I live in Florida where the heat and humidity have driven us all slightly mad. I’m easy to spot as I’m the palest person around. I avoid the sun and love air conditioned comfort. On the plus side, my skin will never look like badly laid roofing shingles.
My favorite writing genres are fantasy and science fiction, but I’ll read just about anything except technical instruction manuals. All my stories have fantasy, humor, romance, and a touch of sass. In my spare time I enjoy phoning in Bigfoot sightings to the Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife. They are heartily sick of hearing from me.

In a near cynical world which we are currently living in, Charlotte finds comfort in the readings of Regency Romance writings, one of her favourite would be Laura Kinsale’s Flowers from the storm where the female character loves and saves the male lead character who is a stroke victim. It was such writings which inspired her to be an author herself.
In Charlotte’s writings, the characters are able to see beyond the imperfections of each other and to accept and love one another, just the way one is.
Isn’t this true of our inner self?

Now I work cases for the dark denizens I was once counted among.
