Time for Books

When I was a kid I spent countless hours obsessing over books and anime and video games. I had favorite characters, second favorite characters, and everything one expects a fan to be mindful of. That was amazing for me.

Late update - Of plastic and fantasy

Okay, first... sorry about the late blog. I know I generally update on Wednesdays and that is, generally, what I intend to do normally. However, this week my day job's work schedule went something like Sunday, Wednesday-Friday. And Sunday was a closing shift while the other three were either opening or right after opening. First Meeting: Vampirism and Insanity

So I've never really been part of a writing group. I've always actually had a bit of an issue with social situations in general (a bit of awkwardness, a lot of anxiety) and the prospect of going to sit in a room full of strangers who look down their noses at you and ask, "So what have YOU written?" has always intimidated me. Writer's Group

As I've announced, next Wednesday at 7 pm I'll be participating in a creative writer's group starting up at the Barnes & Noble Cafe in Tyler, TX. This is the place I have my day job and I'm very happy to help in all ways I can.

Crescendo

So I 'finished' Crescendo last Thursday. What does that mean? Well... I finished the version that I sent to my wonderful editor and that won't be the end of the work.

I'm still intending to lengthen it. Right now, it's not as long as I want and I feel it could benefit from more chapters. Still, it'll be done soon and hopefully released in November. I'm looking forward to seeing how people react to it.

Shipping and Panic

A thing happened while at lunch with a friend the other day (she'll know who she is). We talked about something I hadn't in a while: fanfiction.

We broached this topic because she's stated she's going to write fanfiction for Factions.
