THE PUEBLO: Excerpt from KING SOLOMON"S JOURNEY
"Hold on to what is good, Even if it's a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe, Even if it's a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do, Even if it's a long way from here.
Hold on to your life, Even if it's easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand, Even if someday I'll be gone away from you."Pueblo Indian Proverb
... "Imagine with me Antonio, step back and see it as it once looked." Amanda used her hands to show Antonio where to look and see what she drew with words. ...

Update: Voices Can Still Be Heard
I feel disclosure is of utmost importance, especially when the subject is in the midst of a political fall-out. For a patient it is not about politics.
Today, I received a call; despite contracts, one of the clinics I referred to in my recent blog post called me and the specialist will be seeing my son in November. Will this always be the case for him or for others? I don't know. I do know; this is only two days after posting the most read post I have ever put on my blog.

What Do You Mean Coverage Doesn't Mean Care? The Loophole!
Healthcare; it matters to everyone!
Unless medicine receives an overhaul and is completely socialized, for some getting coverage means actual care is nothing more than a faraway dream. Of course, it is those who need it the most that will suffer. How can I make such a claim? I have a son with developmental disabilities along with a convulsive seizure disorder. Until July of 2013, he was lucky enough to have traditional insurance along with Medicaid coverage provided for people over 21 wit...

BLACK WALL STREET: THE FINAL DAYS; DICK'S PRAYER
Dear God;
The world is asunder, her inhabitants battle continually over their differences, yet, I find myself selfishly asking for personal guidance. Amongst all this fear and confusion I seek clarity from within the voices of disorder. The need to see clearly churns inside me. After all these years, I reach out my fingertips and brush lucidity, and then out of nowhere I'm pulled back into the chaotic sea. Please, tell me how I emerge from the brutal expanse of the past.

ALPHABET RAIN IN THE DESERT by Poet Ben Miller
Alphabet Rain in the DesertBy Ben MillerIn the forward flowing sands amongst the freedom chimesWe stood in the wind sages burningNo direction but to rise and no motion in the soundClouds and letters descending in alphabet rains
But still we are lost on the high and lonesome long time roadThat twists around that craggy and teeth filled mountainFollowing hints and clues left for us to dissolve in our bodiesOnly inherited for this brief spark of journeyMust we return it when we’re done like a ren...

The Waning Romance with Social Media
The social media love affair has lost some of the appeal for authors. What was once seductive and exciting has become a duty. Most of us want to rekindle the sparkling relationship, but we don’t know how. “One often feels exalted, expanded, in his presence. He is not one of those egotists who miniaturize others. He is the opposite kind of egotist, driven by grandiosity rather than greed, and if he insists on a version of you that is funnier, stranger, more eccentric and profound than you suspect yourself to be--capable of doing more good and more harm in the world than you've ever imagined--it is all but impossible not to believe, at least in his presence and for a while after you've left him that he alone sees through to your essence, weighs your true qualities (not all of which are necessarily flattering--a certain clumsy, childish rudeness is part of his style), and appreciates you more fully than anyone else ever has.” — Michael Cunningham
