Summer Garden

It Really Is All About Me . . .

. . . this article is, I mean! My local paper did a piece on my RITA nomination--very cool.  The article's author did get one thing wrong. She said that I write science fiction now.  I probably babbled on too long, trying to explain how sf & romance commingle in my books, and confused instead of clarifying. But it's a nice piece.  --And my hair looks good. ;-)

Hey, did you know you can use avatars on eileenwilks.com now? You didn't? GEEZ! Well get over to your profile and either choose one from our gallery, or upload your own. I've also been doing some general site design tweaks. Hope you like the new lightboxes that pop up when you click on a book's cover, as well as lots of other little updates. Cheers!

DEATH MAGIC

I've written the synopsis for the next book,DEATH MAGIC.  I can't share that here. Not only would it give away entirely too much--you'd end up confused when the book did come out.  My stories seldom follow the synopsis; this is why I send my editor a "synopsis"--note the quotes for irony.



I've also written the opening scene.  I was going to post it here, but it, too, gives away too much--about next January's book, BLOOD CHALLENGE.   So I'm settling for posting this very short...

GHOST

BLOOD CHALLENGE Finished

At long--long, long, long, long--last, I finished BLOOD CHALLENGE!  Sent it off last night. I'm celebrating!

E-Edition Coming Soon?

To everyone who's asked--and there have been a lot of you!--I have news about the e-edition of BLOOD LINES: it's in production right now.  I should have a firm release date soon, so if you've been waiting for BLOOD LINES to be available as an e-book, the wait is almost over.

EDIT from Katie: The publisher has not been responsive on this subject. We're not sure when the e-book version of BLOOD LINES will be released, but the publisher does claim to be working on it. We're very sorry as...
