Audio Book Review ‘First Frost’ by Sarah Addison Allen

A bit of magic and a lot of family support in a story with an emphasis on the positive. Sometimes it’s a pleasure to read a bit of fiction and appreciate a low-drama situation, even though, it’s obvious that circumstances are going to turn out for the best.
Hence, First Frost is a delightful story about a family of southern women, the Waverleys of Bascom, North Carolina. Raised by their agoraphobic yet, somewhat mystical grandmother, Claire and Sidney grew up in a house with family history pa...

Audio Book Review 'Rogue Lawyer' by John Grisham

The Rogue Lawyer is Sebastian Rudd, a daredevil who struggles with ethics; he is a signature headliner with charisma.

For anyone who wants to question whether John Grisham still has what it takes, Rudd is his best character, yet. Representing the worst of the worst, Rudd redefines justice based on the circumstances he fac...

Author John D. MacDonald gave us fabulous pieces of literature The Executioners better known today as Cape Fear, and many others along with over twenty Travis McGee novels. Perhaps, John D. is the greatest modern day novelist. Many of today’s best-selling authors boast of his influence on their career. Gorgeous color with full-bodied taste and texture, this combination relies on the slow roasting process to combine flavors that taste so rich it will leave you wondering if it is really healthy.
For many reasons, society is restructuring the way they eat; to comply with this healthier trend we must reinvent many of the traditional comfort foods to meet our nutritional requirements.

Audio Book Review 'The Shore' by Sara Taylor

The Shoreexplicitly exposes a third-world culture so ignored by modern society; it will surprise most that it exists in the United States. The author provides raw insight into an impaired society that resides on the gorgeous islands of the Chesapeake Bay.Murder, rape, domestic abuse, poverty, addiction, and birth defects haunt the inhabitants of the marsh and despite the hellacious fear, the indoctrination is so deep that most never leave and those that do, inevitably return.
Often times, fic...
