Wayfaring | Kit Sora’s Storytime
Found a magical staff in my travels and decided to use it, but didn’t know what I was aiming for! While digging through my wigs to figure out which one I’d use, I also decided to throw in the antlers I made for my Druid cosplay from Sci-Fi that I hadn’t properly shot yet, and thus this lil darlin’ was born!
Fun fact! My actual bangs are used for this shot! In between pink there’s generally a silver/white stage post lightening roots that looks pretty majestic, and I couldn’t resist passing up a chance to not show my forehead for a 52

Superstar author Jed MacKay announced as the final Dystopia from the Rock author!
Engen Books is proud and excited to announce the final author to be featured in 2019’s epic story collection: Jed MacKay, and his short story: ‘Jianghu!’
Jed grew up in PEI, and although Jianghu is his first published piece of prose, readers will no doubt be familiar with his writing from the world of comics. In the past year, Jed has become a frequent contributor to Marvel Comics, with work on Daughters of the Dragon, The Edge of Spider-Geddon, Ghost Panther, Infinity Warps, and the acclaimed weekly series Daredevil: The Man Without Fear.

Prize-Winner Corinne Lewandowski announced as a ‘Dystopia from the Rock’ author!
Corinne Lewandowski is an award-winning author and poet from Halifax Nova Scotia, whom we are proud to announce as a contributor to Dystopia from the Rock. She is a recipient of The Joyce Marshall Hsia Memorial Poetry Prize. Her previous work includes poetry and radio dramas.
She brings with her ‘Family Business,’ her first published prose story.

Katie Little revealed as the latest ‘Dystopia from the Rock’ author!
Engen Books is proud to announce the return of Katie Little to the From the Rock series in Dystopia from the Rock!
Katie Little is a writer and artist from St. John’s, Newfoundland. Her first published work was in 2017’s Fantasy from the Rock with her acclaimed short story, ‘Sage and Salt.’ Katie has been a guest reader at various literary events in the area over the past several years; she also sells her artwork at local conventions and festivals as part of the art group Wormwood Tuesday.

Returning Rocker: Sam Bauer announced as returning for ‘Dystopia from the Rock’!
Engen Books is proud to announce the triumphant return of author Sam Bauer to this year’s From the Rock collection, Dystopia from the Rock.
Bauer has been featured in each of the four modern From the Rock volumes. His story ‘The Locket’ appeared in 2016’s Sci-Fi from the Rock, ‘Precious Pieces Unknown’ in 2017’s Fantasy from the Rock, and both ‘Dark Peaks’ and ‘Nuckelavee’ in Chillers from the Rock. Bauer has proven himself to be one of the strongest young authorial voices in Newfoundland short fiction.
Bauer brings with him his short story, ‘In the Rising Flame.’

Introducing Andrew Pike, author in Dystopia from the Rock!
Engen Books is proud to introduce Andrew Pike, one of the new authors to be featured in Dystopia from the Rock!
Pike holds a degree in English from Memorial University of Newfoundland, as well as diplomas in Journalism and Music from College of the North Atlantic. He has been more and more involved in the Newfoundland genre-writing scene in the last few months, including numerous impressive submissions to the Kit Sora Flash Photography Fiction contest.
He plays classical piano and has written for The Telegram.

Award-Winning Short Story Master Jon Haas revealed as included in ‘Dystopia from the Rock!’
Engen Books is proud to announce the inclusion of award-winner short story author Jon Haas in its 2019 Dystopia from the Rock collection!
With over a dozen short stories and two novels under his belt, Haas already has credit as an amazing author. In addition to this he has taken First Place in the Capital Crime Writers Annual Contest (The Audreys) (2012), as well as placed or received Honorable Mention in several other competitions.
One story he received Honorable Mention for in the 2014 Writer’s of the Future awards was the story we grratefully accepted to Dystopia from the Rock, ‘Rudeworld,’ a tale that sees censorship gone awry and taken to extreme.

Returning Rocker: Matthew Daniels revealed as a Dystopia from the Rock author!
Engen Books is proud to announce the triumphant return of author Matthew Daniels to this year’s From the Rock collection, Dystopia from the Rock.
Daniels has been in every From the Rock book thus far. His story ‘Healer’s Hoards’ appeared in 2016’s Sci-Fi from the Rock, ‘Living and Learning’ in 2017’s Fantasy from the Rock, and ‘Grow Gold Together’ in 2018’s Chillers from the Rock. His flash fiction also appeared in Kit Sora: The Artobiography under the title ‘Epilogue?’. Daniels has proven himself to be a renaissance man of genre fiction, capable of rising to the occasion of any challenge thrown his way. As competition over placement in the From the Rock series has improved, so has Daniels steadily grown in his authorial abilities. His newest story is titled ‘Eggshell Revolution.’
