Any novelist will tell you that the life of a writer is usually a very boring one; endless days and months with only a computer and a cast of fictional characters for company. But occasionally there are moments of glamour. Like today, when lovely make up artist Sam Cooper and photographer Helen Cathcart arrived at my house to shoot me for a glossy women’s magazine. So instead of the usual early morning detritus spread across my kitchen table (a trail of Rice Krispies and plastic toys left by my kids, empty mugs of tea and reams of plot and character notes beside my laptop) there was THIS…
LOVELY.
