Painting and strawberry harvest
The photo above are several small paintings I worked on last Friday and today. Here’s a couple of close-up pictures. These are all 3″x3″ acrylic on canvas panel. I have several pieces I want to have photographed and varnished for the show this weekend. I feel time growing short. This morning, I harvested several strawberries … Continue reading Painting and strawberry harvest

My goodness
It was one last bike ride, then off for home. A tree I took a picture of today. They pose so well, don’t you think? The drive home was mostly uneventful. Thank goodness. What I did come home too was a garden nearly overgrown. Spaghetti squash that were just tiny little things were now huge. … Continue reading My goodness

Lotus in Idaho
My son and I went for a bike ride this morning before it got hot. Here we are together. We rode down to the Albertson park. I took pictures of several cool trees while we were there, trees that needed my attention. I also discovered they have lotuses there. I saw some when I went … Continue reading Lotus in Idaho

More than dreaming
I did get to painting today. I did several pieces. This is one of them. I’m not sure if this one is done or not. I like it as it is, but I also want to expand on this. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get to do some more painting and I can work on some variations. … Continue reading More than dreaming

My heroine painter
This last weekend at Shoshone Art in the Park, I had the great opportunity to meet a very neat artist. Meet Simon Tate. She’s 76 years old and paints 4-5 paintings per day. She also has an Etsy store and writes a blog. How cool is that? You can find out more about her and … Continue reading My heroine painter

Dreaming of painting
I was hoping to get outside to paint tonight, but at sunset it was still 93 degrees outside. I did my bookkeeping for the Shoshone show last weekend while hoping it would cool down. Oh well, someday I will be home again. Someday things will even out so I can get back on schedule. The … Continue reading Dreaming of painting

Boise River pictures
My son and I took a walk along the Boise River this evening. The temperature was still high and the river made it a bit muggy. It was still a beautiful walk. I took several pictures along the way, including the one you see above of the river. It is so beautiful over here that … Continue reading Boise River pictures

Strange, but true
I bought two new pairs of shoes today. One was size 7 and the other size 7 1/2. Same brand, but different styles. I figured if the 7’s were too small, the others would fit. Guess what? The 7’s are nearly perfect- my big toe does touch the top of the shoe, but I can’t … Continue reading Strange, but true

Final day – Shoshone Art in the Park 2022
Today was a bit slower off a day, but I got to get out and visit with several other artists. I bought some artwork. Take down went well. It’s usually so hot and wipes me out, but today there was a nice breeze and I stayed cool. I hope to share more in the days … Continue reading Final day – Shoshone Art in the Park 2022

Finish of day 1 for Shoshone Art in the Park 2022
I’ve been trying to relax after the show today. It was hot and the sporadic wind occasionally knocked books off stands, but it was a good day. Yet, the problem with trying to relax is that I still have things that need done. The garden needed watered since I didn’t get that done last night. … Continue reading Finish of day 1 for Shoshone Art in the Park 2022
