Start reading this #KindleVella serial now! The Four Winds: Regalia of Power - A #YoungAdult #fantasy in an alternate #historical world.

The Four Winds:  A Novel in Four Voices

ByChris EbochCece BarlowChristopher W. ChengLouise Spiegler

Take four authors, on two continents, with over 100 books published between them. Together they have created a Young Adult fantasy novel set in an alternative reality that jars everyday notions of time and space.

Four friends live in a dangerous world. They learn martial arts and magic, skills they take back to their war-torn homes: in a Europe overrun by violent gangs following the fall of Rome; an Australia where racist elites oppress Chinese miners; a Salt City in the Saharan desert, where a power-hungry dictator overthrows the matriarchy; and the American colonies, ruled by the grasping Brython Empire. Bound by friendship, these young people rally to protect The Regalia that control the elements.

Together they become a weapon that can destroy an entire city. In a worldwide game of cat and mouse, each object goes to one of the friends. Their quest becomes a mission to reach Constantinople, where they hope the regalia will be safe. But their challenges have only begun…

To rescue Ryan’s uncle, they’ll face steep cliffs, twisty tunnels, and worse dangers in human form, but trusting each other may be the biggest challenge. And they’re running out of time ….

“Silver Canyon is a light, breezy action/adventure/romance that's perfect for summer reading.”

“A great mystery, love story, and search for a treasure.”

If you love suspense and romance, don’t miss this gripping adventure! TheSouthwest Romantic Suspense series includes Desert Gold, Valley of Gems, and Silver Canyon. Each novel stands alone and is complete, with no cliffhangers. This series mixes action and adventure with light romance in the Southwest. This series was originally published as The Mad Monk’s Treasure, The Dead Man’s Treasure, and The Skeleton Canyon Treasure.

Peek: Chapter One

Camie let herself into the darkened building, reveling in the silence. At 10 PM on a Friday, the engineering department was abandoned, exactly the way she liked it. A few hours of work without distractions and she’d get her invention running.

A faint light shone in the darkened hallway. The glow spilled through the small square of glass in her door, a warning beacon coming from inside hermachine shop. She hesitated. Had she forgotten to turn off the light when she left for dinner? Plausible but unlikely. Slapping the light switch on the way out was habit, and she’d been extra careful since the break-in a few nights earlier.

A few other people had keys to the college machine shop, but the cleaning staff would be long gone, and her student interns spent Friday nights at the bar. Camie returned after hours to work on her own projects because inspiration required solitude. So why was her light on?

She crept forward, as silent as the sleeping building around her. The ten-inch window was cloudy with age and threaded with wire mesh, but it didn’t completely hide the sight within. A large man stood on the far side of the room, hunched over one of her workbenches. She didn’t recognize him. Easily several inches over six feet and a good 220 pounds of mostly muscle, he would stand out in any crowd. Among the young geniuses of a science and engineering college, he was a mountain lion among prairie dogs.

Her eyes narrowed and she gave a low growl. What was he doing here, in her machine shop, messing with her equipment? He had to be connected to the earlier theft. Why would he come back when he already had her invention? He couldn’t know she’d already started rebuilding it. Maybe he wanted to steal her notes and the provisional patent application forms. Without them, she’d have a much harder time proving she’d been the original inventor.

She considered her options, calling campus security or the police being the most obvious. Campus security would be faster, but the police would have guns. Problem was, she’d left her phone inside the machine shop. She’d have to leave to find another phone, and he might escape in the meantime, with her notes, and the new version of her device. She didn’t trust the authorities to track him down once he got out of the building. More likely they’d take a report and do nothing. And she did not want to start over from scratch yet again.

And then the man actually reached out and picked up her baby, her new version of the invention, only partway rebuilt. All thought of options and smart choices vanished.

She barreled through the door.

Valley of Gems: A Southwest Adventure Romance

A Treasure Hunting Romantic Suspense - on sale for only 99 cents until June 30

“I can't say enough how much I LOVED this book! It has mystery, adventure, danger, romance, and above it all family remains a huge theme.”

This quest will change her life.

Rebecca Westin is shocked to learn the grandfather she never knew has left her a bona fide buried treasure – but only if she can decipher a complex series of clues leading to it. The hunt would be challenging enough without interference from her half-siblings, who are determined to find the treasure first and keep it for themselves.

Good thing Rebecca has recruited some help, in the form of a green-eyed charmer determined to show her that a desert adventure can be sexy and fun. But there’s a treacherous wildcard in the mix, a man willing to do anything to get that treasure – and revenge. In a frantic race across New Mexico, Rebecca will have to ignore caution in a defiant bid for victory. If she fails, she could lose everything.

“Fast-paced and a perfect read for the weekend. I highly recommend this one.”

Action and romance combine in this lively Southwestern adventure, complete with riddles the reader is invited to solve to identify historical and cultural sites around New Mexico.

A Cat Café #SweetRomance on sale - 99 cents! Can a box of week-old kittens make them a family? #ContemporaryRomance #Romance

Kittens and Kisses at the Cat Café: A Furrever Friends Sweet Romance

On sale - 99 cents to June 10.

“I absolutely love this heartfelt series.”

He’s loved her forever. She still sees him as the neighbor kid. Can five desperate kittens bring them together?

Marley is a baker at the new Furrever Friends Cat Café, which is still trying to find its footing. Her nine-year-old son, Brian, desperately wants a kitten, but they can’t have pets where they live. Who has the time to date? Just as well that she’s protected her heart since the father of her child disappeared.

Adam has loved Marley since he was 13, and she was his best friend’s free-spirited older sister. Back then, he fantasized about rescuing her from bandits or dragons. Now he’s 24, and the five-year age gap isn’t so serious. He wants nothing more than to become a family with Marley and her son. But will she ever see him as a man?

When someone leaves a box of week-old kittens at the café, Adam jumps at the chance to be a hero. But herding kittens might be tougher than fighting dragons, especially when two of them fail to thrive. Can Adam, Marley, and Brian save the kittens and find a future together?

"It's fabulous watching the bond developed between Adam and Marley. 5 stars for sure!

Visit the Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series page on Amazon US or Amazon UK. (For other countries click here. Sale is US/UK only.)

“The second in this series is just as sweet as the first, and the characters, which we met in the first book, are even more rounded out and real. If Marley ever grows tired of Adam, I want him! The characters in this book are kind and earnest, which is so refreshing.”

Peek:

Marley shook herself. “Right, the door. I almost forgot what startled me the first time. We don’t open for another ten minutes. I don’t understand why whoever it is couldn’t wait. Nobody needs coffee that badly.”

Marley strode to the front door. She pushed it open, glanced around, and looked down. “Oh.”

“What is it?” He couldn’t see past her, but something in her voice made him want to drag her back, get out front, and protect her.

She opened the door wider, moving with it so he could see.

He looked down at a cardboard box filled with wriggling fur. “Kittens?”

Marley crouched, propping the door open with her hip. “Five of them. oh, they’re adorable.”

Adam went down on one knee beside her. One kitten was black, another black and white. One was white with specks of tan. The fourth had a brown pattern, while the fifth had orange and white swirls.

Adam scanned the area for any people. A couple of cars drove down the street. Someone from another business brought out the trash. Whoever had left the box had disappeared. In a car, they could be blocks away.

“They’re gone,” he said. “I guess they figured leaving kittens at a cat café was like leaving a baby on the doorstep of an orphanage.”

Marley stroked her finger over one tiny head. “But it’s not. We can’t even take them inside. All the cats here have had their vaccinations, but we don’t know anything about these. They’re so tiny, surely they shouldn’t be away from their mother yet.”

That would hit her hard. She adored her son with a fierceness that amazed him. Adam hadn’t understood her decision to keep the baby at first. After all, he’d only been 13, and having a baby seemed like giving up the rest of your life. But when he saw her in the hospital, holding that baby, everything changed. She’d created new life and dedicated herself to its care. She’d been plump with the baby weight, her hair tangled from the hours of labor, her face pale with fatigue, and yet she glowed with joy.

That was the day he went from having a crush to falling in love.

She didn’t know that, of course. Adam had never even told Kari, and as clever as his best friend was, he didn’t think she had the slightest idea of how he felt about her older sister.

He sometimes thought Marley and Kari’s mother, Diane, had her suspicions. But she never said anything. She probably assumed it was still puppy love. But he was 24 now. Four and a half years was a gulf when you were 13 and 18. Not so much at 24 and 28.

But would Marley ever see him as anything besides her younger sister’s best friend, the neighbor kid, her adopted little brother?

Marley looked up at him, her brown eyes luminous. “What are we going to do? I’m supposed to open in a few minutes. We can’t bring them inside. We can’t leave them here. They’re so young.”

When he was 13, he’d imagined slaying dragons for her. At 15, he’d pictured himself defending her from a gang of muggers. By 17, the daydreams had gotten slightly more realistic. He might pull her back before she stepped in the path of a speeding car. He might rescue Brian from drowning or choking, or find him in the woods when he’d wandered off. It didn’t matter that they didn’t have a forest within two miles. Adam simply wanted to be Marley’s hero. He’d been waiting for the chance. He could certainly take care of this little problem.

“I’ll deal with it.”

She frowned. Apparently she needed more than a vague promise.

“I’ll take them to the vet, the one who works with the shelter,” he added. “That’s the best place for them now, right? She can tell us what they need, where they should go.”

“Yes, of course. It’s a good plan.” She touched his arm. “Thank you. I’m glad you’re here.”

“In the Cat Café tradition Kris Bock has established, this is a really fine book. Keep up the series, please! The Cat Café characters—especially the cat characters!—are so much fun.” – author Dee Knight

After a rotten week, Holly jumps at the chance to go on a rescue mission. Dozens of cats are stranded in a remote house where the owner has died. They’ve been abandoned, and she can sympathize. But she did not agree to make the road trip with Dustin, her rival and biggest headache at the cat café where they both work.

Dustin has given up trying to get Holly to like him. Still, a long drive through a snowstorm and an overnight in a house full of cats might bring them together—or result in his violent demise. But what they find is worse than they ever imagined: no lights, no heat, the snow still coming down, and over twenty hungry, skittish cats. They’ll have to work as a team to survive and save the animals.

One thing is certain—if they make it back alive, their relationship won’t be the same.

"Wonderfully detailed scenery and diverse characters combine with a clever, well-defined plot in Whispers in the Dark to create an exciting, hard to put down story. Kris Bock has masterfully utilized the locale – both the actual location and area myths – to add suspense and generate interest. Bock also skillfully utilizes Kylie’s past to make her question her experiences at the ruins and in town, so the question is whether she has come far enough to be strong when it counts. Coffee and Crushes at the Cat Café: a Furrever Friends Sweet Romance is now FREE at all retailers. #Freeebook #Romance #sweetromance #contemporaryromance #CleanRomance

Coffee and Crushes at the Cat Café: a Furrever Friends Sweet Romance is now FREE.

“Small town romance with cats ... what more could you want?”

“Anyone who likes a sweet story about relatable, cat-loving characters will enjoy Coffee and Crushes.”

What do you do when you meet the guy of your dreams? Set him up with your sister, of course.

Kari doesn't have time for love when she's opening her new cat café. She’s busy hiring employees, fighting with the health inspector – oh, and welcoming 16 shelter cats. She's doing this for the cats, the community, and her family. The café will give her sister, Marley, a job worthy of her baking skills.

Then a tattooed military vet wanders in claiming he’s a master baker. Surely Marley will fall for a guy this sweet, this sexy, this tasty.

Colin has other ideas. It's Kari who makes him want to turn up the heat. But he's spent the last two years recovering from physical and psychological wounds. Is he really ready for a relationship? He's not even sure he should commit to Samson, the sweet Siamese cat who steals his heart.

“I love how the cat cafe comes into being, how the cats help the people in their lives and of course the happy ending!”

“A sweet romance, with cats, kittens, yummy pastries (and recipes for some of them), and a hunky hero.”

Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series page on Amazon US or Amazon UK. (For other countries click here.)

Or find the book at Kobo, B&N/Nook, or Apple/iTunes.

Excerpt:

Kari smiled. “So now you think making coffee sounds good? Or is it the cats that appeal to you?”

He returned her smile, and her knees went weak. He was not her type. She liked intellectual, career-focused men. She had never understood women who raved over a man in uniform. Not that he was in uniform now. She glanced down at his faded jeans and tried not to let her gaze linger on the snug black T-shirt as she looked up again. Now he looked like he should be jumping on a motorcycle without a helmet, not looking for work in a café that featured adoptable cats. Soldier or biker, he wasn’t her type – but she could see the appeal.

A clatter came from the kitchen, where her sister was organizing the supplies. On the other hand, this man might be Marley’s type. But was he a nice guy or a jerk?

“Both, actually.”

It took Kari a moment to realize he was responding to her question about coffee or cats.

“I tried a lot of things to deal with the PTSD,” he said. “Meditation, yoga, even knitting.” His eyes narrowed again, as if daring her to laugh.

She glanced at his hands, with the thumbs tucked into his front jeans pockets, and tried to imagine those hands working knitting needles. They’d be strong and rough against the soft yarn. She cleared her throat. “Does anything help?”

“I haven’t gotten the hang of meditation yet. Mostly I feel bored. Yoga has been good for rebuilding my strength and balance. Knitting …” He shrugged. “At first it helped because it was so challenging that I couldn’t think of anything else. Now I’m losing interest.”

“I didn’t get your name yet,” she said. “I’m Kari.”

“Colin.”

A lovely name. One that would feel good to say, nice and round in the mouth. She needed to not think about mouths. “You were telling me about how you got interested in coffee and cats.”

He leaned back in his chair and studied the large, framed poster of kittens on the side wall. “Who wouldn’t like cats? As for coffee, I’m not a connoisseur, but I like a good cup, and I can learn all the fancy stuff.” His gaze returned to her. “I started cooking mainly to feed myself. I was getting flabby from too much fast food.”

He didn’t look flabby now.

A smile softened his mouth. “Turns out cooking is fun. Focusing on the colors, the smells, the tastes. That helps keep me in the moment better than meditation. So eventually I got into baking.”

Kari sat up a little straighter. “You bake?”

Colin leaned forward and said in a seductive voice, “You should try my salted caramel blondies.”

Readers say: “A heartwarming story of two cautious people learning to love each other. The cats and cakes were an added bonus.”

“I loved this book so much and absolutely loved the concept of the cafe.”

A new “Sweet and innocent romance to make you feel good about people again.” #Romance #sweetromance #contemporaryromance

Out now: Cupcakes and Confessions at The Cat Café: a Furrever Friends Sweet Romance  book 6!

I have already received six 5-star reviews from advance readers!

"This story will hit home with anyone who has had to make hard decisions in their lives and have ever wondered what if? ... definitely a book well worth getting your hands on! Highly recommended."

"The Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series is one of my favorite series of all time. I really love reading about the cat cafe and the romances between different characters in the books. I’ve read all of the books in the series so far and always look forward to reading more. I read this book in one sitting and loved it! I love how these two seemingly awkward characters are so forward with each other which is a good thing yet a bad thing sometimes, but works out... Such a light and wonderful read. Thank you for continuing to write more in this series!!"

A chance meeting changes three lives …

Two years ago, computer genius Sean Gorsuch had a health crisis and sold the tech company he built. Now he works at a cat café, dishing out hot drinks and sweet treats to customers, and lavishing attention on cats. At fifty-two and never married, he might be a little lonely, but how can he find someone who gets his quirky way of seeing the world?

Twenty-three years ago, Fiona Jones gave up her baby for adoption when her teen fiancé abandoned her. Since then, she has spent most of her life alone. A chance meeting with Sean on a plane leads to a startling revelation: his coworker, Holly, looks like a younger version of Fiona. Could Fiona have a second chance with her daughter, now grown up?

Sean helps steady Fiona through the emotional roller coaster of getting to know Holly. Fiona’s life is too complicated for romance, and Sean doesn’t want to get between mother and daughter. Still, something sparks between them. Should they stay just friends or risk their hearts?
