Delfina Perry walked along the strip of stores inside Terminus Air and Space Port. She was window-shopping—killing time before her flight off the planet—when she suddenly had a flash of foresight. She saw that an armed man and woman were going to take her into custody. The pair would have government identification, though she wasn’t sure if the IDs were real or fake. Once they detained her, there was a four in five chance they’d relocate her to an undisclosed location.
That was all Delfina knew. Although she was tempted to look deeper into the future to learn more details, she didn’t dare. Use of her ability left her temporarily nearsighted. The further ahead she foresaw, the worse her eyesight became. At the moment, going blind in this bustling spaceport would leave her far too vulnerable. These two agents must have tracked her ticket purchase, because the most probable future involved her being captured at or near her departure gate.
“It looks like we won’t make our flight after all,” she told Bulu.
Her furry friend squeaked from her perch atop Delfina’s shoulder. The Dunian berlalu had huge magenta eyes, tiny ears, and the flat body of a flying squirrel. Her pelt currently mimicked the ombre effect of Delfina’s brown and blonde hair. At less than a kilogram, Bulu’s weight barely registered, though her soft warmth was comforting.
“I’m sorry, sweetie. I thought your new certification as a service animal meant no more sneaking around, but you’ll need a disguise. We can’t afford to stick out.” Delfina pointed at the nearest shop window. “How about that clutch purse over there?”
Bulu grunted, clearly unimpressed by the simple black pocketbook. A moment later, she shifted the chromatophores beneath her clear fur so that she resembled the blue-and-pink embroidered handbag off to the right.
“You’re such a fashionista.” Delfina reached up so that Bulu could grab her hand with all four paws.
The berlalu’s flat toes almost formed suction cups, and she was used to hanging upside down and using her body like a hammock to sleep. In this position and decked out in designer camouflage, Bulu looked almost exactly like the purse in the window.
“Don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone you’re a knockoff.” Delfina started walking, trying to look casual and blend into the crowd.
Another flash of foresight made her wince. Now that she was not going to show up at her gate, the probable future had her pursuers searching the whole spaceport for her. With their credentials, they could gain access anywhere they wanted, including the security office. She didn’t have much time.
Delfina headed for the nearest exit, with half her attention on the plans of the pair stalking her. She didn’t notice the man who stepped into her path until she collided with his hard body and bounced off. He steadied her with one hand under her elbow.
“Sorry,” she said. “I didn’t see you.”
Now that she did see him, though, she did a double take. High cheekbones, a chiseled jaw, and intense violet eyes made for a sexy package. The man’s hair was dark and thick, and he wore it in a short, no-nonsense style. They locked gazes, and his expression turned unreadable except for a slight parting of his lips. Delfina’s mind went completely blank, which almost never happened.
Then he firmed that intriguing mouth of his, along with his grip on her arm. “Going somewhere, Miss Perry?”
Her breath locked in her throat. Had she miscalculated? Was there a three-person team after her?

An awkward confession ~ Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #SciFiRomance #MMRomance #Romance

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Hello everyone! Thank you to all those who came to visit me last weekend! This weekend, I'm sharing another snippet from GENJ, the second book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS. I'm happy to announce this story has been contracted to Decadent Publishing and will likely release February 25, 2022. I'm looking for blogs to visit, so if you have any space around this day, please let me know. Thank you!
Set-up: Last weekend, Genj was at the spaceport, waiting for Utahn to arrive, and he was worried as to whether his crush would show up. Well, this weekend, we find out that Utahn did show up and get to see them together. Enjoy!

“How was the trip here?” I hoped small talk would help ease some of the awkwardness. I didn’t want the entire weekend to be like this.
“It was good.” He shrugged. “Pretty boring, really. The Olarian beside me slept the whole time, but I couldn’t. I was too anxious, I guess.”
“Were you afraid something would happen on the flight?” Because why else would he be anxious? Though, he’d flown on the spacecraft many times before.
Utahn nudged his shoulder against mine. “No, I was anxious to see you. I like you, and I really want this weekend to go well.”
“I want it to go well, too.” My cheeks warmed along with my groin. He’d finally admitted something my younger brother had told me a while ago. The guy I’d been crushing on for most of my life liked me, too. But did he mean as more than a friend? Or was I getting too far ahead of myself?

At the spaceport, waiting for his shuttle to arrive ~ Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #SciFiRomance #MMRomance #Romance

I'm happy to announce this story has been contracted to Decadent Publishing and will likely release in late February.
Set-up: Last weekend, Vawn gave Utahn a pep talk before leaving for Eurebly to visit Genj for the weekend. Now, we're back in Genj's point of view. He's at the spaceport, waiting for Utahn to arrive. Enjoy!

With a deep breath, I tried to control my nerves. The shuttle had finally landed. I’d been rocking on my heels and twirling my thumbs for the last thirty minutes. No race had ever made me as nervous as I was at this moment. Most of the other racers waiting for the flight from quadrant one sat on the benches while scrolling through their comm units. Likely waiting for those with whom they had well established relationships. Family and long-time friends.
Not me. I couldn’t keep still. Utahn, my childhood, teenage, and adult crush, was coming to Eurebly for the weekend. To see me. It was a dream come true. As long as he actually came. What if he’d changed his mind, decided I wasn’t worth the trip?

He's not the type to confess his feelings. Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #SciFiRomance #MMRomance #Romance

I finished revisions and sent this story in for submission.
Set-up: Last weekend, Utahn was getting ready to leave for Eurebly to visit Genj Then Vawn showed up at his place with his youngest daughter, Gitta. I'm continuing right after. Enjoy!

Vawn covered his daughter’s ears. “I don’t know what will make my brother want to fuck you, and I don’t want to. But I know Genj has seen you at some of your best and worst moments. And none of those times has made him stop crushing on you. He’s completely enamored. Never looks at anyone the way he looks at you.”
“Then why has he never confessed to me?” I plopped down on the floor. “Never kissed me, or made any indication he was even interested? The most action I ever got was him holding my hand, but I initiated that.”
Vawn laughed. “You’ve known him for how long? And yet you haven’t figured out that he’s not the type to confess?”

What can he wear that won't get him friend-zoned? Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #Romance #MMRomance #SciFiRomance

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Hello everyone! Happy New Year! Let's hope 2022 ends on a much better note than the last two. Thank you to all those who came to visit me two weekends ago! This weekend, I'm sharing another snippet from GENJ, the second book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS. I finished revisions and sent this story in for submission.
Set-up: Last time, Utahn agreed to visit Genj over the 'family and friends' weekend if he could arrange for his staff to work at his bakery then. Their conversation ended shortly after that, so this weekend, I'm skipping to the next chapter. In chapter two, you get to see things from Utahn's point of view. Enjoy!

I rocked back and forth in front of my mirror, holding a two-piece outfit in front of my body. Would Genj like it? Would it make me irresistible to him so that if I finally confessed, he wouldn’t friend-zone me right after?
With a groan, I tossed the clothing aside and pulled out another option. Maybe I shouldn’t have left packing until the morning I was to catch a flight to Eurebly. But I’d had many things to do in preparation to leave for the weekend. And many doubts as to whether going to Eurebly was a good idea.
“Utahn?”
“In here,” I called out. I knew my best friend was coming over with a care package for me to take to his older brothers, but hadn’t expected Vawn to arrive yet. I’d expected him to stop by when I was on my way out.
And a little more...
He popped his head into the room, holding his youngest daughter, Gitta, on his hip. “Why aren’t you ready to go? Why is your suitcase still open?”
I tossed another outfit aside and pouted. “I don’t know what to wear. What do you think will make Genj want to tear my clothes off and, you know, do it with me?” I’d changed the color of my hair, but didn’t believe that was enough when it came to Genj. I had to shock him into action.

Will Utahn accept or reject Genj's invite? Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #Romance #MMRomance #SciFiRomance

Hello and welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors post!
Hello everyone! Thank you to all those who came to visit me last weekend! This weekend, I'm sharing another snippet from GENJ, the second book in my Sci-Fi MPreg MM Romance series, KADDIM BROTHERS. I finished revisions and sent this story in for submission.
Set-up: Last weekend, Utahn told Genj that he always manages to make him smile. They're still video chatting with each other, but Genj had yet to ask him to come visit.
This weekend, I'm skipping ahead in their conversation to that moment. Find out how is goes for Genj...

I gulped, wondering if this was the opening I needed to invite him, or if he’d consider it ill-timed. I guess I wouldn’t know unless I asked. “Um, while Gugait is still on Orez, do you think you’d have the chance to visit me? There’s a ‘family and friends’ weekend coming up.”
Utahn raised his eyebrows, his expression otherwise blank. Stars, had I misread our friendship? Had everyone lied when they told me he liked me, too?
“I guess that’s a no. Forget I said anything.” I wished I’d be able to forget, too, but I’d likely replay the moment of rejection over and over in my mind for days.
And a little more...
“No.” He waved a hand in front of himself. “I mean, yes. I’d love to come. You just….” He scratched the side of his head. “Caught me off guard. I didn’t expect to have an opportunity to see you again for a while.”
“That’s a yes?” My heart pounded in my chest, waiting for his confirmation. I’d dreamed of him coming to see me for so long. In the past, I’d only seen him when he’d traveled with my brother to see the whole team race.
He nodded. “I have to make sure Toufan can help Gugait, but if that’s okay, then definitely. I’ll book a hotel room as soon as I know for sure.”

You always manage to make me smile ~ Weekend Writing Warriors from GENJ #SciFiRomance #MMRomance

Set-up: Last weekend, Genj called Utahn and was trying to convince himself it was a good idea to invite his "friend" to the 'family and friends' weekend, when Genj fell off the bed and landed on his butt.
This weekend, I'm continuing immediately after that moment. Enjoy!

“Are you okay? What happened?”
I heard the concern in Utahn’s voice before I was able to steady myself along with the screen. “I’m good. Just slipped.” Instead of trying to get up again, I remained on the floor. I didn’t want to crack the screen on another comm unit.
Utahn giggled, his nose wrinkling in the most adorable way. “How can you be as clumsy as you are and yet race for the team with the best ranking for the last two seasons?”
I shrugged, slightly embarrassed, but this wasn’t something Utahn didn’t already know about me. “I don’t have to move much in my jet. I only have to be able to read the controls and fly.”
With a wide grin, he shook his head. “You always manage to make me smile. And I need that after a long day.”

A face shaped by the gods ~ Read an excerpt from GENJ #KaddimBrothers #SciFiRomance #MMRomance #MPreg #8Sunday

This story is in revisions, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Set-up: Last weekend, Ret told Genj to invite Utahn to the 'family and friends' weekend and just 'ask him out already.' Unfortunately, Genj believes things are a little more complicated than that, as they both have separate lives on different planets.
This weekend, I'm skipping ahead a little bit in the chapter. Genj has just called Utahn on his comm unit. And you'll see that although Genj may be an excellent pilot, he's not as graceful on land. Enjoy!

My screen scrambled before the static cleared to reveal a face shaped by the gods. Round cheeks, full lips, and eyes that seemed to disappear when he smiled. All framed by dark brown locks. Perfection. My heart swelled every time I saw him. “Hi Utahn! How are things?”
A faint blush spread across his cheeks, something that happened at the beginning of every conversation we had. “Hi, um, I’m good. It was a busy day at the bakery, but I’m glad to see you.”
“I’m glad to see you, too.” I sat on the edge of my bed, trying to think of a way to ask him about the ‘family and friends’ weekend. Might as well. It wouldn’t hurt to, I guess. But I slipped off the bed. My ass hit the floor with a thud, and I scrambled to catch the comm unit before it hit the floor.
