Query materialized view refresh timestamp

Unlike my lengthy posts, this is really a quick one. Alright, so how do you get to know when your materialized view got refreshed? Well, no biggies. There are bunch of dictionary views who capture refresh date but none of them give you timestamp. For fast refresh, you can work with SCN or timestamp based MView … Continue reading →

Oracle Database 12c enables enhanced security for extproc by authenticating it against a user-supplied credential. Packt Publishing announces "Advanced Oracle PL/SQL Developer's Guide"

My fondness for database development is flaring up again. Gladly I would like to share the announcement of my upcoming book "Advanced Oracle PL/SQL Developer's Guide - Second Edition" by Packt Publishing. The area of the focus is same i.e. Oracle PL/SQL but this version is largely revamped to whisk with Oracle Database 12c features and applications. While the first edition will always remain close to my heart, the second edition is a sheer investment of my experience attained so far.

Here is the book announcement on Packt's website - Advanced Oracle PL/SQL Developer's Guide - Second Edition

The book is expected to be published in September, 2015. Well, I can't deny that I'm having a tough time with the timelines due to active commitments, but I'm confident of giving a final jolt for two more months to ensure timely availability of the product. My obligations for continued trust and support to my works; it motivates a lot. Feel free to contact me through email/blog for comments and feedback.
