Don Logan
Don Logan has released a brand new song. “Melting” is now rotating on the BMS Radio Network. This is a hot new jam that packs a good vocal performance and a gripping guitar sample.Don Logan lives in Canada. He built his own studio and he writes his own lyrics. He has motivated himself to be a musician and live the ‘rock star’ lifestyle since a young age.
Logan’s musical influences include Post Malone, The Weeknd, and Young Thug.
We caught up with Don Logan not too long ago. He was nice enough to answer a few questions for BMS Radio Chicago.
What is your music background?
I’ve been a music fanatic since I was a kid but only recently found the passion and funds to make my own music.
Who are your musical influences?
Post Malone, The Weeknd, Young Thug
What are your long-term career goals?
I’ve dreamed about living the rockstar lifestyle since I was a kid. That’s what
drives me to grind harder and fulfil my dreams. I want to spread joy and give people a good time through my music.
What type of recording process do you use and who produced your music?
Payed for and made my own studio at home, recording process is to get blasted and record. Writing procces is taking drugs, reflecting on my past and writing whatever comes to me
Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
Not yet, still working on pushing an EP out first to work on a live set
Are you looking to remain independent or would you prefer a major label deal?
Open for anything at the moment
Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists?
Make the music you want to make, music is very subjective and you with persistence, you will find ears that will love the music you make with your passion.
Anything else you want to say on the people?
Big things coming, watch for my name.

New Music from Marvin Bloc In The Mix
“Stimulus” by Marvin Bloc is a new cut to the BMS Radio Network. This is a dance track that might just crush it on mixshow radio. EDM Heads from around the world should like this joint. Get up on this track for yourself now.
Check out Stimulus by Marvin Bloc
Marvin Bloc was nice enough to answer a few questions for the BMS Radio Network.
What is your music background?
I started to learn to play classical guitar for a while when I was younger, but I would often skip guitar lessons to play outside with my friends. Looking back it’s easy to regret such moments, but your priorities are different when you are that age. I am not a gifted musician by any means. My process involved using a computer and experementing with creating different sounds using many synthesizers. I honestly respect and envy those musicians that can play and create music organically, but despite the best efforts of my parents I am not a gifted musician. I just enjoyed messing about with synthesizers on my computer.
Who are your musical influences?
My first real musical influence was probably 90’s Hip-Hop/Rap music. The music just grabbed me as being very raw and real. I guess it became a bit of a passion
and I had collected a lot of the music form that era. It wasn’t until my late teens that electronic music really took a hold. Trentemoller was a musician I used to
listen to a lot. He had a very unique style and one that just fitted my taste at the time.
What are your long-term career goals?
I don’t have any. I will take each day as it comes.
What type of recording process do you use and who produced your recording?
There wasn’t any recording. I know to the keen musician this is bordering on sacrilege. To my defense I had very little money, I couldn’t play an instrument competently, but I just wanted to make music. I had a popular DAW and a few soft synths to hand and I just gave it a go. I never had and still have no ideas of
grandeur. If people like my track that makes me happy. I am not going to pretend I am super producer of any kind because I am not.
Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
No. You can never say never but I don’t have any desire to become a DJ. Going to nightclubs is becoming a rare occurrence now anyway, never mind doing it for a living.
Are you looking for to remain independent or to get a major label deal?
I am not pushing for a record deal mainly because I see making music as a past endeavor. My main reason for doing this interview is because I wanted to see how far I could push Stimulus. It remains the best track I have ever produced and without a substantially bigger budget I’m not sure I could make anything better.
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today?
Am I the problem? If I could give myself one saving grace, it has been commented before that my song has soul compared to the over produced electronic singles of today. Most of today’s electronic tracks are in no doubt more pleasant to listen to, but they are so clinical in there sound. I think today’s music in practically all genres could search for a truer more organic sound.
Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists?
Do what makes you happy. Start with a blank canvas and just do what your heart tells you.
Anything else you want to say on the people?
I was just youngish guy trying to make music with nothing more than a computer. Most people will hate this idea. But if for whatever reason Stimulus resonates with you, that makes me happy.

Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
-Yes, I love performing live, especially for a dope crowd.

Rain Water Project Now Available
Jonah Melvon – Rain Water Project
Brand new music by Jonah Melvon hit the scene. Rain Water Project is the title of the new album that is now available for download.
This collection of jams is on point for 2019.
“What’s Good For You” and “Mom and Pops” are the first two cuts to lead the way.
Jonah Melvon is passionate about creating sustainability for artists. His long term career goals included winning a Grammy as an artist or a ghostwriter.
Jonah plans to remain an indie artist until the right distribution deal comes along.
We caught up with Jonah Melvon not too long ago. He took time to kick it with BMS Radio Chicago.
What is your music background?
I grew up in a household of high level music artists, so I denied my own creative gene til I went off to college. Gospel, anything classic Motown, to Hip-Hop and Pop was celebrated in my home. I had no real formal training, but I found my voice attending open mics.
Who are your musical influences?
If you mean from a creative standpoint, I love the classics of Sade, Frankie Beverly and Maze, to the more modern music of Musiq Soulchild, Daniel Ceasar, BlackStar, and Saba.
What are your long-term career goals?
I would love to win a Grammy as an artists or as a ghost writer. I also would love to play on “Tiny Desk.” One of my passions is to influence black culture specifically, to move from a different narrative than what’s being programmed.
I am also passionate about creating sustainability for artists as a whole. I live in the Bay Area where the Tech boom is ever so present, and people are being displaced from their homes frequently. I use my music as a platform to help bring awareness and hopefully influence solutions.
Jonah Melvon
What type of recording process do you use and who produced your recording?
My good friend and super star producer Nabeyin, helped me to produce this record. I am also fortunate to perform with so many great musicians in the Bay Area, of which they also gifted me with their musicianship on this record.
My hat is off to my squad that helped me from this record life. (Adesha Adefela, AlexisRose, Yvette Pylant, Brandon Farmer, Justin Hawkins, Marco Casasola, Neill Castro, Ed Pasalo, Giulio Cetto, Lionel Briones, Bennett Roth, Christian Manzana, Bernard Sapitola, Jake Nochimow, Zach Rubin-Rattet, Paul Henson, Glen Stacey, Ray Arbuckle Dillon Lawter).
Also In regards to my writing style, I have a ton of melodies and choruses sitting in my dropbox, waiting to meet the perfect home. Before I start the flow of recording, I’ll send this accapella either to a producer or musician, or both in the same, to see where we land. I also love swifting through production that I’ve been sent from all these dope producers I meet, to see if I can do the track justice.
Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
Performing live is my thing. I used to play like 3 to 4 nights a week for years. I slowed down to figure out my overall goals, and now I’m getting back into full performance mode, performing at least once a week.
Check out What’s Good for You by Jonah Melvon
Are you looking for to remain independent or to get a major label deal?
If the deal is right I am open to the dialogue. If it’s a promotion deal I would be more interested then a distribution deal, just because the distro part is more simple now, getting records off the shelf is a whole nother beast.
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today?
The images and the audio that are presented specifically to urban areas, continue to slow down our progression. I would def want to change the images and the audio, and I’m working to do my part now to raise that awareness.
Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists?
Envision yourself being where it is you want to be and what you would represent. Write out a plan from that point in time, now go backwards, to see if you are in line with that vision.
Anything else you want to say on the people?
Find your own voice. Find out what’s important to you, rather than just going along with what’s trending.

New music by Ogre Man
Ogre Man
Check out the brand new jam from Ogre Man representing the Dirty South. This Indie Music veteran is no stranger to the microphone. His roots are deep in Dallas, Texas and his skills on the mic are impeccable.
The brand new single is called Royal Treatment and it features SopBox 360.
We caught up with Ogre Man recently and we were lucky enough to get him to take time from his schedule to talk with BMS Radio Chicago. He briefed us on his recording techniques.
What type of recording process do you use? Who produced your recording? I record at Divine Arrangement Productions with Silent The Assassin and we record on Pro Tools 12. My producer for my songs are C.G. for Manipulative Musicc, Seth Blaze for Seth Blaze Beats and *1 for Tormented Beatz Music. I have also worked with Labo the Beat Maker(from France) and DJ Drop The Mic(From Canada)
Do you ever get the chance to perform live? Yes I have performed with my crew the Dallas Zu aka Skoundrel Life in numerous venues in Dallas, Austin and in Oklahoma.
Are you looking for to remain independent or to get a major label deal? I enjoy being an independent artist because I control the way my music is presented but if a major label is interested in signing me and the deal is worth while to both parties then I am game. I know normally major labels like to follow whats hot and seeing that I am not a trap rapper or a pop rapper my style may not mesh well with what they attend.
