Teaser Tuesday: Remembrance
A brief snippet from Remembrance!
Aldric snapped his eyes open. Daniel was reading a tattered book, his back to the couch as he sat on the floor, and he turned as Aldric sat up. Aldric sat up, drawing up his knees to hide his arousal.
“Feeling better?” Daniel set the book down.
Aldric slowed his breathing. He was no stranger to such dreams, but this one had been unusually vivid. “Yes.” He hoped he hadn’t moaned in his sleep. What had woken him? Daniel gave no sign of having noticed anything amiss.
“I was thinking. We’ve both had a rough day. I kind of want to relax a bit. There’s a place in the middle of town that ferments...well, I don’t know what exactly, but point is they have alcohol. You drink?”
“Not in a while.” He had during the war, though. No soldier turned down drink when they could get it.
“You up for it? Daniel stood, arching his back. “They have food too, and lots of people. Whores, of course, though I know...well, just in case. He sighed and walked into the bedroom. “Get changed if you’re coming,” he called.
Aldric took off his shirt and headed to the bathroom. He was still erect, and he tried to will it away as he examined his wound, taking off his shirt. It had turned pink, but a healthy pink—not the fiery red that indicated infection. He would be fine.
He felt more than fine—his body craved release. His mind recoiled from it now, though. Before he slept he had seen death, had remembered death—it felt wrong to revel in such lust now. Pursuing life in the face of death...it almost made sense, but not enough.
He took a few deep breaths. The unpleasant thoughts took the edge off of his arousal. Aldric waited until his erection softened, his balls aching somewhat, before leaving the bathroom and getting changed.
He had just pulled on his gloves when Daniel emerged. The dark haired man wore a long sleeved shirt and jeans that were tighter than usual, or maybe it was just Aldric’s lingering arousal making him think that. “Ready?”
“Sure.”

Teaser Tuesday: Only Human
Hello all,
To celebrate Only Human making it into the top 100 over the weekend on Amazon, here's a short excerpt from the short story. I hope you enjoy!
If you want to check it out, it's only 99c!
_______
Kevin had expected something utilitarian from a cyborg, but Dimitri’s apartment was well furnished with a plush carpet. It was very plush and very soft, and he knew that because as soon as he got inside Dimitri tripped him and shoved him down onto it, a firm hand on his back. The carpet fibers tickled his nose. “Alright.” There was a growl in Dimitri’s voice. “You want to stop at any point, what’s the word?” “Café au lait.” They had discussed it in the car. Dimitri had probably thought of it in the café. “Good. Now. Up.” A hand clutched the back of his shirt, and Kevin was hoisted to his feet as though he were a kitten being picked up by a mother cat. Kevin was not a small man, and was muscular in his own right, but Dimitri lifted him effortlessly and placed him on his feet. “Time to get naked,” Dimitri said with a feral grin. “Show me what you’ve got.” Kevin nodded. If this was anyone but a cyborg, he would be ashamed of revealing where his legs became the metallic prosthetics. He removed his shirt first, Dimitri giving an appreciative nod as the cold air washed over Kevin’s defined abs. When he took his pants off, Dimitri’s gaze was riveted to his shaft, which was half hard. Dimitri strode forward, kneeling down and running a metallic hand down his thighs and over the metal part of his legs below the knee joint. “What does this feel like?” he asked. “Um…” The sensation was duller than before, when he had his normal legs. Then Dimitri tightened his grip, his fingers sending a strange buzzing through Kevin that made him gasp and pull away. “What was that?!” “Just testing.” Dimitri moved away, standing up once more. “Resonance, really. My hands can vibrate at resonant frequencies of some common metals. Or just vibrate, if I want them to.” He grinned and snapped his fingers, the sound dull. “It’s a common ability in cyborgs trained to mine and work with complex machinery, and it’s also amazingly erotic if you have the right design.” That choice of words again. Kevin swallowed. “You, clearly, don’t.” Dimitri shrugged. “I…I’m not a cyborg,” Kevin said. “That’s right. I am, though.” Dimitri took off his shirt, the muscles in his back and stomach flexing. Kevin felt himself grow harder. Dimitri was stunning. Sure, his arms turned into a metallic sheen, and surgery scars dotted his chest and neck. But his body was perfect, sculpted like a statue. Kevin wanted him, and Dimitri hadn’t even taken his pants off yet.“Do…do they do muscle enhancements?” Kevin asked. Then he jumped when Dimitri’s eyes changed color.“No. I train. All of us do—we have to stay at our best.” He stepped closer, reaching for Kevin with one hand while unbuttoning his fly with the other. His body radiated heat, or maybe it was just Kevin’s excitement. “But the enhancements make it easier, its true.” He stroked Kevin’s body, his finger buzzing over his stomach and down over his balls. Kevin sucked in a breath.“Why are you…ah…” his question left him when Dimitri grabbed his cock, giving it a firm stroke that left it completely erect when he let go. Thank god his metal hands were mostly smooth.“Why am I what?” Dimitri asked, squeezing Kevin’s erection just to the edge of pain. The question died in his throat, Kevin throwing his head back and letting out a whispered gasp. “Look.” Dimitri stepped back. His pants fell to the floor, revealing his enormous half-hard erection and the rest of him. Kevin swallowed. His legs were not like Kevin’s. This was a cyborg—skin that gleamed like metal under the harsh lights of the room from the thighs down, each sweep of a metal thigh and knee down to the ankle sculpted and perfect. “You like what you see?” Dimitri asked. Kevin nodded. His balls drew up, his cock hardening so much it hurt. He had always distrusted men like these, powerful cyborgs who left the safety of Earth and served the government. But they were also so sexy.

New Release!
Book 2 in my series of Erotic Cyborg short stories is out today at Amazon and All Romance Ebooks!
A short story featuring cyborgs...
After an accident, Kevin isn't too happy with his new prosthetic legs. To help him recover, his doctor suggests he meet with a cyborg, a man who is long used to prosthetics and what they can do.
But Dimitri has an interesting way of imparting his lessons. Kevin is only human, and will have to work hard to keep up with a cyborg.
Excerpt:
Kevin remembered when this nightmare began as clear as day. He didn’t remember the accident, but it was the aftermath when he realized just how bad his life was going to become.
“Don’t worry,” the doctor had said. “The prosthetics are even better than your old legs. You’ll be better than new.” He had actually smiled.
Smiled, when he told Kevin that he was basically going to become a cyborg. He was surprised the doctor didn’t ask him to sign his life away to the government that very moment.
***
The bell attached to the door by the cafe rang behind Kevin, and he winced when he stepped wrong. He grabbed the wall for support, his artificial knee buckling. He frowned when he looked at it—the sleek gray metal that formed the knee joint was too obvious.
A woman with frizzy brown hair and a pin on her shirt raised an eyebrow and got up from her chair. “Are you alright, sir?” she asked, heading over to help him.
Kevin grit his teeth, pushing against the wall to get back to his feet. “I’m fine. I’m fine, go back to your meal.” He stood up straighter, pain shooting through his new legs, and he sucked in a breath. The doctor had said that would happen periodically while he got used to them.
“Okay, if you’re sure…” she took a step away, and Kevin noticed the café owner looking at him. He ducked his head, face flaming, and sat down in an uncomfortable wooden chair at a table. Posters on the walls of the café proclaimed about the famous coffee and the scones.
The bell rang again, and Kevin looked up to be greeted by a tall man with dark hair at the door, his eyes a piercing soft gray. He was gorgeous.
Kevin swallowed hard. The man’s hands were metallic, the skin shimmering in a way normal human skin did not. He couldn’t pick out any other obvious modifications, although he did notice how tightly the man’s pants clung to his thighs. He looked muscular, at least. Kevin swallowed.
This must be the cyborg he was here to meet. Kevin shoved down sudden anxiety. He needed to learn how to function with artificial legs, and he needed all the advice he could get. But if this person tried to recruit him into the government’s cadre of half-human lackeys, he was gone, pain or not, clumsiness or not.
“I’m Kevin,” he said with a wave. He motioned to the table. “You must be Dimitri, right?”
Dimitri moved with grace that spoke of enhanced balance as he slid into the seat across from Kevin. He smiled, his teeth a perfect white. The top button of his shirt was undone, and wide shoulders stretched fabric.
Kevin took a breath. Focus. Attractive or not, this man was a cyborg. According to what the doctor had said, he had served for three years on Europa and ten on the government’s space elevator. Kevin had to be careful, or he’d end up more machine than man and working off-planet. He didn’t believe a cyborg would help anyone and give advice just out of the goodness of their heart. He shouldn’t have agreed to meet him.
“Alright,” Dimitri said, leaning forward. “Let’s get to it, I suppose. Doctor Lorio told me you’re having trouble adjusting to your new prosthetics. I have extensive experience with them. If you have any questions, concerns, or need advice, I’m here. Ask away.”

Teaser Tuesday: Air, book one of the WaterLord Trilogy
Here's a quick excerpt from Book one of my fantasy series: Air!
_____________
“Mages!” The captain’s harsh voice oriented Nathan, and she appeared out of the rain, her hair plastered to her scalp. She kicked the sword further away angrily. “I have ordered the soldiers below deck, so you must solve this. What is going on?”
Sam looked fearfully at her. “I—”
A high pitched scream stopped him. Conversation abandoned, they began to run toward the sound. He sensed Sam using magic, a shielding technique.
The woman screamed again, and as he turned his head toward the sound he was suddenly hit with a thick, warm liquid, and the coppery scent of blood filled his nostrils. Something thudded nearby and he froze, suddenly terrified, almost uncaring of the blood that now stained his clothing and dripped off his face. Someone had been attacked beside him, and he hadn’t seen it. Why couldn’t he see anything? He took a step back, preparing to run the other way. His whole body vibrated in fear, the calming mantra forgotten.
“Nathan!” Sam suddenly appeared beside him, and grabbed his shoulder. “Focus, you idiot!” Why could he see Sam clearly through the rain? “Nathan, put up a shield! She needs help!”
The rational idea made its way into Nathan’s panicky brain, and he did so. Calm came over him once the rain no longer struck, and he drew in deep breaths of dryer air to relax. He could see clearly in the radius of the shield. He realized he was covered in blood, and told himself to ignore it, extending his shield to cover more ground.
The shield was incredibly difficult to hold with the rain pounding it, and he only maintained it for a second before pulling it back to cover the bare minimum. He saw a person fallen in that instant, a woman who lay prone, her eyes open in shock and a hand over a gaping injury on her side. Her sword, too, lay beside her, as though she had never even attempted to lift it.
A long distance attack, then. The shield would be useful, if he could defend against both the rain and whatever had occurred. He told himself to be detached. He couldn’t afford to panic again.
“Clarise!” Sam bellowed and ran to the fallen woman’s side, nearly falling on the watery deck. “Clarise, what was it? Talk to me, please!”
The captain narrowed her eyes and moved to help, or perhaps just to get information from the injured woman.
Nathan tried to extend the shield over her and at the same moment some force skittered alongside it, a red line appearing on the captain’s side and doubling her over.
She gasped and lost her footing. Blood dripped on the deck before she leapt back to her feet. His shield had saved her, but she still staggered with the injury. “To the right!”
She gestured with her sword, and Nathan extended his shield to cover the area where she pointed. He thought something brushed it, but it vanished.
That unnerved him. Whatever they fought knew about magic and had dodged out of the range of his shield. It wanted the cover of the rain. He held the shield, looking around, as the captain held her ground. She bled onto the deck, but stood resolutely on her feet. For a moment, everything stood still.
“Damnit, cover more!” She screamed at him, her voice almost breaking with the effort of yelling, or perhaps pain. Nathan complied.
Nathan barely saw the movement as his quickly expanding shield uncovered the man. He was unarmed, and moved impossibly fast to escape the shield, but the captain moved to intercept him even faster.
Her sword slashed at the same moment that a spike of water beneath her feet toppled her. The sword missed and she went down one knee, the blood from both wounds mingling with the water beneath her. She did not move to get up, her chest heaving. In the moment that they stood there, Nathan was so stunned that he dropped the shield.
The man was naked, and had long brown hair that fell down to his waist. He was tall, though not quite as tall as Nathan, with defined muscles that signaled dangerous predatory strength. He had almost no expression, as if attempting to kill a captain was a matter of course for him. One of his eyes was a milky white, the skin around it whitened, attesting to a previous burn. The other blazed blue.

Bernard placed the bottle of pills on the table. As soon as the plastic bottle hit the metal, weight lifted off his shoulders. His last week on station. His first tour of duty since completing his training at 21, in the boring wastelands of Europa for three years, was done. No more libido inhibitors. No more constant vigilance to make sure every machine that mined the precious resources they needed back home was working perfectly. He could go back to Earth, and hopefully get an assignment that actually allowed some relaxation, not to mention make real use of the enhancements he had as a cyborg and the skills he had trained. He would be able to see blue skies out the windows, not the pea-green soup that passed for atmosphere here. Of course, before he could leave he still needed to get through the medical exam. And judging by how David, the only other cyborg who had served on Europa twice, had laughed when he heard Bernard was leaving, it was going to be interesting.“Ah, Bernard.” Dr. Severian Bell stepped through the door, raising a pale blond eyebrow. “Going home, eh?” he said, eyeing the pill bottle with his one good eye. A patch covered the other. Bernard’s face heated immediately. “So, when will I feel it?” Bernard asked. “I mean, you know.” “When will you feel arousal again?” Bernard’s face heated further at the doctor’s careful words. Doctor Severian tended to Bernard and all of the cyborgs who were stationed on Europa. The tall blond man was completely unflappable, and every cyborg suspected he too took the libido inhibitors that aided them in their vigilant watch of the mining operations on the planet. “Um, yes.” Bernard swallowed hard. “Have a night planned?” Severian scribbled something on the notebook he held and then placed it on the table. “I hate to tell you, you will have to remain here.” He lifted the bottle of pills, stowing them in a glass case on the wall next to an assortment of other bottles. “I will have to make sure everything is in working order before you leave.” “I…what?” Bernard squeaked. “Did no one tell you?” Bernard shook his head. “It’s part of the medical exam,” Severian continued, his voice neutral. “We have a room prepared for this sort of thing. Some individuals can have unpleasant reactions when stopping the medication.” He met Bernard’s gaze. “Relax, please. It’s very rare, I assure you. But the other half of it is simply making sure everything works. After all, each of you cyborgs gets different enhancements. Remind me, you…?” Bernard swallowed down a thick combination of embarrassment and anxiety. He held up his hands, both made of cruel metal. “Dexterity work. And increased lung capacity.” “Hm. Nothing out of the ordinary to consider then. It’s the cardiac enhancements that always cause trouble. Of course,” he snapped on a pair of white gloves, “those hands are going to make masturbation difficult.” Bernard choked. Severian grinned, turning toward the door. “Don’t worry. That’s not how we have to do things. Come, and let me show you to the space you’ll be occupying.”
A short story set in the future...
Bernard has served on Europa for the past three years, focusing on his work with the help of libido inhibitors. But when it's time for him to leave his post and head back home for Earth, he has to undergo a physical exam--with the attractive Dr. Severian Bell. And this physical is more in depth than most.
As a cyborg, Bernard isn't used to physical closeness. But Severian will show him how.
