Snark from The Fix
So, today's the big day. I'm releasing The Fix. It's a freebie short of about 9,000 words, and the second in the Whitetail series I began with Whitetail Rock—released July 31 and also a freebie. Together, these two stories equal over 35,000 free words! And looky there at that cover! You should probably download (link [...]

News!
I haven't posted here on my Goodreads blog in forever, you know? But I have news. Quite a bit of news, actually...
First, my very good friend Taylor V. Donovan has a release on Tuesday December 6.
Southern Winterland
is a short story related to the By Degrees series. Unfortunately it's not available for pre-order yet, but I'm pimping it anyway. So buy it, darn it.
Second, Turning Tricks will (very likely, almost certainly) be out from Dreamspinner in May. I'm hoping One Queeer Iota will be out very soon after that, but I can't promise anything since I'm still writing it.
Third, and most exciting, I will have two freebies out soon. One is an epilogue to
, and the next is (wait for it) a prequel to Turning Tricks.
Last, all month on Chicks & Dicks we'll be having promos. It's "Jingle Your Balls" month, and we have a whole series of authors guest blogging, and some contests, as well. Check it out!

News, but No Snark

Oh, yeah…snark
I'm distracted this morning. Not for any good reason, I just am. The plot bunnies (or "flat puppies" as my friend Cherie Noel calls them now) are a swirling, I've got three ten-year-olds to cook breakfast for. I had to get Damon Suede's post up on Chicks & Dicks. Then I suddenly remembered snark… So, [...]

Body Snark
If you've read Whitetail Rock, you know Jurgen's not generally a talkative guy. Out of bed. If you haven't read Whitetail Rock what are you waiting for? Right now, I'm finishing up a short story that's a bit of an epilogue for Jurgen and Nik, working title The Fix. In it we get to see [...]

Mores, My Friend
I had the most amazing online friend. I have a lot of online friends, but there are about three I'm especially close to.
Until Sunday night. Now there are two I'm especially close to.
This is so hard. I don't even know what to say. Mores was a wonderful person, and he was a wonderful beta reader, but I guess that wasn't enough. At some point, he chose to start pushing people away, and then on Sunday night he killed himself.
I can't even begin to say how much I'll miss him. This is so inadequate, and I'm sitting in a coffee shop crying and typing and making a spectacle of myself but I just don't fucking care.
Mores was funny, and intelligent, and we clicked, I thought. Not enough for him to tell me how badly he hurt inside, but it's pretty clear he wasn't telling anyone. He planned this. Taylor Donovan emailed me Sunday night and said Mores had disappeared from her list of GoodReads friends, and when I checked he'd disappeared from GR altogether. When we emailed him, the emails bounced immediately.
The message I got said the email address had "permanent fatal errors".
Doesn't that just say it all?
I loved Mores. I wish that had been enough. Not just my love, but the love of all the online and real life friends I know he had.
I believe he's resting peacefully somewhere.

Winner, News & Review
Hi! The winner of the giveaway this weekend was Paula. She was the first person to correctly identify the visual pun. If you're still wondering what it is, look very, very closely at the moon in my header... http://annetenino.wordpress.com
Congrats, Paula!
In other news, Frat Boy & Toppy has been picked up by Riptide Publishing (http://riptidepublishing.com). Riptide is the newest M/M publisher on the block, and they're doing an amazing job of getting people excited about their upcoming releases. I'm really excited to be working with them. :)
The final piece of news I have to share is the review Lady M gave to 18% Gray on Jessewave, http://www.reviewsbyjessewave.com/201.... Four stars! I was pretty happy with that, not to mention I found the review really helpful as I begin working on the next book in the series again.
