I am Lydia Ruanna, an American author of young adult fantasy keen on sharing the non-magical and yet fantastical world of The Goddess Binding with readers everywhere.

I've written stories and ideas down since I was able to hold a pencil, but imposter syndrome led me on a rollercoaster of false starts.

Throughout my life I have followed passion first. First, I followed my passion for nature, earning my bachelor's in wildlife ecology from the University of Maine in 2017.

After graduation, I pursued a post-graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems, developing a passion for maps.

When Covid hit, I picked up a pencil again, spilling out my emotions into my poetry and escaping into worlds through fiction.
