Have you ever noticed how almost every author on Amazon is both a “bestselling” and “award winning” author? Well, so is Shawn Inmon. He once dominated the Lithuanian Clog Dancing Romance category for two heady days back in 2013. He also was named third runner up in Mrs. Marsh’s third grade spelling bee in 1968. Somewhere, he still has the certificate to prove it. Although he has never matched either of these two career highlights, he keeps plugging away.
Shawn hails from Mossyrock, Washington–the setting for his first two books, Feels Like the First Time, and Both Sides Now.
He is a full time author who lives in picturesque Seaview, Washington on the Pacific Ocean.
Shawn learned everything he knows by having 400 different jobs, give or take a few. Kindle Reset Instructions
I am going to set this message up to go out every couple of months: if you’ve seen it before and know what I’m talking about, or if you’re just plain ‘ole tired of seeing it don’t worry – I’ll be back with a new post soon.
There seems to be a Kindle problem for a lot of folks – that is, what do you need to do if (a) your Kindle or Fire Tablet freezes up, or (b) you’ve ordered a book, app or anything else and it never seems to download.
You may need to write this down, or try to memorize it, because if it happens to you I’m willing to bet you won’t remember unless you’ve reset your Kindle a few times!
If this happens to you, you will need to reboot your Kindle.
Here is how you reboot an e-Ink Kindle:
Click the “Home” button to get back to your home screen.
Click the “Menu” button, and select “Settings.”
You will see several options, but “reboot” is not one of those options. Press the “Menu” button again.
You will have several options, but choose and click the “Restart” button.
Alternatively, some Kindles are different – say the Paperwhite. Use the same instructions for the Kindle Fire below.
Here is how you reboot a Kindle Fire:
Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds, then release the power button.
The Fire will turn off.
After the Fire has turned off, press the power button once and release it to restart the Fire.
Once you reboot your Kindle, it could take about 1-2 minutes to reboot. Make sure your wireless is on, and the Kindle will go look in the Amazon store to see what is pending to be downloaded and viola! You should be back in business. If you ever need to restart your Kindle, I hope this helps!

Luisa Marietta Gold was born in Pennsylvania, where she spent a large part of her adult life. She moved to North Carolina after the birth of her only daughter, where she currently resides on eleven acres with her husband and several mixed labs. She published her debut novel, Escape to Osprey Cove, Book 1 of The Osprey Cove Lodge series, in September 2016. The series was born from Luisa’s love of the Rideau Lake region of Canada, the outdoors, and lake life. She spent many years enjoying the Rideau region while staying in lodges reminiscent of the lodge in her novel. Other interests include painting. All of her book covers are either painted or photographed by her. Her bio photo was taken in a tea room near her home, reminiscent of the one referred to in her first novel, where one selects a hat to wear while dining there. As her character Libby would say, they can be quite silly sometimes.

I was born and raised in the South and even hung my motorcycle helmet in Colorado for a few months. I’ve always had a touch of wanderlust and have never feared just packing up and going on new adventures, whether in real life or via the pages of a great book.
I didn’t want to grow up to be a writer–I wanted to raise unicorns and be a superhero. When those gigs fell through, I chose the next best thing: creating my own magical lands filled with adventure, magic, and humor.
