Adam & the Higher Self

The Ego and the Id is a prominent paper that was written in 1923 by Dr. Sigmund Freud as an analytical study of the human psyche. It is of fundamental importance in the development of psycho-analytic theory. In his paper, Freud wrote about what he called the ego, the id, and the super-ego.[i]

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from Heaven. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I Corinthians 15:44-47 and John 4:16-17

From a spiritual perspective, it is your ego that was created as a survival mechanism when you descended in consciousness during the Fall of Man. But your super-ego, your Spirit, is still merged with God. So, as you awaken to this understanding, it is your Spirit who is carrying out God’s Divine plan for you.

Often referred to as your ‘higher self’, your Spirit carries with it the spiritual gifts of clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, claircognizance and intuition. Stored in a quantum state in your DNA, it is the multi-dmensional part of you that never left the Garden. And your sub-conscious mind is the gateway to it.

The man who enters by the Gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the Gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. John 10:2-3

As an information processor, the conscious mind can only process forty bits of information per second. But the sub-conscious mind is one million times more powerful. It is the sub-conscious mind that stores the past, but lives in the present. It is this mind that continuously replays in the present the events that have taken place in the past.

The ego is the one who rants, blames, defends, judges, justifies, whines, doesn’t forgive, never forgets, expects the worst and trusts no one. Dr. Sonia Choquette

The higher self has an entry point into your human energy field.  This point is about an arm’s distance above your head.  You can engage your higher self by ‘sending’ the feeling of gratitude, from your heart to that entry point.

But the first step in connecting with your higher self is to quiet the ego – the lower self who lives in your sub-conscious. If we clear from our sub-conscious any energies that we no longer need, we can connect to our higher self and reunite with our Spirit.

In Zen, a duality between Higher Self and Lower Self is not made because – if you believe in the Higher Self, this is a simple trick of the Lower Self. Alan Watts

Venus – Goddess of Love

In Astronomy, an eclipse occurs whenever an astronomical object passes in front of another.  But a planetary eclipse of the Sun can only occur with Mercury and Venus because they are the only planets that can position themselves between Earth and the Sun.

The planet Venus is our sister planet – our feminine other half.  While the frequencies of the Earth are primarily masculine, those of Venus are higher and more feminine.  Moving slightly faster than Earth, she revolves in the opposite direction.

In Greek mythology, Venus is represented as Aphrodite who is one of twelve great gods called the Olympians.  Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of Love, Grace and Beauty. With the exception of the Sun and the Moon, she is the brightest object in the sky.

When Venus is following the Sun, she is known in Latin as Vesperus, the evening star.  But, when she precedes the Sun, she is known as Luciferus, the morning star.  The Latin word Lucifer, which is mentioned only once in the Bible, simply means ‘bringer of the dawn.’

To the ancient Maya and the Aztecs, the god Xolotl was the evening star and his brother Quetzalcoatl was the morning star.  The Maya and the Aztecs prophecy that, one day, the god Quetzalcoatl will return to the Earth from Venus.

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. Revelation 22:16

The Maya are a culture that studied the long cycles of vibration on the Earth.  To do this, they used various calendars, the most famous of which is a 260 day calendar called the Tzolk’in.  There are various theories as to what the Maya were tracking with the Tzolk’in calendar.  It is at the very center of their calendar system.  It’s what connects all of the calendars together.  They operate together like the gears in a wrist watch.

Keith M. Hunter is an independent researcher with degrees in both Psychology and Sociology.  In his book, titled The Lost Age of High Knowledge, he explains the mathematics behind the Tzolk’in calendar and how it was used to track the orbits of Venus, the goddess of Love.[ii]

Transits of Venus occur only once in a human lifetime, for a period of eight years. So they are a rare astronomical phenomena.  The last eight-year cycle came to a completion in the year 1882.  We are now in the midst of another cycle, one that began in the year 2004 and completed midway through the year 2012.

During a cycle of Venus transits, she shares the same orbit with the Earth.  They effectively become one planet.  But what is most interesting is that, in their shared orbit, these two planets together trace out the shape of a pentagram around the Sun – a five-pointed star.

The pentagram has long been misunderstood as a symbol of evil because, if it is placed with its single point downward, it represents the rule of matter over Spirit.  But, in ancient Hermeticism, if it is placed with its single point upward, it is sacred geometry that represents the guidance of matter by Spirit; the unification of Man and God.

Venus Transits 2004-2012

The Maya were tracking Venus transits because, during each eight-year cycle of transits, the rays of the Sun focus her heightened frequencies intensely upon the Earth.  This produces an expansion of human consciousness.

When consciousness expands, it does so according to the Fibonacci sequence of the numbers 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and so on. Each number in this sequence is the sum of the previous two. When the sum is divided by the previous number, the result is 1.61803, or Phi. This ratio describes the proportions of everything from atoms to planets. It correlates to growth and harmonic cycles. It is the formula that all of nature relies on to maintain balance.

The Fibonacci sequence also relates to 137.5 degrees, or the sacred Golden Angle. This can be seen in the tip of plants, around which grow bumps called primordia. The measurement between these primordia is always the Golden Angle.

But the most fascinating display of the Fibonacci sequence can be found in waves and spirals, such as pine cones, pineapples and nautilus shells – even in the DNA molecule. So our brain waves also follow the numbers in this sequence. Delta brain waves average around 3 Hz, Theta brain waves average around 5 Hz, Alpha waves average around 8 Hz, and Beta waves average around 13 Hz. When our brain is sending out Beta waves, we are fully conscious, awake and aware.

The summer of 2012 has provided for two eclipses that involved the Moon.  The first of these eclipses occurred on May 20.  It was called the Ring of Fire because it created an alignment of the Moon with the Earth, the Sun and the stars in the Pleiades – the Seven Sisters.  It is the Pleiades star system that contains the sun around which our own sun revolves.

The second eclipse of the Moon occurred on June 4.  This second eclipse was concurrent with the completion of the cycle of the transits of Venus, which occurred the following day, on June 5.  As Venus passed between the Sun and the Earth, she created a third eclipse. This third eclipse caused a grand alignment of immense power between Venus, the Earth, the Sun and the Moon.

There is a cycle of conjunctions between Venus and the Earth, which is almost exactly 2,000 years in duration.[iii] So, as Venus completed her current eight-year cycle of transits, these two planets finally advanced to a position where they traced out the exact same shape of a pentagram, in the exact same location in the sky as the one they formed together 2,000 years ago, during the time of Jesus – the first arrival of the Christ mind.

This period in history is the time when the frequency of the Earth, itself, is predicted to soon reach an average of 13 Hz, the next number in the Fibonacci sequence.  During an eclipse, something dies while something else is born.  This is the return of the Goddess.

The Earth Game

When we, the angels, created this Universe, we decided to make it a highly sophisticated and very complex Game of Life.

Our Game was designed using a system of grids that create a virtual reality that is filled with increasingly sentient programs.  In order to create a reality of Choice, it was necessary to use the frequency of the color black in the design.

The grids create an environment where we can build worlds that are limited only by our imagination.  Through the Universal Law of Attraction, each player is provided with every-thing he needs in order to go for ‘a ride’ in the Game.

These ‘rides’ are programmed to appear in a Time sequence, which those of us who are currently playing the Game perceive to be linear.  The thoughts, feelings and actions that each player experiences while playing the Game are stored in his DNA spirals, in a set of records called the Akash.

The Time sequences are facilitated by the grids, which act as servers.  There are various programs of Time that are inserted as holographic realities through these grids.  So entire civilizations are inserted as programs into the grid servers.  And all of these programs are running simultaneously.

When you agreed to incarnate in human form, you assigned a portion of your consciousness into the Time-Space continuum and into this Earth reality.  But you left the core of your true essence at your place of origin.  So those people who originate from another star system continue to exist there, while one portion of their essence and consciousness simultaneously appears on Earth in physical form.

Initially, those of us who are playing the game could actually see our electro-magnetic energies as a beam of Light streaming down to us from our true home.  This beam of Light is our Spirit – our God Self.  And it is for this very reason that everything we hold in our being manifests in our world.

We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind.  This mind is the Matrix of Matter.

When energies are dispensed into this virtual universe, they descend down through three orders of Divine Sons.  It is the Divine Sons of the third and lowest order who are closest in consciousness to the evolutionary beings on the Earth.  So it is they who act as its planetary supervisors and assist the evolution of its various species.

But, within this universe, the planet Earth has been blessed with complete Freedom of Choice.  And close proximity to the various species that are evolving on Earth can lead to dangerous abuse of that free will.  Within a material world, such as Earth, God’s energies can be manipulated to allow an entire reality to exist outside of the Divine flow.  This can occur through the direct reconfiguration of the Earth grid.  And the implications of that are tremendous.

The original shape and structure of our Earth grid contained God’s vibration and His intelligent design.  It was conceived and built according to sacred geometry, which is infinite.  It was a hexagonal formation that offered infinite potential for every species to blossom and thrive in all of the wonderment that life has to offer.

But, around 200,000 years ago, the supervisors who were placed in charge of our Game consciously chose to limit the Human race that was evolving on Earth.  And, eventually, they broke the energetic system of ley lines that surrounds the Earth, which reduced the entire grid to a finite structure.  They also instilled concepts and teachings that summon the worship and fear of an unattainable God.

This is why Humans have been unable to receive proper spiritual guidance.  And the current reality of selfishness and greed are but a few of the byproducts of this limitation.  This is not the reality that we, the angels, had intended for ourselves.

After he drove the Man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the Tree of Life.  Genesis 3:24

The beings who instilled the false reality in which humanity now lives no longer have authority to function as supervisors in this universe.  But those who believe in their existence have continued to carry their destructive beliefs throughout the Game.  And the programming of the Game perceives the offensiveness that they put forth as a negative force.  So the Universe continues to provide them with something they can oppose.

This, in turn, creates anger and fear in the other players.  And, whenever they take a defensive position in the Game, the Universe delivers to them something to be defensive about.  So both are in constant opposition; one with the other players and one with his Self.

But each time a tragic event such as this has occurred within a new world, balance and harmony have been restored through God’s direct intervention.  So it was God Himself who intervened 2,000 years ago to halt this escalating momentum of destruction.  And now a new Game is beginning.

And more and more of the angels who are still going for ‘rides’ in the old Game are beginning to become conscious of their true nature.  They are evolving in consciousness.  They are starting to realize that their true nature is angelic – pure, flawless and holy.

Everything else is just ‘a ride’.

LeMuuria, the Lost Eden

It was not in God’s original plan for there to be a fall of Spirit onto this material plane. The Earth was to be a garden park that souls could look down upon and admire. Our souls were to remain in the angelic state, which is the natural order.

But a physical body is able to experience sensation, something pure consciousness cannot do.  In a physical body, we are able to embrace all of the physical, mental and emotional stimuli that can be experienced – everything that Life has to offer.  So, when our souls desired to inhabit bodies in this plane, God blessed this.

Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden. Genesis 2:8

The first great civilization in which we lived began about 800,000 years ago.  It was the land of LeMuuria, the great continent ofMu.

This was a land in which we lived in etheric bodies that were androgynous.  There was no death, no reproduction and no sleep.  Our intuitive state of consciousness was highly developed within a fifth-dimensional frequency.  And all communication occurred on the level of the mind.

Over time, the physical body was raised up from the lower primates into the humanoid form.  It was into that form which we incarnated and lived in our ‘eden’, eventually co-existing with another great continent, that of Atlantis.[i]

The Rasa Lila Dance

As we perceived the Earth moving through Time and Space, different races travelled from other planets in the galaxy to settle here.  They came through the Central Sun.  And the world became populated with celestial beings from these other planets.

But, by 16,000 BC the world was moving through a dark age.  And new magnetic forces on the Earth began to develop so strongly that all levitation ceased.  The magnetic pull was new to us and we didn’t understand it.  So we were vulnerable to it and became confused.[ii]  Atlantis was projecting from the mind, while LeMuuria was projecting from the heart.  So one became excessively masculine; the other excessively feminine.

The LeMuurians realized that our beautiful Motherland was destined to sink into the ocean and that, in the process, most of us would descend in consciousness.  So they built an inner-dimensional city beneath what is now known as Mount Shasta.  They constructed their etheric city under a large dome cavern inside the mountain.  And it was within that city that the LeMuurian culture was preserved.  They call it Telos.

The inner-dimensional, etheric city of Telos is now inhabited by an advanced cycle of LeMuurians.  They are blue-skinned beings who have obtained full consciousness.

The remains of the sunken continent of LeMuuria can be found in and around the Ring of Fire – an area of seismic and volcanic activity surrounding the Pacific Ocean. This includes Mount Shasta, which is now the most powerful sacred site in all of North America.

Mount Shasta is in a very specific harmonic oscillation with the islands of Hawaii and Mount Fuji in the Pacific Ocean, and with the Santorini in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The former holds aspects of LeMuuria; the latter of Atlantis. So this mountain is now playing a special multi-dimensional role in the blending and attuning of these two original continents.

Other remains of the LeMuurian continent can be found in the Hawaiian Islands, Easter Islands and Fiji Islands, as well Australia, New Zealand and along the west coast of the Americas.[iii]  On Easter Island, there exist giant statues of an ancient people who kneel on bended knees as a reminder of this grand continent.

LeMuuria was the Motherland that assisted in the birth of all of the other civilizations on the Earth.

Tree of Life, the Christ Mind

The word yoga is a Sanskrit term that means ‘to join’. In the Hindu philosophy, the goal of the practice of yoga is to unite ourselves with God. There are many forms of yoga. But all forms require that we expand our awareness and walk the path.

According to yoga, there are seven main energy centers, called Chakras, which form a part of the aura that exists between your physical body and your Spirit. Modern science knows very little about this system, which it considers to be the autonomic nervous system.

When your Chakras are functioning properly, they are open and spinning, each at a specific frequency. So a Chakra is opened when its frequency is perfected through yoga. This enables it to metabolize the various energetic needs of the corresponding part of your body. Once all seven of your Chakras are perfected, they form your Tree of Life.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the Tree of Life and may go through the Gates into the City. Revelation 22:14

There is an energy, called kundalini, which originates from the base of the spine. The job of this energy is to break up and then perfect the three lower Chakras.If it then succeeds in rising up to perfect the higher Chakras, it will produce various degrees of spiritual awareness and enlightenment.

If the kundalini energy reaches the level of the fourth Chakra, which feeds the heart, we will start to see God’s holy Light. If it reaches the fifth Chakra, the throat, we find ourselves wanting to think and speak only of God.

The sixth Chakra feeds the pituitary gland. This is where the optic nerve crosses the motor nuclei fibres of the spinal nerves that serve the limbs and trunk of the body. This crossing is the most restricted path through which this holy energy can pass – the path that opens the way for our consciousness to ascend to the pineal gland, which is fed by the seventh Chakra.[i]

Enter through the narrow Gate. Matthew 7:13

The human conditions that will prevent a person from accessing the seventh Chakra are Lust, Greed, Pride and Fear. But, if the kundalini energy reaches it, we experience a vision of God and the sacred geometries with which the Universe was created.

The mystery is this… The seven lampstands are the seven __________. Revelation 1:20

At the end of the current evolution, we can finally experience this revelation, that which Buddhists call nirvana, Hindus call samadhi and Christians call the mystical union. This is the opening of the seventh Chakra – the mind of unity and the mind of the Christ.

There before me was the lamb… and with him 144,000 who had his Name and his father’s Name written on their Foreheads. His Name will be on their Foreheads.

From Apocalypse to Ascension

Holography is a technique, which allows the Light that is scattered from an object to be recorded, and then later reconstructed as a three-dimensional image. The holograms that are seen on credit cards are etched on two-dimensional plastic film. When Light bounces off from them, it recreates the appearance of 3D.

But the real beauty of a hologram is that, if it is cut into many pieces, the entire image can still be seen on any one piece. And, if any piece is then changed, that change is reflected in each and every other piece.

So God created mankind in his own image.  Genesis 1:27

It was through the joys of creativity and the sharing of it that God desired to fragment Himself into smaller flames of Divine Light.

One thousand candles can be lit from a single flame without diminishing that one flame.  So, in an Outbreath of God, seven Spirits stood before Him - seven rays of colored Light.

These Spirits then divided themselves down into smaller and smaller flickers of Light, through the various levels to that of individual souls.  And, with each split, these souls lowered the speed of their vibration until they were perceived as solid matter.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  John 1:9

Every one million years, God then takes in a breath and all the fragmented flickers of Light return home to Him.  We are all children of God.  And, as children of God, we are a part of God.

He chose Us in Him before the creation of the world.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.  Ephesians 1:4 and Romans 8: 17 

God’s purpose in creating us was so that He might have an experience of His self as the Creator of His own experience.  He is in the continual act of creating His self.  So we have been given the greatest gift – we have become self-conscious.  And, just as He is aware of Himself being Himself, so are we aware of ourselves being ourselves.

God is in every flower, every rainbow and every star. Just as He knows His perfection of design through a snowflake and His awesome beauty through a rose, He knows His creative power — through us.  To us, He has given the ability to consciously create experience.

As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God.  John 1:12

There are other intelligent beings who live within our universe.  But their blueprint is not Divine.  We are the only beings who can choose both our own rate of vibration, as well as our own Time frame. We are the only beings who can achieve spiritual mastery, the only beings who have the ability to change matter and the only beings who can eliminate disease within our cells through our own DNA processes.  It is only through us that God knows every aspect of Himself.

Now another Inbreath is about to begin.  We are ascending to a higher level – a higher dimension of consciousness.  And so is the Earth, the Solar System, the Galaxy, the Universe, the Multiverse and the Omniverse.  This is God on all levels.  And we are God.

I said You are Gods; you are all Sons of the Most High.  Psalms 82:6

Historically,  each Inbreath of God has resulted in a change in the Earth’s magnetic field.  But,  long ago, this caused us to descend to a low level of consciousness.  So, in our present state of mind, we have forgotten that this Game of Life is simply an illusion of the mind.

Initially, it wasn’t known in the higher realms if God would override what complete Freedom of Choice has now manifested on Earth.  The question was would He decide to intervene at the end of this game and awaken humanity to its Divinity in order to prepare us for what would otherwise be the inevitable?  And, in so doing, would that be allowing His children the freedom to choose their direction or would that be interfering with their free will?

This was the final decision of God…

Star Tetrahedron, the Star of David

In 1959, a Czechoslo­vakian radio engineer, named Karl Drbal, received a patent for a model pyramid that regenerates a dull steel razor blade to its full sharpness.

His patented method of sharpening a blade involves pointing one angle of the pyra­mid toward true north, and then placing the blade under the pyramid so the edge lies in the direction of the electro-magnetic ley lines of the Earth grid. The magnetic energy of the Earth then sharpens the blade by eliminating the disturbances in the bonds of its structure.[i]

Christopher Dunn is a mechanical engineer who has worked primarily in aerospace with an emphasis on precision and laser application. In 1998, he wrote a best-selling book titled The Giza Power Plant. In his book, he describes how he spent 24 years reverse-engineering the Great Pyramid in Egypt and, in doing so, he discovered that its design is that of a power station.[ii]

In fact, the energetic power of all pyramids is that they create a force field, which amplifies whatever energy lies beneath them. The word pyramid takes its origins from the Greek meaning ‘fire in the center of.’ The Egyptian people accidentally discovered this power long after the Great Pyramid was built, and then harnessed it to mummify their pharaohs.

There are five geometric shapes that have faces, edges and angles that are congruent. Revered by the Greek philosopher, Pythagoras, each of these Platonic Solids produces specific energetic effects. The pyramid is one of these shapes. In geometry, the three-sided pyramid is known as the Tetrahedron.

When two Tetrahedrons are merged together, they form a Star Tetrahedron – the Star of David.  The Star of David is the symbol of Judaism, a set of religious beliefs and practices that originated from the Hebrew Bible. It is interesting to note that, when drawn overtop of one another, each of the 24 letters in the ancient language of Hebrew together form the Star of David.

Spiritually, the Star of David is the Merkaba, which is the Light-body.  In the language of Hebrew, the word Merkaba means ‘the heavenly Throne-Chariot.’

Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.  Ezekiel 1:20

The Tetrahedron is the most fundamental building block of life on Earth. The geometric shape of the water molecule is the Tetrahedron. Currently, it is water that supports life.

The molecule of Silicon is also in the shape of the Tetrahedron.[iii]  And Silicon can also support life.  But what is most interesting is that the Silicon micro-­computer chip is in the geometric shape of the Star Tetrahedron - the Star of David.

The Star Tetrahedron is the electric balance to magnetism. This is how data is stored so efficiently within a computer. It is this geometric shape that provides for memory.[iv]

No one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of Water and the Spirit… You must be born again. John 3:5-7

Thoth, Hermes & the Word

The spiritual life of the Atlantean society was guided by the highest initiates who were conveyors of God’s holy truths. In those days, there lived a high priest who was very close to God.

Before the Great Flood caused the magnetic poles of the Earth to reverse, this priest was led away from Atlantis, to the land of Khemit. Khemit was located in the area that is now known as Egypt. And it is because of the reversal of the magnetic poles that Lower Egypt is geographically located above Upper Egypt.

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. Hebrews 11:5

It was this priest who then helped to set in place a Divine plan to slowly guide mankind back to the levels of Unity consciousness from which it had descended. It was his skill in mathematics that made proper use of the Divine laws upon which the foundation of the Universe rests. It was he who recorded God’s Word in a great Hall of Records.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

The Atlantean priest kept a great library of scrolls. So the people of Egypt came to know him as the inventor of the art of writing – a scribe they called Thoth. Because their religion was largely animistic, they considered certain animals, plants and geographic features to be the homes of Spirits. And, in their hieroglyphs, they depicted the priest with the head of a bird called the Ibis.

But, because of his great knowledge and wisdom, they worshipped him as a deity. So, as part of the Divine plan, it was decided at the soul level that we, the people, would need to evolve spiritually without his guidance or the guidance of the priesthood. As a result, he changed his physical form into that of a Greek so he would not be recognized as Thoth. He called himself Hermes Mercurius Trismegistus.

In Greek mythology, Hermes is one of twelve gods known as the Olympians. He is the messenger of the gods – the only god who is authorized to visit Heaven, Earth and the Underworld. Hermes represents the planet Mercury, a planet that is associated with information and communication. His teachings include those of seven Divine laws of nature, laws that deal with the philosophical, spiritual and material realms of life.

Disguised as Hermes, this priest began to teach the arts and sciences to the Greek philosopher, Pythagoras. All of the fundamental wisdom that is embedded in the teachings of every race of Man can be traced back to the teachings of this high priest. It was he who established the three universal principles of Alchemy, Astrology and Theurgy.

When Pythagoras founded a religious movement called Pythagoreanism, the Greeks became greatly influenced by the Atlantean culture. With the establishment of his Pythagorean Italic School, the Greek culture flourished, becoming much larger than modern day Greece.

The wisdom of the Greeks soon spread into the Jewish culture that had established itself in Israel. But, in 536 BC, the Jews were conquered by the King of Persia, who lived in what is now southern Iran. So it was decided that the priest would incarnate as a Messiah, in an effort to make a more powerful impetus for change in the world.

Around 500 BC, several of the masters of the priesthood incarnated in Israel and formed a community called the order of the Essenes. From within this community, a mortal man named Jeshua ben Joseph was born.

It was this Jewish child who grew into the man we know as Jesus.

Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a High Priest. But God said to him, You are my Son; today I have become your Father. Hebrews 5:5

Me, Myself & I

The 17th century philosopher, René Descartes, is regarded as the founder of modern philosophy.  It was he who gave expression to the famous statement, I think.  Therefore I Am.

But the consciousness that says ‘I Am’ is not the consciousness that thinks.  And, as long as we are unaware of this fact, we continue to mistake the thinker for who we are.

The core of all of our mind activity consists of repetitive and persistent thoughts, emotions and reactive patterns.  This entity is called ‘the ego’.  And the ego is the one who identifies with possessions, opinions, external appearances and long-standing resentments.  These are the things to which the words I, me, my and mine refer.

What a liberation to realize that the voice in my head is not who I am.  Who am I then?  The one who sees that. Eckhart Tolle

Many of us are completely identified with a stream of compulsive thinking, most of which is repetitive and pointless.  But, if we understand the basic mechanics behind the ego mind, we can recognize it as such.

The ego was created as a survival mechanism when you descended in consciousness during the Fall of Man.  But it is the ego that creates the illusion that we are separate from one another and separate from God.  This either makes us feel that we are not as good as, or better than others.

We are born into truth.  But we grow up believing in lies.  We witness so many lies when we are young and innocent, and we use these lies to form our personal Tree of Knowledge.  And one of the biggest lies is the lie of our own imperfection, which is told to us by the ego.  And believing the ego is an addiction.

Awareness is the power that is concealed within the present moment.  Ego, and awareness of the ego, cannot co-exist. Eckhart Tolle

The ego is actually an impostor who is pretending to be you. It is the ego who drives the car while you daydream behind the steering wheel.  It is the ego who causes you to terminate your meditation to take care of “more important” things.

And he said to them all, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny his Self.”  Luke 9:23

The ego is a descended master.  So your greatest protection from the ego is to become fully conscious and aware of it.  You are a character in The Truman Show and everyone who is asleep at the wheel is named “Truman.”
