In this new video from BBC America, Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman reveal what they would take with them when they leave the TARDIS for good.
Of course, Jenna isn’t leaving yet as far as we’re aware, so her intentions might change over time. However, Matt Smith’s choice of pilfering should come as no surprise to anybody…
The Time of the Doctor hits screens on Christmas Day at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC HD, 8/9c on BBC America.

James rant warning: lovers of Gallifrey should be aware that in this week James McLean has a bee in his bonnet about fans who want to see Gallifrey fully restored. Be warned…

Brian Terranova Stars In Doctor Who Legacy Fan Film Parts 1-3
James Lomond is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
If you’re life is lacking a bit of live-action fan fic, look no further than this nippy morsel starring our very own Brian “Cheekbones-Ahoy” Terranova!
The first three installments of Legacy are up on YouTube for your viewing pleasure and do what RTD probably would have done had he had longer at the helm, bringing the worlds of Torchwood and Doctor Who together for more than just a cameo…
They may not have NICAM, and they may not have a dedicated pyrotechnic team but these guys do have a whole lot of love for the show and have put a lot of effort into this project. It’s a not-for-profit homage to two shows they adore and involves a troupe of Americans doing what they do way better than anyone else: taking cosplay to the next level.
Terranova’s chiselled chops are really working the Geek-Chic and Eric “The Smoke” Moran (actually his online name – I’m not just playing fast and loose with language this time) looks particularly at home in moody shades.
Check them out below and keep an eye out for further installments and The Smoke’s other vids.

The TARDIS on Teesside Trailer
Christian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
If you listen to the Kasterborous podKast (with a “K) you may know that editor Christian Cawley (um, me) was recently interviewed for a BBC local radio documentary, The TARDIS on Teesside.
Well, thanks to host Bob Fischer (writer of Wiffle Lever to Full!: Daleks, Death Stars and Dreamy-eyed Nostalgia at the Strangest Sci-fi Conventions and popular BBC Tees radio presenter) we can tell you that the show – trailed above – will be broadcast at 12 noon on Boxing Day, December 26th (repeated on New Year’s Eve at 3pm).
Not in Teesside? You’ll be able to utilise the BBC website to listen to The TARDIS on Teesside with little interruption to your normal activities (other than a two-hour collection of wonderful stories and recollections from Doctor Who fans based around the River Tees.
Alongside Christian, those appearing in the show include Martin Shipley and Brian Burr of Stockton-on-Tees’ popular Who-ray! store, not to mention actor Mark Benton – Doctor hunter Clive in 2005′s Rose - also of this parish. Meanwhile in the trailer you can hear (among others) Neil Perryman and Sue Perryman, the latter the star of the former’s Wife in Space blog and book.
It would also seem that this piece of deliciously bonkers nostalgia will appear in one form or another…
Don’t miss it!

Christian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
Les than a week away from Christmas and the BBC has released a pair of new photos from The Time of the Doctor, revealing, we’re surprised to say, a bit too much – well, in a sense, anyway.
There is no way to accurately gauge just where these images – featuring Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman as the Doctor and Clara – come in the scheme of things: we’ll just have to hope that – well, I think you’ll see what I mean.
You can, of course, avoid viewing these photo, by not clicking the spoiler box below…
The Doctor in the TARDIS

Make a TARDIS Snow Globe!
Rebecca Crockett is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
Ever wanted to have the TARDIS land in your house?
(Do you know any Whovian who wouldn’t want that?)
Well here’s how to have your own Christmas ready TARDIS in your own home!
Make a Who themed diorama or snow globe!
All you need is an empty jar, a small TARDIS figure, some miniature fake trees, some glitter, and other basic supplies and in no time at all you’ll have your very own geeky Christmas decoration. (This idea would also work well with any other geek theme – something from Star Wars, Trek, or anything else you can think of. )
To get the full instructions, check out the post from C|Net!
I can’t wait to try this! I’ve seen some other really wonderful and unique diorama/snow globes this season but this one is the best so far!
(Thanks to Joe)

Fourth Dimension 50th Anniversary Special Edition
Danny_Weasel is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
There is no denying that this has been a most excellent year for Doctor Who and for its fans with a quite staggering range of events and merchandise on offer and the pinnacle of these, so far, has been the 50th anniversary.
A little late to the party, but no less impressive is the updated 50th anniversary edition of The Fourth Dimension, a collection of short stories and reviews from Steven Miscandlon, a fan who back in the wilderness years of the 1990′s wrote extensively for various fanzines. The Fourth Dimension is a compilation of many of these works and gives a wonderful time capsule of the scene at that time. The collection was first released earlier this year but is now expanded with a new Eighth Doctor story written especially for this edition and a snazzy hard backed binding, and the best part… it’s all for charity!
“Since it first went on sale in May, Fourth Dimension has seen some success – peaking at number three in Lulu’s sci-fi bestsellers chart – and raised money for Unite Against Cancer…As the 50th anniversary month approached, I wanted to mark the occasion by producing a special hardback edition of the book.”
The Fourth Dimension 50th Anniversary Special Edition is available in hardback from Lulu, and in various ebook formats directly from the author. All profits from sales of the book will be donated to UK charity Unite Against Cancer, which was set up in 2012 to fund research into new cancer treatments.
The ebook costs just £3.00, whilst the hardback copy is £12.99.

Coleman Promises “A Different Show Next Year”
Alex Skerratt is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
With the timelines converging on the planet Trenzalore, peoples of the Whoniverse have begun to look ahead to the Doctor’s regeneration into newcomer Peter Capaldi.
Jenna Coleman, who plays the Doctor’s companion Clara, believes the Twelfth Doctor will take the show in a brand new direction.
“He’s going to be so different to Matt… It will be a different show next year. We have a bit of a gap before we start filming the new series, so I have time to get my head around it all. Me and Peter will get together before Christmas to start rehearsing and the scripts will start coming in.”
Coleman also revealed she was somewhat surprised that Peter Capaldi’s name hadn’t been touted sooner, adding:
“It’s funny as I don’t think he was one of the names that was originally being speculated about. It wasn’t until the week before [the announcement] that his name came up.”
Soon, Peter Capaldi will have one of the most recognised faces on British television! See his official debut as the Twelfth Doctor on BBC 1, 7.30pm Christmas Day.

So you’ve finally taken the plunge and sunk your teeth into the brand new puzzle RPG, Doctor Who: Legacy, and now you’re addicted.
However, like any good free-to-play game, the game gets harder as you go. After all, if it didn’t, you’d not be so inclined to keep after it or tempted to splurge a bit on the in-app purchases. If you have found yourself stuck in a hard spot and maybe you’d rather advance yourself in the game by a more organic (cheap) method, I have fantastic news for you!
Adipose TV has provided us gaming Whovians a tutorial for advanced gem moves and methods to advance in the game and take out the Doctor’s foes. This is actually the 3rd installment of their tutorial for the game, the first two focusing on the game’s basics. The video has incredibly useful tips and tricks which will certainly come in handy as you get into the latter parts of the game.
Also be looking out for the fourth installment, which is a continuation of the Advanced Gems guide. Doctor Who: Legacy has made a remarkable impact since release and is currently is available on iOS and Android devices, with more platforms to come. We spoke to developers Tiny Rebel Games in a recent podKast, and we’ll be running a feature on it in the forthcoming Kasterborous Magazine #2…
Check out the video and let us know if it helped you “twirl and swirl to victory!”
