Azteca Restaurant

It has become a tradition of sorts for our church group to meet up at Azteca for dinner at the conclusion of the entire conference.  It is a loud and garish place but the fellowship is always fun…

Christian Heritage Conference 2012

These are just a few random pictures from out time up in Redmond at the Christian Heritage Conference.  There were some excellent messages (although I didn’t hear as many as some since I was singing with the chorale).

More from Pike’s Market

Early Thursday afternoon we spent exploring Pike’s Market.  In general, it was a fun atmosphere to be in (although there were a few dark, smelly, Eastern shops…).  If you have plenty of money it would even be a fun place to shop in… ;-)  A couple of us bought lunch there but besides that the only thing we shelled out for was a bouquet of flowers.

Pike’s Market Flying Fish

This was by far the funnest element of the market…the famous fish throwing.  These guys were fun, involved, friendly, and loud!  And they threw fish around the room…I actually came about 5 inches away from being walloped with a quite large flying fish.  It was awesome!  ;-)

Here’s a short video that shows you a little…but you’d really have to be there to understand the atmosphere.

Tulips at Pike’s Market, Seattle

One of the fun parts of Pike’s Market was simply seeing all of the varieties of flowers (mainly tulips) all together.  The colors were amazingly vibrant.

God gave an absolutely gorgeous sunny day (out of a week of NW rain) for the wedding of Christopher and Rebekah Berkompas.  It was an amazing time and so wonderful to see these two get married!  :)

More later…Greta was the vdLuft photog at the wedding but as she doesn’t have an online presence I get to sort through everything she took!  Above is my favorite of the bunch…  :)
