DIE DOG Publicity Tour
I've teamed up with publicist Erin Al-Mehairi @ HookOfABook to tour my collection, DIE DOG OR EAT THE HATCHET.
The tour is currently underway...
First stop was a fun Q&A/quiz with Adrian Shotbolt at his awesome BeavistheBookhead blog, where I breached the limits of good taste and common decency and just generally outstayed my welcome.
https://beavisthebookhead.wordpress.c...
Today (Apr.13) I unleashed hell at Benoit Lelievre's Dead End Follies, with an article on one of my pet subjects, Steven Seagal. Even non-Seagalogists need to read this shit.
http://www.deadendfollies.com/2016/04...
Short of my being detained for the common good, the tour will continue over the next few months.
Full details here
https://hookofabook.wordpress.com/die...
If you'd like a review copy of DIE DOG OR EAT THE HATCHET, or to get in on this sweet-ass tour action and have me on your blog, please contact Erin or me.
I hope you'll follow me on tour. I don't Q&A like a lot of other writers, so it should be fun. ;)

DOG EAT DOG: How K-9 and Turner & Hooch Determined the Career Trajectories of Jim Belushi and Tom Hanks
Those of you waiting for new stuff might enjoy this guest spot I wrote for Jedidiah Ayres's Hardboiled Wonderland blog, in which I analyse the 'buddy cop dog' sub-genre, and imagine an alternate movie-verse (and perhaps a better world) in which the careers of Tom Hanks and Jim Belushi are reversed after each actor makes the other's buddy cop dog picture, K-9 and Turner & Hooch.

Let the Big Dawg Eat: RELEASE DAY for DIE DOG OR EAT THE HATCHET
Help me celebrate the release of my new novella collection, DIE DOG OR EAT THE HATCHET by...uh...buying the damn book.
Includes the hardboiled horror noir GATOR BAIT.
Here's what a few notable names have to say:
“With Die Dog Or Eat the Hatchet, Adam Howe hasn’t written one of my favorite books of the year, he’s actually written three of my favorites. If novellas are the format of kings (and Kings), then this collection is a royal smorgasbord. Stories that are tight, toned, and genre-confounding. Horror fans and crime fans are going to come to blows over who gets to claim Howe as one of their own, but they’re both going to be wrong because Howe’s his own thing.
“Love this goddamn book and hate it at the same time. How is a British dude a better observer and hybrid-izer of junk Americana than most American writers?” - Adam Cesare, author of Tribesmen and Mercy House
“The recipe for Adam Howe’s DIE DOG OR EAT THE HATCHET is:
Two parts Joe Lansdale
One part Justified
and a heavy dose of WTF
The result is a swampy cocktail darker than any backwoods hayride, stronger than the meanest Sasquatch, and crazier than anything you’ll find chicken-fried at your local state fair.” - Eryk Pruitt, author of Hashtag and Dirtbags
"Adam Howe writes dirty stories populated with characters working like hell to leave a scum ring around the tub while they circle the drain. Gator Bait starts with mutilation and murder then shoves a rocket up its ass and goes south from there. Sticky, icky, pure pulp fun." - Jedidiah Ayres, author of Peckerwood
Don't believe 'em? How about Stephen King?
He's described my work as:
"Raw, punky, and genuinely surprising."
DIE DOG OR EAT THE HATCHET is

Hell Hath No Fury Like The Skunk Ape Society Scorned
In advance of my new novella collection, Die Dog or Eat the Hatchet, I've written a cautionary tale about my battle with the Society for the Preservation of the North American Skunk Ape (S.P.N.A.S.A.) and their attempts to block the publication of my story, Damn Dirty Apes.
What began as a polite request to the S.P.N.A.S.A. for endorsement...turned into a nightmare.
You can read about my ordeal at the link below
