subject. Whenever we are in church and we witness someone get filled with the holy ghost or holy spirit. We are taught that it is not the same as possession (which it is) and that it is evidence of God, while other religions and traditions that practice spirit possession are of the devil.

Now. If you are reading this it probably because you are at a crossroad as to what to believe and all I can tell you is this. I was at a similar crossroad once upon a time at my life and a very interesting thought came to me, which was. If everyone in the church was filled with the Spirit of God, why haven’t these peoples’ lives changed? Why haven’t their communities been upgraded or improved, if according to scripture they should be renewed?  The answer that came back to me was that because these people refuse to educate themselves about the nature of spirits. Most do not know that they are possessing low ancestral spirits masquerading as “holy ghosts.” This is what made me learn about Spiritism.

Since our spirituality exists Sin La Regla (Within Any Rule), the man who introduced me to Spiritism was an old Cuban man whom I called Papa.  Papa basically taught me that Espiritisimo has no rules and goes according to how you feel. Following Papa’s advice and after communicating with my ancestors and spirits.  It was revealed to me that the Story of Osar (Asar, Osiris) was an allegory about ten tribal clans who once lived in Kemet who were immortalized. These ten clans were: Osar, Djahuti, Maat, Hru, Hru Aakhuti, Oset, Nebhet, Sokar, Npu and Set.Since our spirituality exists Sin La Regla (Within Any Rule), which means essentially no one has the right to tell us what is right or wrong, truth or untruth.  It is all about what produces the desired results and the man who introduced me to this aspect of Spiritism was an old Cuban man whom I called Papa. These ten clans were: Osar, Djahuti, Maat, Hru, Hru Aakhuti, Oset, Nebhet, Sokar, Npu and Set.

Osar symbolizes our main spirit guide who coordinates all of the other guides. As far as I can tell, this guide is responsible for the synchronicity occurring in our life. Our Osar symbolizes our Higher Consciousness, which is also why he is identified with the Superconscious.
Djahuti symbolizes the spirit guide that gives us messages intuitively via clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, etc.
Maat symbolizes the spirit guide who teaches us and helps us to bring balance and order in our life by learning from karmic experiences.
Hru Aakhuti symbolizes our protective guide who shields us from danger seen and unseen.
Sokar symbolizes our healing spirit guide. This is the spirit guide who taught me the ritual that helped me to walked when I was unable to do so years ago. I will talk about this a little later down below.
Hru symbolizes our justice-seeking spirit guide that fights for what we want, justice and what we believe is right.
Nebhet symbolizes our creative spirit guide
Npu is our gatekeeper guide that opens and closes doors for us.
Oset (Aset/Isis) is our helper guide who will bring other spirits in to assist us with whatever we need help with.

In addition, we also have aakhu or ancestor spirits who are our deceased blood relatives and/or people we may have known or may have known us from past lives, etc.

Again, without going too much into detail, together these nine tribal clans symbolize a unified consciousness within us. Since Set usurped the throne of Osar and created chaos throughout Kemet by destroying the unity among the clans.

Set is the name used to symbolize our lowest (ego) nature, which is why he is personified as our lower consciousness and our subconscious. The aapepu (misguided, confused, chaotic ancestral spirits) symbolize our skeletons in the closes sort of speak.

I have found that building a rapport with our spirit guides is very helpful for numerous reasons, too many to mention.  For instance, as most of you know, my person was diagnosed with lupus and there was a time when I literally could not walk. It was so painful that I could not even stand to go to the restroom.  Enters my Sokar. I do not even know how I got the idea but all I know is that my Sokar came to me in the form of icon Lazarus. The ritual that was shared with me was to buy a Lazaro (Saint Lazarus) statue and promise to take his crutches away if he helped me to walk.  I was also inspired to dance, which is an activity that the Yoruba orisha Babaluaiye (who is syncretized with Saint Lazarus and Sokar) was fond of.  Now, I had done the ritual maybe for a couple of days, I can’t remember now. All I know is that one day, there was a leak in my basement and I found myself running up and down the stairs. I think after the seventh time of running down the stairs, that’s when it dawned on me that I was walking. So, now I continue to honor my Sokar with a Lazaro statue.

So, Honoring the Kemetic Shaman way refers to seeing the Kemetic energies/spirits within and outside of you. Family. Kemet is alive and well because it is within us who have been called to this path. Don’t get caught up in the Hotep Game thinking that you have to have Egyptian artifacts to be on the Kemetic path.  Your  Mind-Spirit does not know the difference between color, ethnicity and creed.  You have to understand that these are energies and because we are a microcosm of a Great Macrocosm, these energies exist outside and within us.  To honor the Kemetic Shaman Way is to work the Spirit from the Kemetic perspective.  For instance,  Maat doesn’t always manifest herself rocking a single feather headdress. I know a lot of people who will tell you that their Maat has come to them as a Native American spirit or even as an indigenous African spirit. You never know, but this is the reason you have to build a rapport with your ancestors and guides.

Hope that helps.

Why I Said, “F*** the Universe!” to Manifest What I Want

Fuck the Universe/God/Spirits

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

One of my favorite actions movies from back in the day is Conan the Barbarian starring Arnold Schwarzenegger because it is packed with all sorts of metaphysical references and Arnold doesn’t speak a lot. (BTW my favorite Schwarzenegger movie is the first Terminator because he only has a few lines.) Anyway, one of the best parts of the Conan film is the Battle of the Mounds, where Conan and his friend Subitai are grossly outnumbered by Thulsa Doom’s henchmen, which are Set followers.  As the henchman surround Conan he says the following prayer to his god Crom:

“Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad, Why we fought or why we died. No, all that matters is that two stood against many. That’s what’s important. Valor pleases you, Crom, so grant me one request – Grant me revenge!  And if you do not listen, then the Hell with you!”

This battle scene and prayer stayed in my mind because when I first started on this path.  I remember reading book after book that talked about the power of the subconscious. I remember meditating and doing all of these rituals to improve my life but, my life continued to get progressively worse because for years as a child. I was taught to put everything in God’s hands. Even though I did not consider myself to be a church going person, my mind subconsciously was still in the church and heavily believed that everything occurs according to God’s will so long as I surrendered to it.

Then one night, I was airlifted to the hospital because I was having trouble breathing. My chest had been hurting and I was having flu symptoms but the Nyquil I had been drinking on the regular just was not cutting it. So when they sent me to the hospital this time to see a specialist, I knew it was more serious than expected.  As I laid on the gurney in the hospital pondering if I were going to live or die, I thought about just giving up and putting my life in God’s hands.

Just the thought sounded cool and would be a great relief but, when the physician returned after doing test and diagnosed my body with having systemic lupus.   I thought how after learning about ancestors and spirits, I still basically believed in putting my trust in God. It was just changed from God to putting my trust in the Spirits.  I noticed that when The Secret and the Law of Attraction became big, I like a lot of people replaced God and/or Spirits with the Universe, but all-in-all. It still boiled down to me putting my faith in God/the Spirits/the Universe or fate and expecting everything is going to work out.

But being diagnosed with lupus and putting my life in God’s hands meant that I would have to settle for whatever happened. This meant that if the physician came back and told me that I only had a few more hours, days, weeks, months or years to live. Then I would have to accept that.

Wondering if I should surrender, like Conan I declared instead ““F*** this s***!”

I was not going to settle for living in a pitiful situation. I was not going to put my life in fate’s hands, so as I said, “F*** the Universe/Spirits!”

F*** the Universe

Ancestors decloaking like predators in Predator 2.

I remember after I said it, that is when my ancestors and spirit guides appeared like the predators did to Danny Glover in Predator 2, as if they were waiting for me to break through the veil.

I have told this story numerous times and the reason I continue to tell it is because for some of us life has to get real gritty for us to say “Enough!”

This is because for many of us raised in the church who have been taught to surrender to God. We have been taught that surrendering means not fighting for what you want and not getting angry. So, a lot of us having these warped ideas about surrendering have superimposed these fluffy bunny ideas onto our spirituality. Consequently, we think that spirituality is all about meditating, praying and chanting OM but, when we people start walking over us or we get passed by. Then, we wonder why are we being treated this way after loving everyone and surrendering to the Higher Power.

It is because sometimes you have to shake your fist at the heavens and even give God the finger. Sometimes you got to do the most vileness thing to make God/the Spirits/the Universe turn Its (Their) head in your direction.

Why? Well, I learned it is because God or the Spirits do not have a physical body, which means they do not feel, smell, hear, taste or physically see.  This is why in most spiritual lore it is said that the netcharu, orishas, simbis, gods and goddesses, angels, etc. are very far removed from this physical plane.  This is very eloquent way of saying that these entities don’t give a damn what happens to you because it is not affecting them in their plane of existence.

F*** the Universe/Gods

Clash of the Titans (1981) Zeus manipulating the life of a human being at will like a mold of clay.

The thing about these elevated spirits is that they do not need to reincarnate back to this physical plane because they exist completely on energy now. Some of these Spirits are so far removed that they do not even remember why we (the living) need food, money or water, which is the reason they are slow on answering prayers. By the way, this is the main reason most people around the world appeal to the Ancestors because they are recently removed and more sympathetic to our needs. Most of the elevated spirits do not even remember the crap that we (the living) have to endure on this physical plane because they are energy. This is a hard pill for a lot of people to swallow but think of it this way. Does electricity care who it shocks or fire care who it burns?   No, because they are energy.

Now, that being said, we must remember that we are human beings and not animals. What’s the difference? The difference between human beings and animals is that the former decides what they want to do, while the other is commanded to live a certain way by nature. For instance, if we were animals like flies, then we would only live from the spring through the fall months, but we are human beings and we wanted to live the entire season, so the universe obliged. The ability to make a decision and the powers of the universe support our decision is proof that we are Gods and Goddesses but some wants us to believe that our free will is curse. They want us to worship these gods and goddesses.  I say let these people continue to be tossed and turned by the sea of life but I had enough of it, which is why I stopped worshipping god and started invoking.

So, when it comes to surrendering to the God/the Spirits/the Universe (whatever you choose to call the higher power), it simply means trusting that whatever higher power knows more than you, and if you do not like how your life has unfolded. It means most likely that who or what you surrendered to doesn’t know what they hell it is doing because you did not give It/God/the Spirits/the Universe any directions or a goal to focus on.

If you’re mad! Good because it means you will not forget this formula.

You are supposed to surrender your know how to God/the Spirits/the Universe. Meaning, you impress what it is that you want but let God/the Spirits/the Universe work out the details on how to get what you want.

For instance, if you do a ritual/spell for money and “trust” that the God/the Spirits/the Universe is going to do right by you. Then, you might get laid off from the job like I did one time after requesting $3K. Yeah, I got the $3K as part of the severance pay because the God/the Spirits/the Universe has a sense of humor, which I did not find funny at the time. So, how do we put some guidelines on that? I should have said help me to get $3K through a particular medium such as lottery, selling old jewelry, self-employment, etc.

Stop assuming the God/the Spirits/the Universe know what you want.
Be clear as to what you want and declare it.
After you have clearly defined your goals, now trust that God/the Spirits/the Universe will work out the details on how to manifest it.

What Does It Mean to Live Kemetically?

abu-simbel-ancient-architecture-2183927 (1)

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

As of March 2012, we have been in the Age of Aquarius, which abruptly began with a down pouring of information being made available all over the world due to the Internet.  As a result, a lot of people are interested in Kemetic spirituality and want to know what does it mean to live Kemetically.  The great thing about this particular time is that there are no limits to the information we can gain access to. For instance, historical records, reports and all sorts of documentation are just a few fingertips away as knowledge is made accessible to everyone.

However, the bad thing about this particular time is that there are no limits to the information we can gain access to. With all of these historical records, reports and all sorts of documentation just being a few fingertips away, there is no wisdom to assist in interpreting the new information.

What a lot of people do not understand is that we have a Ba (Superconscious), Ab (Conscious/Soul) and a sahu (subconscious). And, that most of our problems in life are due to the subconscious or sahu part of our being indiscriminately recording everything that we experience. This means that if you hear something or read something without having any wisdom about the subject, your sahu will automatically accept the information as absolute truth.

For the record, the reason the planet is in peril today is that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have all been interpreted by individuals who had access to the knowledge but no wisdom. Consequently, metaphorical stories and parables are interpreted literally. For instance, from an alchemic, esoteric and metaphysical perspective, God created Adam and Eve in Its image because God being masculine and feminine really loved Their image and wanted to ensure that Man and Woman had all of its power. So, Man was created to be the Light and Woman was created to be the Receptacle of the Light. As above, the masculine energy is the Sun and feminine energy is the Moon. So below, the masculine is fire, positive and light, while the feminine is water, negative and dark. All the while the all-knowing God allows the serpent to exchange the power between the two immortal beings.

It is the lack of wisdom that inspired fundamentalists to let the sahu part of their being to see the serpent as the devil who tempts Eve to seduce Adam, thereby bringing the downfall of humanity. It is this same lack of cognizance that makes these individuals see masculine energy as being strong and good and feminine energy as weak and evil. Thus, justifying the oppression, suppression, and persecution of women, and all religious and spiritual traditions invested in the mysteries of the divine feminine or lunar cults (e.g. earth-based religions, spiritualism practice, etc.).

Family. Some people in our community (Hoteppers) claim to be versed in Kemetic spiritual practices because they have read some books on Kemetic history, metaphysics, etc., and it had a strong positive impact on them. For this reason I am glad that it helped them.  Please understand that adorning yourself from head to toe with Egyptian symbols and having an extensive library full of Kemetic books is not knowledge and does not mean they are versed in Kemetic spirituality. This simply means that you are informed and aware of other authors’ (typically biased western trained archeologists, historians, philosophers, and fanatics) beliefs, ideas and theories. But if you have no wisdom because you are not applying any of the information that you receive to see if it is beneficial or not. Then you are doing the same disservice as religious fundamentalists have and continue to do by simply spouting off information to make yourself appear to be “deep”.  This is just a few steps away from beating people over the head as the fanatics have done with the Bible and Koran.  If you have to argue with another to make them see your point of view, then you are trying to convert them and that is pure evil.  Thus, indicating that you are following in the footsteps of Set and not Osar (Osiris).

Set (Set-an or Satain) is the Kemetic devil. why symbolizes the worst aspects of our ego-self.

Anyone who practices Kemetic spirituality will tell you that you do not convert to Kemetic spirituality based upon the acceptance of certain beliefs and theories. This is because we are not trying to save people’s souls from going to hell. You convert or rather you are initiated into Kemetic spirituality through the transformation of your mind.  In other words, you are “saved” because you learn how to “save” yourself from certain dilemmas through divination, meditation, prayer, magick, ritual work, etc.

The information we receive during this age is supposed to be life-changing. If you have a room full of books but you and your family are not spiritually and physically abundant. Then, you are not taking advantage of this Age appropriately. If you are engrossed in the current affairs, social affairs, and do not see these all as distractions to discourage you from coming into your GOD or GODDESS-NESS. Then you are not living Kemetically.

Please understand that I am not by any means stating that these things are not important. What I am saying is that if you claim to practice Kemetic spirituality then we do these things differently than the norm, like receive counsel through divination on major issues. We discuss matters with our ancestors and spirit guides to determine if someone or something is beneficial to our family or not. We perform magick in every area of our life because we understand that as Children of God that it is our right to do so.

If you are going to live Kemetically. Understand that all books are guides, which are instruments of Npu meaning they are simply meant to get you in the door alchemical, esoteric and metaphysical door. They open the door or present to you another world, but to live Kemetically you got to put down the book and work ‘dem Spirits.

3 Points About “Consciousness (WOKE)” that is missed!

3 points about “consciousness (woke)” that is missed

There’s a lot of talk about being “conscious/woke” but what I have found is that there 3 points about “consciousness (woke).”  That is missed because a lot of people really do not understand what it really means to be conscious.  So here is my two cents based upon my experience of walking this path:

3 points about The guardian spirit Maat who symbolizes alignment or balance with the Universe is the first sign of consciousness
The First Point About Consciousness that is Missed

The first point out of the 3 points about “consciousness (woke)” that is missed is that many do not understand that consciousness means being in alignment with the Universe/Spirits.  Another word for alignment is a balance, which is symbolized in the Kemetic tradition by the guardian spirit Maat who balances the feather of truth on her head.

When you are in alignment with the Universe/Spirits, things flow to you almost effortlessly.

Warning:

This does not mean that there is no room for error or for things to go wrong.  This also does not mean you do not have to do any work to get what you want.  It simply means that you put a request out into the ether and the Universe/Spirits heard it and are fulfilling your request.

The Second Point about Consciousness that is Missed

The second point out of the 3 points about “consciousness (woke)” that is missed is being conscious means being aware that the Universe/Spirits do not function or operate according to human time.  Time is a human concept that was created to help us put things in order, but the Universe/Spirits do not function or operate according to our time.  The Universe/Spirits operate according to universal cycles of nature.  As it is stated in Ecclesiastes 3, “To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens.”

Therefore, being “conscious (woke)” also means understanding that when you put forth a request and it does not manifest yet. It might be because what you are asking for is not in “season.”   I have heard it put another way, that you ordered something off the Universal menu but presently they are out of stock.

This is one of those points that many of us struggle with (myself included) because we are bombarded with ideas and notions in western culture.  That when we want something, we should have anything and everything we want right now!  We need to remind ourselves that there is a time and place for everything., which is one of the reasons I use the Maa Aankh (left).  The interesting thing is that technology makes it more difficult for us to remember that there is a season for everything.

For instance, because of technology, we find summer fruits like cantaloupe and watermelons in the grocery stores during winter months. Or, we may be tempted to consume a lot of winter warming foods like nuts and berries during the summer.

If we remember that everything has its’ season we will see that reason animals like squirrels stock up on nuts and why nuts are in abundance during the winter months is because it is their season.  Winter corresponds to the midnight, cooling and rebirthing nature of the Amun Ra moment.

The same goes for melons being in abundance during the summer months, which are used to help cool the body.  Summer corresponds to the midday, lively (active) and fiery nature of the Ra moment (see What is Kamta?).

So, if you asked for something and it has not manifested yet, remember that it might not be in season or time.  Simply keep your faith and keep your request on your heart.

The Third Point About Consciousness that is Missed

The third point out of the 3 points about “consciousness (woke)” that is missed is a real big one, and it involves trusting your intuition

When you are conscious things (ideas, hunches, etc.)  come to you, so you have to learn to trust your intuition. The biggest obstacle to your prayers being answered and/or your magick manifesting is yourself – in particular, your lower self. This is because this western society that we live has taught us since birth to trust only in what we can assess (measure) with our five physical senses. So, for a lot of us, our intuitive faculty has atrophied because we stopped using it as soon as we enter grade school and was told to stop daydreaming so much. Consequently, many of us will receive an intuitive idea but will not act on it because we want physical proof.

This, unfortunately, is the reason a lot of people who allege to be “woke” are very informed when it comes to history, social issues, politics, current affairs, etc. but lack spiritual insight and direction because they have no spiritual practice. These people are known as great “intellectual masturbators” because they literally “get off” by spouting a bunch of information and humiliating others who have not read and/or cannot debate as well as they can. If these individuals would follow their intuition and listen to the Universe/Spirits, they would know that everyone is not at the same level spiritually, so it is foolish to debate with others based upon information because it is simply a matter of opinion.  In other words, what most of these “hotep” debaters are arguing about is a subjective truth, which is based upon personal experience.   As the saying goes, “all roads lead to heaven,” which means regardless of what path a person takes, they will eventually find Truth.

3 points about Aakhu (Ancestors and Spirit Guides) assist us in being Conscious “Woke” by Helping Us to Understand the Signs

Trusting your intuition means just that “trusting your intuition.”  Some of us have a difficult time trying to distinguish if the voices we hear our own head, our ancestors and spirit guides, etc.  (See: How to Distinguish When Your Guardian Spirits Are Speaking) Again, I know it is a challenge because we have also been influenced by the horror film industry and/or the horrors of “blind faith (aka just put your trust in Jesus and everything will be alright)” in the Church. The good thing is that the Universe/Spirits never give intuitive information without first giving you a sign. This is one of the reasons why the ancestors are so important to truly conscious people.

Our aakhu (ancestors and spirit guides) were once human beings so they know how hard it is to put your faith in something without having a lot of reasons to do so. So, understand your ancestors and spirit guides will give you signs.  (see Honoring the Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way).

You will not know “the science” of why something works because it is based upon esoteric sciences (see The Kamta Primer). For instance, no one really knows what the ancestors and spirit guides do with the food, drink, spirit money and other offerings that are offered to them because they have no physical body, so technically they have no use for these things.

We are told that they consume the essence of these offerings, which is sufficient for them but if you are a rational mind person, part of you still wants to know what the hell does that mean “consume the essence.” This is when you must stop yourself because you are about to go down another intellectual rollercoaster that is going to derail your prayer/magick. For the record, that part of your being that is intentionally and unintentionally sabotaging your efforts is your Set (lower self).

Simply trust your intuition and listen to your aakhu. Know that the Universe/Spirits would not tell you to do something that is going to harm yourself or others. Remember, the Universe/Spirits know you inside and out, so they know what you are ready to accept based upon your beliefs and will never force you to do anything. It is always about free will.

When you keep these three points in mind and begin to exercise your spirituality. This is when you really begin to become conscious and you cease worrying as much.  You know that everything, for the most part, is going to work out for the best but remember. You still have to do your part and fulfill your destiny (see The Kamta Primer) but, you have ancestors and spirit guides who walk with you so that you are not alone (see Honoring the Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way).

Why They Don’t Want You to Honor Your Ancestors

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Did you know that in John 14:6; Hebrews 8:6l 9:15; 12:24 and 1 Timothy 2:5-6 that the bible tells us that there is only one mediator and that it is Jesus.   The bible also states in Luke 16:19-31;  2 Corinthians 5:6; Hebrews 9:27; and Revelations 20:11-15, that when people die they do not inhabit this world but they go to either heaven or hell.

What the bible fails to explain to us how we will know if our deceased loved ones have ascended to heaven or descended to hell.  The bible fails to explain to us why we see our deceased loved ones in our dreams and why some people have even reported that their deceased loved ones have come to them and given them warnings.

What most theologians gloss over and also fail to explain is why in Matthew 17:3, which states that Jesus went up to the mountain to Pray, while there  the disciples saw him speaking to Moses and Elijah who had long been dead (Jesus’ ancestors), when he came down, they saw no one with him, but Jesus reassured them and told them not to tell anyone what they had seen until he had risen from the dead.

It appears that the reason the bible fails to explain these phenomenon and other spiritual occurrences is either because they do not want us to truly be like Jesus who talked to his ancestors (Moses and Elijah) and/or they want us to be totally submissive to their religious dogma. Part of the reason most theologians gloss over this particular scripture is that it makes Jesus a human being with similar concerns as most of us, who talk to his ancestors for guidance and wisdom.

For the record, the Ancestors are not worshipped, they are honored and venerated.  The only reason ancestor honoring or ancestor veneration is called “ancestor worship” is because when the first Europeans encountered the practice among most non-Western cultures.  The Western culture fear of death and view that death is evil, made them assume that the African, Chinese, Japanese, Native American and other cultures that venerate their dead had a fascination with death, and demonized and branded the practice as “ancestor worship”.  Even when other Europeans engaged in ancestor veneration or a similar practice as the Roman Catholics who pray to the dead saints or have relics (skeletal remains) of famous apostles, they completely ignore it possibly because they are Europeans.

What these Europeans missed, if they were not so consumed in their ethnocentric views, is that the cultures that venerate their ancestors have a strong family bond and respect for one’s parents, grandparents, elders, and ancestors.  This is because ancestor veneration is proof that death is not to be feared because it is not the end.  Then again, maybe they wanted to miss this fact to encourage family dissension.

Ancestor veneration next to shamanism is humanity’s oldest spiritual tradition because the first man and woman walked the earth.  They have always wondered what happens after death. All of the burial rites that are performed all over the world in regards to wishing our deceased loved ones peace in the afterlife are the results of venerating the dead.

For instance, in Christianity, it is believed that a soul either goes to heaven or to hell.  Where heaven is imagined by most to be a place of rest and peace, while hell is believed to be a place of torment.  Ancestor veneration provides evidence that is missing from the bible on if our deceased loved ones have either gone to a place of rest or a place of torment.

Idealistically,  when a person dies and ascends to the heavens or a place of rest and peace, their passing is a peaceful event.  But, realistically speaking when most people die they have concerns that they carry over with them. Every deceased mother is concerned if her children are going to be taken care of after they are gone. Every deceased father is concerned if he has provided for his family all that they need when he has passed. Every grandparent is concerned if they have taught their children and grandchildren the wisdom they need to ensure family traditions, and so on.  According to some ancestral traditions rather we realize it or not, the reason we the living mourn our deceased loved ones is that deep within our soul, death has robbed us of an individual who can help guide us in life.

Thankfully through ancestor veneration, we are able to put our ancestors’ concerns for us–their living descendants–and our concerns–their guidance and wisdom– to rest.  By remembering our ancestor likes certain foods, drinks, specific scriptures out of the Bible, etc. Our ancestors are able to impart their guidance and wisdom regarding the difficulties we have in our life to us through inspiration.

Insight from the ancestors on what to expect in the afterlife is how the Kemetic people knew about the Final Judgment

So, as you can see, there is no “worship” involved at all. In fact, ancestor veneration is a very pragmatic practice, which is the reason it is the oldest spiritual practice in the history of the planet that is practiced all over the world.  It is also the reason the Kemetic people were able to develop their elaborate spiritual religion and tradition. Basically, it was insight from the ancestors about what to expect in the afterlife, which made the Kemetic sages develop their spiritual practices to prepare the living.

All of these weird tales about the ancestors being evil is crap that Hollywood created because people love the thrill of being frightened similar to riding a rollercoaster.  And, it is easier to scare people about their ancestors if they are ignorant of this spiritual practice.

Our ancestors are our greatest allies, friends, and helpers, and through honoring and remembering them. They guide us, protect us, move obstacles and teach us so that we can have a better life.  For more information on how to work with your ancestors see Honoring the Ancestors the Kemetic Shaman Way.
