A tickler from "Ridicule"
He left the bathroom and was about to walk out of the bedroom when he noticed his closet door was open. Matt retraced his steps, opened the door, and entered the closet. He flipped on the light switch, illuminating the darkness. His suit jackets had been mashed to one side, revealing his personal safe. Matt could only stare at the open safe door. "How the hell did she know the combination!" raced through his mind. His eyes opened wide as he understood it all now; Angela had never been as subservient as he believed. All these years, and even in her death, she had been playing him. He shook his head side to side as if trying to say, "No, it can't be." He knew it was. The safe was empty of its secrets, and he knew who held the contents. He turned his back on the closet and headed downstairs. A dangerous grin slowly spread across his face. To the background sound of muffled music playing from the bathroom above, Matt said softly, "Well played. Now it's my turn." He headed for the garage; it was time to call in a few favors.

"Thanksgiving is here"
I hear the voices from ages past,
They whisper words meant to last.
Be thankful in what you have, ask no more.
Forgive your enemies and keep no score.
Remember those who gave their lives,
Pray for their children and their wives.
Treat others with kindness and care,
Be a parent who is always there.
Trust in the lord as your guide,
Love and honor the one by your side.
