A New Cat Cafe sweet #romance novel is coming soon! #MFRWauthor

Here's the opening:
Zach frowned at the fluffy white cat sprawled across his laptop keyboard. Working at a cat café came with certain challenges. He could hardly blame the cats. After all, he offered them a warm place to sleep and the opportunity to interfere with a human's work. Nirvana.
He sighed and scratched Snowball in her favorite place, her armpit.

He gazed at the cat, her blue eyes half-closed in ecstasy. At least someone was happy.
The door into the cat room opened, but with his mind on his own problems, Zach had only a vague impression of a woman crossing the room.
She threw herself facedown on the padded bench along the wall and groaned.
Zach glanced over.
Long brown hair spilled over a burgundy sweater. Faded jeans hugged her hips and long legs. He couldn't see her face.
She didn't stir, even when Merlin, the Maine Coon who weighed over 20 pounds, walked across her legs and curled up on her back.
Snowball meowed, reminding Zach to keep up the petting.
He got his hand moving again. He needed to get his brain moving. He should be focusing on his story, not shooting glances at the odd woman. But for the first time in months, he felt curious about something. Who was she? Why was she upset? Because something about her actions, that moan, the way her hand curled into a fist on the bench above her head, suggested more than exhaustion. She was angry and miserable. In under a minute, this stranger was more of a real person than any of the cardboard characters in his novel.
That probably said less about her, and more about how far he had fallen from the award-winning, best-selling novelist he'd been the year before.
The door opened again. This time Zach looked over at once, like a theatergoing waiting to see who would enter the stage next.

#Free sweet #romance novella from the Cat Café #MFRWhooks

In college, Cheyenne and Nash were inseparable. Then she followed her dream, heading to Asia to work on big cat conservation. Nash stayed behind, protecting his secret: a phobia of all cats.
Fifteen years later, Cheyenne comes home. Can Nash convince her to stay and give him another chance?

She’d delayed as long as she could, or at least long enough. Time to go face Nash.
Cheyenne took a few steps before Nash glanced in her direction. She offered a hesitant smile.
He froze and stared. The cat pounced on the feathered bundle and pinned it to the ground. The stick curved into a U-shape between Nash’s hand and the taut string.
The stick snapped out of Nash’s hand and whipped past his face. He jerked back and sat down hard.
Cheyenne gasped and jumped. Her coffee splashed over the edge of her mug, onto her hand. She flinched at the heat. One of the cookies flew off the plate and hit the floor six feet away.
Nash and Cheyenne stared at each other. The room receded, leaving only the two of them, held together in a moment outside of time.

A moment later, they were both laughing.

Excerpt: Chapter 1 Lions and Love at the Cat Café
Cheyenne stopped in front of the Furrever Friends Cat Café and gazed through the windows. A man crouched on the floor, holding a long stick with a string on the end. He waved the stick, and a cat leapt for the bundle of feathers on the other end of the string. The cat had to be adorable – after all, cats were – but she couldn’t look away from the man. His crouched position didn’t hide his long legs and broad shoulders. The curve of his cheek, the angle of his jaw, the dark hair falling over his forehead – they were more familiar than her own face.
But it couldn’t be Nash. Not here. He hated cats, always had, wouldn’t go near them. That had destroyed their relationship all those years ago.
Cheyenne stared, blinked, and stared some more. The sight didn’t change. The clean café windows and bright lights inside left no doubt. He might have filled out a little, gained a touch of grey in his dark hair, but it couldn’t be anyone else.
Her ex-boyfriend was in a cat café. Playing with a cat. It didn’t make sense.

Kittens and Kisses at the Cat Café: a Sweet #Romance #MFRWhooks

Excerpt of Kittens and Kisses at the Cat Café : A Furrever Friends Sweet Romance (read the opening of Chapter 1 here):
Bang, bang, bang!Adam jumped about a foot, and Marley’s song cut off.Heart thudding, he pushed out of the chair and ran to the office door. He swung around the doorframe and started down the hallway. The kitchen door swung open. Marley rushed out.Adam jerked back so he didn’t slam into her.She shrieked and jumped, bouncing off the doorframe.“Sorry, sorry!” Adam held up his hands. “It’s just me.” Darn it, he should have told her he was there. Of course she’d be scared when someone pounded on the door, and he appeared out of nowhere. “Are you hurt?” He lifted a hand to check her arm for bruises but couldn’t close the last few inches to touch her.Marley let out a weak laugh and pressed her palm to her chest. “All right, I’m okay, only startled. Why didn’t you let me know you came in? I would’ve given you coffee, and a cherry scone when they’re ready. I’m trying a new recipe.”He stuck his hands in his pockets and hunched his shoulders. “That’s okay, I don’t need anything.”“Mom would say you could use some fattening up.” She gave him a playful pinch on his lower rib cage.Adam snorted out a laugh. He couldn’t think of anything to say. The moment grew awkward.Marley shook herself. “Right, the door. I almost forgot what startled me the first time. We don’t open for another ten minutes. I don’t understand why whoever it is couldn’t wait. Nobody needs coffee thatbadly.”Marley strode to the front door. She pushed it open, glanced around, and looked down. “Oh.”“What is it?” He couldn’t see past her, but something in her voice made him want to drag her back, get out front, and protect her.She opened the door wider, moving with it so he could see.
He looked down at a cardboard box filled with wriggling fur. “Kittens?”

Adam has loved Marley since he was 13, and she was his best friend’s free-spirited older sister. Back then, he fantasized about rescuing her from bandits or dragons. Now he’s 24, and the five-year age gap isn’t so serious. He wants nothing more than to become a family with Marley and her son. But will she ever see him as a man?
When someone leaves a box of week-old kittens at the café, Adam jumps at the chance to be a hero. But herding kittens might be tougher than fighting dragons, especially when two of them fail to thrive. Can Adam, Marley, and Brian save the kittens and find a future together?

If you enjoy tropes such as best friend’s sibling / sibling’s best friend, friends to lovers, first love, unrequited love, and older women with younger men, check out Kittens and Kisses at the Cat Café. You'll also find rescue cats with plenty of personality and their own ideas about what love is.

Kittens and Kisses at the Cat Café: A Furrever Friends Sweet #RomanceA single mother with a nine-year-old son. A younger man who has loved her forever. A box of orphaned kittens. Can they become a family?

Marley has protected her heart since the father of her child disappeared. Most men aren’t worth the trouble, and who has the time to date anyway? She’s a baker at the new Furrever Friends Cat Café, which is still trying to find its footing. Her nine-year-old son, Brian, loves animals but can’t have any pets as long as they live with Marley’s allergic mother. And now someone’s posted a flyer for a singing contest. She gave up that dream long ago, didn’t she?
Adam has always wanted to fight dragons for Marley. When someone drops a box of week-old kittens at the café, Adam jumps at the chance to be a hero. But caring for five needy kittens might be tougher than fighting any dragon, especially when two of them fail to thrive. Can Adam, Marley, and Brian, save the kittens and become a family?
Excerpt: Marley touched the kitten that had orange and white swirls. “Curled up like this, he looks like a cinnamon bun.”

“Fine, she looks like a cinnamon bun.”
“That’s a good name,” Adam said. “Cinnamon Bun.”
They looked at him. Did they think it was stupid?
“Come on,” he said, “Cinnamon Bun is a cute name for a cat, especially one that turned up at a bakery.” He nudged Brian. “But it’s up to you.”
Brian gently scooped up the kitten in both hands and held it six inches from his face. “Cinnamon Bun.” His brows drew together as he studied the sleepy little face. “She likes it.”
“Excellent,” Marley said. “I’ll be able to remember this one and recognize her from her pattern. One down, four to go. Should we keep the bakery theme? We could call them, let’s see … Brownie, Lemon Bar, Scone, Muffin?”
Brian scrunched up his nose. “Not Muffin.”
Marley propped one hand on her hip. “Oh, you’re okay with Lemon Bar and Scone, but you draw the line at Muffin?”
Brian giggled. “I didn’t say the other names were okay.” He put Cinnamon Bun back in the box and studied the other kittens. “Maybe Brownie for this one.” He picked up the black kitten and gave it the same close scrutiny. “Yes, Brownie.”
Adam touched a kitten that was mostly black but with a white patch on the back, kind of like a saddle. He might have suggested an equestrian name, but the baked goods theme seemed to be working. “This one looks like a chocolate cupcake with white frosting. How about Cupcake?”
Over the next few minutes, they settled on Cupcake, along with Sugar Cookie (Sugar for short) for the white kitten with specks of tan, and Peanut Butter Cookie (Cookie for short) for the one with a light brown pattern.
“Okay.” Marley blew out a breath and pushed the curls off her forehead. “We have Cinnamon Bun, Brownie, Cupcake, Cookie, and Sugar.” She touched each of the kittens in turn. “I might forget and you’ll have to remind me, okay? I might accidentally call them Rocky Road and Banana Nut and Croissant. And of course, Muffin.”

Brian snickered. “It’s only five kittens, Mom.”
