Hard To Find
Lost video for Hard To Find surfaces. Director Michael Brown discovers lost underwater footage on old hard drive.
This video has been buried away for 6 years and I cant think of a better time than now to share it with the world and add a tiny touch of beauty to what is already lost. In Feb. of 2014 we were half-way through the Trouble Will Find Me touring cycle. After finishing a run of great shows in Australia, we had one day-off before the last show on the run, a west coast performance in...

Seamus Heaney - Postscript
And some time make the time to drive out west
Into County Clare, along the Flaggy Shore,
In September or October, when the wind
And the light are working off each other
So that the ocean on one side is wild
With foam and glitter, and inland among stones
The surface of a slate-grey lake is lit
By the earthed lightning of a flock of swans,
Their feathers roughed and ruffling, white on white,
Their fully grown headstrong-looking heads
Tucked or cresting or busy underwater.
Useless to think youll park and...

Empty New York
No matter where you look, the streets of New York City are almost always filled with hundreds and thousands of people. But, in the 1960s, American photographer Duane Michals found the rare and quiet moments along back alleys, inside offices and shops, and riding in a subway car, where not a single person was in sight. The series, titled Empty New York, was inspired by the work of Eugene Atget, a brilliant photographer who led the way for documentary photography in Paris.

Peter Gizzi - The Growing Edge
There is a spike
in the air
a distant thrum
you call singing
and how many nights
this giganto, torn
tuned, I wonder if
you hear me
I mean I talk
to myself through you
hectoring air
youre out there
tonight and so am I
for as long as
I remember
I talk to the air
what is it
to be tough
what ever
do you mean
how mistaken
can I be, how
did I miss it
as I do entirely
and admit very
well then
I know nothing
of the world
can see it now
can really see
there is a spike
a distant thrum
to the empty
oclock autumn litter
its ominous,...

Toni Hamel
Born (1961) in Italy. Lives and works in Oshawa, a suburb of Toronto, Canada.
Toni Hamel describes her work as an illustrated commentary on human frailties. Rooted in story-telling, her art practice draws from personal experiences and outward observations to create thematic bodies of work that reflect on and interpret the psychological unease characteristic of our age. Virtues and vices, the holy and the profane, the good and the bad all share equal weight in her work and supply an...

Geert van Istendael - Lullaby for the Sleepless

Daniel Jack Lyons background as a social anthropologist is very much at the heart of his practice as a photographer. His work, whether personal or commissioned, focuses largely on marginalized youth, whether occupying spaces on the periphery of society or in the face of conflict. And the collaborative methods he employs grants these subjects a greater sense of autonomy in guiding each projects message, infusing Lyons work with a deeper creative spirit that often illuminates...
