Banquet Chaircovers & Accessories – Plus Get a Custom Fit For Your Chair!

In recent years all types of dining facilities that cater primarily to weddings or high-end events are now covering their chairs with Chaircovers for increased sales. Others are using Chaircovers because it is cheaper than replacing old and worn chairs but there is an even better reason so read on.

Whether a facility has brand new or old banquet chairs these chairs aren’t generally the most aesthetically pleasing. Even facilities that invested in plusher banquet chairs may find that the chairs don’t create an overall effect or match with the event’s theme.

The reason is quite simple covering tables and chairs in fabric and adding ties to the chairs creates a “complete fantasy” like no other. The problem is how to get covers to fit properly and what fabric or color to invest in.

Generally speaking there a 3 types of dining chairs, standard banquet with cushion seat and back which is stackable, then folding in either wood, resin plastic or metal and lastly a Kaneback or Chiavari chair (ladder back design with wood representing bamboo). All of these chairs can be covered with a Chaircover.

Most manufacturers will send a sample cover in the most common size ordered to fit your chair. The problem is if this doesn’t fit then the alternative is sending in a previous cover used (if available), a photo of the chair or the chair itself. Remember linear measurements do not take into account the 3rd dimensional shape of the chair. Only fabric draped on the chair will make sure that the best fit is achieved. Some manufacturer’s charge a template fee and the cost of the sample made for approval. The most important thing is to get a sample to fit properly because once you approve the cover and it doesn’t fit it is not returnable if it was a custom item or there maybe a hefty restocking fee to return the covers. Check the manufacturer’s policy.

While folding and banquet chairs can be covered in almost any fabric Chivari chairs look best when you add a cushion and get covers in a shear fabric like Organza-this way the beauty of the chair comes through but the custom look of covering the chairs is there.

There are all kinds of options to covering chairs, using just ties, bands or pre-made bows, chair-back with tie or chair-back tails, etc. The possibilities are endless so don’t hesitate to talk to your salesperson for suggestions. But for now let’s talk a complete Chaircover.

Most events that Chaircovers will be most likely utilized are weddings and chances are either white or ivory will be the color options for the bride. What fabric? This is where your salesperson can be invaluable to make suggestions. In most instances white polyester is generally used or sometimes a damask. Whatever fabric and pattern is decided upon always think about ties. These inexpensive items can be bought in any color and fabric available and does not have to match the Chaircover. In fact you can offer ties to match the event theme or bridal dresses.

Banquet Chairs For Christmas and New Year’s

Now that the Christmas and New Year celebrations are approaching many clubs, hotels and restaurants are thinking how they will accommodate the extra customers that these busy times should bring. It can be difficult storing and paying for enough extra conventional wooden dining chairs throughout the year and it is often not cost effective because although the revenue generated over this short time is substantial, it is of course only for one month of the year. One way of avoiding this problem is to hire in the extra furniture needed.

There are many Companies throughout the UK specialising in this, holding large stocks of banqueting furniture that can be hired on a short or medium term basis at reasonable cost. These Companies understand the importance of servicing these peak times and can offer banquet chairs or tables at daily, weekly or monthly rates. An average price for banquet chairs by the day is around £2 per chair, but often these Companies will have heavily discounted prices for weekly or monthly use because to them most of their overheads are generated in delivering and collecting the banquet chairs.

The price for a weeks rental is often only twice the daily rate and maybe 6 times the daily rate for a whole month. This sounds like great value, but recently Companies specialising in the sale of banquet furniture have been forced by the global economic downturn to considerably reduce the prices of their ranges in order to maintain their sales.

Right now, a quick search on Google under ‘stacking chairs’ or ‘banquet chairs’ will bring up a host of Companies offering banqueting furniture, with prices for upholstered steel framed banquet chairs under £12, which is half the lowest price available just a few years ago and is equal to the price that the hotelier would pay for the months rental. Many of these banquet chairs are imported from the far east so it is very important for the buyer to assure themselves that the frames have been tested for strength by an independent and preferably British testing Company, for e.g. FIRA (The Furniture Industry Research Association) and that the upholstery fabric and foam filling are flame retardant and comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) 1988 Regulations. These steel banquet chairs are attractive and functional and are offered with the additional advantage of being stackable so that one of the objections to buying quantities of furniture for short term ‘peak’ demand is overcome to some degree. These banquet chairs can be bought with gold frame colour which is the most popular for times of celebration or in other colours, silver and black being popular too. The frame design is available in a variety of shapes too, from the simple square back design to the more decorative ‘balloon’ back.

For a more upmarket look the same designs of banquet chairs can be found with an aluminum frame, usually in a thicker 25mm square section tubing, which although it looks more substantial than it’s steel counterpart, is actually approximately 25% lighter, making them easier to transport when not in use. As the aluminum tube is made by an extrusion process, it is possible to have an attractive fluted design on the frame tubes with little extra cost. The aluminum banquet chairs start around £20 including upholstery. Like the steel chairs these are available in standard British Standard colours and have recently been offered with a wood effect using a printed film process that is applied to the aluminum tube after the chair has been manufactured and then ‘baked’ on to the frame in a kiln. This can be very effective and makes the chairs fit in to interior decorations that have a more traditional look. The process gives a finish that is as hard wearing as powder coating.

Other very popular banquet chairs are the classic wooden designs originally manufactured in beechwood by the Thonet bentwood factories in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary. Until only a few years ago these were the only countries in which these chairs were made, but in the last few years price pressure has encouraged suppliers to find factories in China, Malaysia and Vietnam willing to produce these chairs as copies of original samples. These are often made from rubberwood by far eastern manufacturers. This timber is far less resilient than the European beechwood and when used on chairs as delicately framed as these the result is a chair that has a much shorter usable lifespan although the price is often 20 to 30% lower than the European manufactured banquet chairs.

Banqueting Chairs Show You Care About Presentation

Here are always different occasions popping up where you want to make everything perfect, whether it is celebrating a partnership or anything else. A few things can make this occasion go well such as the food and the entertainment but one that is often overlooked is the presentation and the seating. Banqueting chairs can turn a plain room into somewhere fit for a king or queen.

You can adapt the chairs for each ceremony or occasion. Even if you are having an outdoor wedding or similar you could turn a marquee into a palace dining room so that you can enjoy the indoor comforts outdoors.

To save money even further you will be pleased to know that the seats are interchangeable so you can use the same frames over and over again, which also means that you can save on storage. This allows you to match the seating colours to suit what ever occasion be it a wake, wedding or 60th anniversary.

If you are a hire firm providing such seating then you want to make sure you are able to benefit from using the chairs over and over again. The fact you can change over the seats means you do not have to spend as much as you would if you were to buy the whole seat.

Other people who will benefit from them are those who have a spare room that they use as a sideline to hire to others for their functions. It allows you to extend the people you usually hire out to and also means that you can ask for a higher amount for the room if you are providing such exquisite seating.

If you think that you will not be able to store enough of the chairs to make a profit then you are mistaken. They are made to be stacked and are secure in this state therefore not posing a health and safety risk and will be kept in tip top condition.

Keeping the chairs safe until the time they need to be used is imperative and you can purchase covers that will go over 10 chairs at a time enabling you to keep them free of dust and good as new until the next function however long it may be.

Did you know that such chairs are used in many magazines and even in show homes? In addition you will have seen them in the media advertising as well as during films and for seating celebrities.

Rather than using cheaper chairs that need replacing frequently you could save money further as unlike others you can easily purchase spare parts so should a screw become lost or you need to update the colours you have available then this is not a problem and means you don’t have to replace the whole set of chairs.

Fashions are constantly changing and this is not just clothing and haircuts, it is also the way that people decide they want their rooms decorated. You want to be versatile enough to match every taste and of course the occasions you need to provide for.

Never settle for anything less than the best as with most things in life you will get what you pay for and in return you can be sure to get a lot more in return for your initial outlay. Invest in something that has its place both now and in the future.

Banqueting Chairs – Perfect For Every Occasion

There are always different occasions popping up where you want to make everything perfect, whether it is celebrating a partnership or anything else. A few things can make this occasion go well such as the food and the entertainment but one that is often overlooked is the presentation and the seating. Banqueting chairs can turn a plain room into somewhere fit for a king or queen.

There are many different kinds of chairs and depending the occasion you will find an array of designs to suit. They can be bought or hired and are made from the finest materials so you can be sure you have the best quality. One of the main reasons people like these chairs is that they are able to change the colour scheme to match individual needs and tastes because of the easily changed seats. Giving the customers a choice allows you give everyone what they want which of course is important to get more custom or bookings.

Anyone who hires chairs for functions will definitely benefit from this kind of seating as not only can you use them over an over again because they are made for this purpose, you also don’t have the worry of replacing them frequently as you would with cheaper chairs and of course they look better. You could benefit in the same way if you hire out a hall or function room allowing you to financially benefit even more as you can cater for pretty much anything from an office dinner to a wedding reception.

Transporting the chairs is easier than you may have originally thought as they can be stacked, this means that you can fit up to 10 of them in a space you would usually only be able to fit one in. If there is a long period of time between usage then for a small price you can buy covers that can be put over 10 chairs stacked at a time saving you time in both protecting them and giving you the safe knowledge that they will not be dusty or dirty even if stored at a warehouse.

You will have seen these great chairs on television and when people are advertising their rooms. This is what makes the rooms more appealing to those wanting that little bit of extra luxury for their guests. Some are tempted to go for copies of these original chairs. This means they don’t benefit from the longevity and versatility as the cheaper materials mean that they will not last as long. Choosing the best means that if for some reason a screw is lost or any other parts need replacing they are easy to get hold of and of course cheaper than you having to buy one of a set to complete your seating.

Everyone wants the best when they are putting on a function for a special time which is why you will be making an investment in something that will never go out of fashion. People will still be getting married, having children and celebrating their birthdays no matter how far into the future you look. In a short time the investment that you have made will pay for itself and those that have booked your service will pass your details on to others and want to come back to you once again. There are many things that you can invest in, but this is one that will stand the test of time.

A Variety of Church and Banquet Chair Options For the Congregation

A church building is expected to fill up with people at least once a week on Saturday or Sunday. Therefore, every church needs many chairs to accommodate all of the guests who will be attending the services.

Because of the need for comfortable, sturdy, and attractive seating, many manufacturing companies donate a lot of time and money into figuring out the best ways of creating it. For either an indoor or outdoor setting, there are two primary kinds of chairs that can be used by the churches.

The pews are the first option. These are the more traditional church seating and look like long benches. They are carved and polished to be ergonomic and easy to sit on for long periods of time. The classic design and wood finishes can be made to give off a contemporary or an older appearance.

Some churches prefer the pews that have special cushions on the seats and back. The cushions are designed according to the color scheme of the church’s interior. Some even have side embroidery or designs that match other décor in the building, tying it all together beautifully.

The second option is the more adjustable banquet chair. Unlike pews that stay in one location, they can me moved and rearranged easily. Also, they can be stacked easily for storage and to moved out of the way for events or cleaning. They can also serve as additional chairs behind pews if an exceptionally large congregation spreads into the overflow.

These banquet chairs can also be ideal for outdoor settings. They are perfect to be used for activities like meetings, potlucks, and banquets. They are much preferred to pews, because the long benches are heavy and not easily moved from location to location.

There are many companies that provide both types of seating. Shop around and find the one that will customize to the interior of your church building, and provide good references and warranties for early failure of product.

So whether you would use these church chairs for indoor or outdoor setting, you would surely find something that would fit your preference for the utmost comfort of the church goers.

Heavenly Comfort Within Your Reach – Church Chairs and Banquet Chairs

Among the many different religions existing today, there is one common denominator: Each requires a place where members may gather in and worship their God. For most, the church is defined as the house of God here on earth. Being so, it is but expedient that whosoever goes into the house of the Lord will find the peace and comfort he/she is looking for.

Because humanity has developed and realized the need for a higher being, going to places of worship frequently has been included in the culture. For more popular religions however, going to the church along with hundreds of other members may cause discomfort and annoyance due to lack of adequate space or poor facilities. This in return can cause the members of the group ad even the church leaders themselves become less reverend and attention is divided. Let us therefore remember the importance of comfort during the sermon for a more holy and successful meeting.

Even though some churches take pride in the rich history of their facilities and structure being older than we are today, we must consider that tangible materials also have a durability limit and we must not forget that centuries old chairs are can’t really be that safe to sit on anymore.

Because of this, unwanted accidents may take place and at times sermon may be interrupted by restless members sitting on creaking chairs. Also, wooden chairs designed a long time ago do not provide the comfort we are used to provided the progressing engineering and architectural works of furniture design today. We must remember that the more avid church goers are the older population and we do not want to cause further pain or damage to their bones and joints because of a stiff, wooden chair.

Fortunately, there is now offered a new set of church chairs that will definitely provide the perfect comfort to all church members. These church chairs and banquet chairs are very durable and of course, it provides the perfect comfort you need when you have to sit for an hour or so during the sermon.

It has a design for sanctuary seating, very good to look at and aside from the comfort and durability, it also is not made of wood but rather with more high quality materials.

It is cushioned for comfort, it has maintenance free seat fastening system and a very durable frame. The church chairs and banquet chairs also have a variety of fabric to choose from that will suit your taste whether you are going for contemporary or old school.

This church chairs and banquet chairs needless to say will greatly add aesthetic value to your church and will invite more members to come and stay every time there is a sermon or an important meeting. These church chairs and banquet chairs will surely give the feeling that the church is indeed a little patch of heaven here on earth.

Choosing the Right Banqueting Chairs For Your Special Occasion

Banqueting Chairs come in various designs, styles and types. The materials and colors vary as well giving you innumerable choices. Stocking up on banquet chairs during the sale months is a good idea as the prices soar closer to any holiday or party season. You can find chairs that suit your budget though a good quality chair will always cost more and look better.

The latest designs in banqueting chairs are the stacking variety. These economize on space and each chair neatly fits together. Storing stacking chairs is easier than the original variety. Most companies now offer stacking chairs and taking into account the added cost of storing, buying the stacking variety is an economical option.

You first need to decide your budget and then the kind of quality you desire in your banqueting chair. A number of big brands and designers offer stylized banqueting chairs. The designer chairs would be more expensive but there is an option for reasonable budgets as well. Due to the rising prices in Europe a lot of companies now outsource their manufacturing factories to the east. Places like China and Malaysia are able to provide decent quality chairs at a reasonable price.

A number of things need to be kept in mind before buying your chairs. The quality of construction is important, as a well constructed piece would be more durable. The material should be excellent so that the chair looks good and retains its attractiveness even after multiple uses. The comfort factor is very important as you want your clients or guests to be comfortable and enjoy the festivities in ease.

Having a style in mind is also helpful. Most designers that are employed by large companies already have chairs that have already been stylized. Chairs that have been pre-designed are a bit more expensive but there are some that are tailored to fit the strictest of budgets.

The banqueting chairs come in steel or aluminium with beautifully curved backs. These chairs last long and do not damage easily. They can be painted to resemble wood including mahogany, oak or walnut. They stack easily and sit tightly. Certain wooden chairs are also available with ornate carvings. Some of the wooden chairs are extremely attractive though they may be costlier depending on the type of wood.

Since some of these countries don’t have the governmental regulation that requires certain safety ratings, check the product for toxic parts. Always be very wary about placing them in places where children may have access to them. Make sure to inspect the pieces you are considering because no one wants to end up on a show where such mishaps caught on tape are fodder for the masses.

You should also preplan what materials from which you would like to have your chair made. Banquet chairs are often made from steel or aluminum and may or may not have designs. You may also have the option of wood, but these pieces also tend to be a mite bit on the pricey side. Wooden chairs are often hand carved in unique patterns so if you choose wooden pieces, be prepared to break your budget.

Buy the Best Banquet Chairs

The food, the decorations, the guest list – you have enough to take care of at your next event without worrying about your seating. For the occasional ceremony, it might be more cost-effective to rent a hall and a set of furniture. But if you’re a die-hard organizer, there are few better investments you can make than in your seating. A great set of banquet chairs can save you time, money, and hassle.

But how do you find the right kind? There are several important qualities you need to balance to find the right banquet chair.

Toughness. The toughest banquet chairs by far are all metal folding chairs. If your parties or events will take you outside or they demand heavy traveling, a metal folding chair may be the way to go.

Comfort. If your events may go on past an hour, you need banquet chairs with padding. The more uncomfortable your seating, the more your guests are likely to fidget, shift, and distract from the focus of your event. Choose chairs with either a padded seat or a padded seat and back to keep everybody calm and comfortable.

Versatility. Need your chairs to be there and gone at a moment’s notice? Want chairs that don’t mind a little travel, and can roll with events that include food and drink? Vinyl upholstered stack chairs offer a good balance of toughness, comfort, and versatility. Their stacking capabilities let you create towers of chairs that can be easily moved with a stack chair dolly – and then stored. Vinyl upholstery is very resistant to stains and spills, so you’ll be able to offer your guests the comfort of padded chairs without worrying about the cleanup.

Style. The most stylish banquet halls need the most stylish banquet chairs. The highest end banquet seating is generally made with wood. Wood banquet chairs are available in a variety of finishes and often dozens of upholstery choices. But if you need to balance your budget with your style, many metal banquet chairs come with silver or gold finishes and uniquely detailed back designs that will give you an original, stylish look at a lower cost without sacrificing strength.

Remember: the only banquet chairs you want are the ones that fit your needs.

Banqueting Chairs

By James K. Johnson

It may still seem like Summer is with us but many hotels, restaurants and catering businesses are already planning for the considerably increased demand over the Christmas and New Year periods. This is a time when many Companies choose to buy new banqueting chairs and banquet furniture making sizeable investments on the back of this very busy trading time.

When considering banquet chairs, there are several types that most people in the hospitality industry usually think of. There are the decorative wooden type with gilt painted finish that have become increasingly popular for weddings and are now available as a stackable chair giving the extra convenience of space saving when not in use.

These banquet chairs are often available with removable seat pads which have the bonus feature of being able to offer the customer different colour seats with only the added cost of buying extra seat pads. These chairs were originally made by the classic Thonet bentwood chair factories in Hungary, Romania or Czechoslovakia and have changed very little in design over many years. The only significant change, over the years has been the introduction of the stacking version of the banqueting chair.

In the last few years as these countries have one by one joined the European Union, the costs of making these very labour intensive chairs has increased considerably for these factories, giving them no alternative but to increase their prices. This has led to some UK banqueting furniture suppliers looking to factories in China and Malaysia to produce copies of these chairs but without the many years of experience of the traditional manufacturers, the quality can be very variable. Often, where the European factories would use steam bending to shape the elegant curved forms of the banquet chair, the Chinese and Malaysian manufacturers use simpler wood joining methods, for example finger jointing or even butt jointing, methods which are not nearly as strong as the steam bending process which produces the part without affecting the strength or integrity of the wood. Therefore purchasing these cheaper chairs can often be a false economy and can end in very early replacement of an expensive investment.

The other styles of Banquet chair are produced in either tubular steel or tubular aluminium and have one great advantage over the wooden styles. That is of course great strength and longevity at a lower unit price. The steel chairs are usually made in 3/4 inch square section 18 gauge tubular steel that can be finished in any colour, with gold being the most popular and silver or black being the next most popular choices. The Aluminium chairs are most popular in extruded aluminium tube 1 inch square section. As it is extruded it gives the manufacturer the opportunity to offer a wide choice of tube section designs, either plain or fluted. The other big advantage of both the steel and aluminium chairs over wooden banquet chairs is that because they are machine bent to great accuracy, they can be manufactured to stack very tightly and have plastic frame protectors to prevent damage from frame to frame contact. Recent advances in painting technology mean that both the steel and aluminium banquet chairs can have a painted finish that imitates the deep red colour of mahogany or walnut, oak or many other timbers and can even be printed with a wood grain effect if the customer likes this. These offer the best space saving option which is a big advantage if this style of chair is only used at the hotel’s peak time and needs to be stored afterwards. The aluminium and steel banquet chairs are produced in a variety of attractive shapes and designs as either side chairs or carvers (armchairs). As many of the chair components are standard, it is possible for the manufacturer to offer different chair designs and even seat widths without the need for expensive re- tooling.

For banqueting chairs sold in the UK combustion modified upholstery foam must be used along with fabric that has been treated with a fire resistant coating to meet the British Standard requirement.

For all these styles of chair the choice of upholstery fabric is virtually limitless if the chair is purchased from a UK supplier that has an in house upholstery shop. Some suppliers import the chairs already upholstered from factories in the far east but this limits the choice of upholstery patterns and colours that they can offer to their customers.

Whichever style or design of banquet chair that the hotelier or restaurateur decide to choose, the effect on a dining room set out with these chairs finished in an attractive gilt colour is always very appealing to the diners.

Bedroom Chair – Overlooked But Needed

by Dickson Young

One of the most overlooked but most needed pieces of furniture in the bedroom is the bedroom chair. You likely do not automatically think of a bedroom chair when you are considering the décor of your bedroom. Chairs for the bedroom are usually correlated with more extravagant homes and hotels – but you can add a chair to your bedroom even if you have simple décor and a meager budget – and it will provide a functional spot in the bedroom for various tasks – from applying makeup to providing a quiet and comfortable place to read. And since more and more folks are allowing the bedroom to double as a spot to watch television, you will find a chair in this room can come in handy for that, too. Bedroom chair options run from the very stylish to the trendy and simple.

Recliners

One of the most popular single chairs is the recliner or reclining chair. This type of chair can be stylish and elegant or modern and trendy and is available in a wide array of colors, materials and styles. You might also select a studio style chair that reclines. All reclining bedroom chair options have a foot rest, while some will feature a built in massage. A pocket on the side of the chair holds your books, magazine, knitting, and more.

Bean Bag Chair

The bean bag chair is no longer popular just for kid’s rooms, although it certainly has an appeal to the younger sect. Bean bag chairs can be plush and full – and modern versions are bigger than those that were made in the past. You can also find bean bag chairs that are shaped like interesting objects; for example, a bean bag chair that is shaped like a shoe. These types of chairs are extremely comfortable and allow for the ultimate lounging around experience.

Stools

Stools are bedroom chair options that you can use for a makeup table, or other functional purpose. Many people purchase a stool to match their makeup table – and this stool typically allows for a functional piece in the bedroom that you can use for dressing.

Gaming Chairs

For the kid’s room, there are gaming chairs that sit directly on the floor. These chairs rock back and forth and are great for playing video games. This type of bedroom chair is very inexpensive, usually less than fifty dollars – and some of them have a hookup for the child’s MP3/MP4 player on board.
