There Are No Words

'I says, "Pig Pen, this here's the Rubber Duck.
"We just ain't a-gonna pay no toll."
So we crashed the gate doing ninety-eight
I says "Let them truckers roll, 10-4."

I smile as my father-in-law's ring tone rings out of my cell.  "Allo?"
"Hey.  Are you home?"
I pull out the coffee pot out.  "Yep.  You coming for coffee?"
"Nope. I'll be there in a minute."
I reach for the tea kettle instead and

A Good Bad Review and a Bad Bad Review?

Yesterday, I logged on to my computer and just like I do every other day, I jumped from one site to another looking to see if anyone had posted any new reviews.  I found a new one for 'Journey' on the Barnes and Nobles' site.  I'm not going to lie; after over fifty reviews combined for both books, most of them five stars, I've sort of come to expect them. I also appreciate every single one of

Stressed

Stressed(story inspired by a facebook status)Mireille Chester
This story was inspired by a Facebook status that told me to copy and paste the fact that I woke up in an asylum… and the six people on my profile's friends list had designated roles.  I threw in a couple of extras to help the story along.  The list of roles went like this. The person who drove me insane: Allie Burke, The

Interview with Allie Burke

Today, I am honored and excited to have my very first author interview on my blog.  Everyone, I'd like for you to meet Allie Burke, one of my dearest friends.  She's an angel, literally.  She's also a writer, which is why she is here today.  Yay!  I love talking books, obviously, so let's get to it.  Hello Allie!Allie:  Mireille, my girl! You are terribly sweet. Thanks so much for having me.Me:

Winner of Part 2

Alright, so first things first! Thank you so much to everybody who gave their input on what color the cover of 'Destiny' should be. We had a tie between green and yellow/gold. After doing up a bunch of mock covers, I was a bit scared that the leaves in the design might get lost or wouldn't pop out as much as I wanted... so yellow/gold is the winner! It looks fantastic! And out of everyone who

Reviewers Needed for 'Destiny'

This post is going to be short and sweet... well, sweet if I can keep from swearing while I write it.  I suck at surfing the net and today is one of those impossible days where I can't find anything I'm looking for.  What I'm looking for is simple.  I'm looking for book reviewers/ book bloggers who will accept fantay novels that are not YA. At least I thought it was simple, but apparently, there

My New Family (Thanks to Twitter?)

Many of you are aware that I fell into the author roll quite by accident.  I'd done zero research and had no idea what I was getting myself into.  I wrote a book because I like to write and it snowballed from there.  For six months after 'Crossover' was released I bumbled around trying to find sites on the net to talk about my book.  I wasn't very successful.

At that time, I followed one blog.

Review of 'Exiled' by M.R. Merrick

Blurb
Chase Williams is a demon hunter in the Circle, or at least he was supposed to be. Failing to develop any elemental magic on his fifteenth birthday left him exiled in a world full of half-demons, and no hunters to protect him.
When Chase discovers the Circle's plan to unlock a portal and unleash pure-blood demons into the world, he vows to stop them. Knowing he can't do it alone however,

Countdown to 'Destiny' is on!

December 1st! Oh my god, that seems so far away! Though really, I know it isn't. In two weeks' time I'll be sending the final, edited files of 'Destiny' to my publisher, Baico Publishing, and the process will have begun.  Or, will be continuing, I guess.

I'm having mixed feelings about this. The fact that my baby will be going into print is both exciting and devistating. That the first two books

Damn You Thundercats!

"Never! I have no cause! I believe in nothing!" Bahahahaha!
"Justice! Truth! Honor! Loyalty!Thundercats, Ho!" Lmfao!

Holy good god, help me now! At this very moment, I should be writing. The kids are in bed and it's prime time for me to shut everything off, start my writing playlist, and get lost in Quelondain.... at least that's what happens why I'm home alone with the kids. :D Tonight, Kyle
