A sweet fantasy romance novella published by Astraea Press
Social worker Natalie Danvers never thought she would fall head first into her very own dimensional tear—straight into a fey lord’s lap. The handsome but infuriatingly vague Lorh insists she’s stuck in his land for three weeks and that only she can discover the reasons behind her appearance in TirAnn. Natalie’s convinced this is all nonsense until forgotten memories of Lorh and his siblings resurface and collide with reason. Just who and what is she to Lorh and his family?

A magic that's fading
Relian has lived a life that hasn't changed in millennia, and he likes it that way. As Prince of the Erian people, he has his conscripted duties. And a human, even one as desirable as Cal, does not fit into them. But as the enemy darkindred knock on the borders and the magic of his people fades, he might just have to find room.

A love that's bindingCollege student Cal Weston spends a good portion of her time trying to keep people from thinking she's crazy, including herself. And with good reason. But her carefully constructed reality is turned upside down when she discovers that Relian, the seductive elvin prince who has been starring in her sensuous fantasies, isn't merely a myth and his magical kingdom really exists. Now she's bound to an elf and stuck in a land where no one, least of all Relian, is willing to spill any answers about the truth of her arrival.

Two people, two worlds meet in the mist
Even as love grows between them, can they lay aside their differences to embrace a life together?

Happy Hopping!

Please welcome Casea Major as this week's featured author. She's gearing up for the release of her erotic short story, Night with a Dom. This will be her second story that's set in Decadent Publishing's successful 1NS series.

On New Year's Eve workaholic Melody Manning is informed by her exhe's getting married. Devastated by the news, she blames the slave-drivertactics of her former boss for her break up.
To release the heartbreak and provide herself with some muchneeded stress relief, she enlists thehelp of an exclusive matching agency specializing in one-night stands.
At the Castillo Resort and Winery in Sonoma Valley, Mel meets themysterious Dom who has agreed to the last minute rendezvous. The sexy maskedMaster promises to get to the bottomof Mel's guilt and provide ultimate satisfaction under the safety of his sternhand.
After an emotional night of submission and uninhibitedpassion, will her lover's unmasking lead to the end of their encounter or giveMel another chance at love?

ExcerptMel sucked in a breath, and opened the door. The darkened room flickered withthe light of at least a dozen candles. She squinted as she walked in. The smellof incense and roses wafted in the air. Her sight adjusted, and the darkershadows of the space became visible. She scanned the scene. In the middle of the room sat an oversized bedcovered in black velvet and satin. Her arms and legs quivered. A roughly madewooden table stood with two straight-backed chairs in the corner, and a tray ofappetizing food awaited. She stood frozen, anticipating his appearance. Her heart thumped in her chest. Was he hiding? She began to turn—"Do not turn around, Miss Manning." His voicewhispered against her ear. She jumped at the husky sound, but didn't try tomove away. He ran his hands across her shoulders andtrailed his fingers down her bare arms. "Are you frightened, kitten?"Her skin tingled at his simple, but intimatetouch. The heat from his massive body radiated against her back though he nevermade contact with it. Although she couldn't see him, his presence filled theroom, and the walls seemed to shrink at his closeness. "I'm a little scared. I'venever done anything like this before, but I guess you do—"His finger glided up her shoulder to pressagainst her lips and his whispered rebuke filled her ear. "Silence." Her eyes fluttered closed. Pleasure and fearmingled in her mind and over her skin. She wanted so bad to turn her head andlook at him, but somehow she knew she shouldn't.The spicy masculine scent of him filled the air,and his moist, heavy breath sent waves of heat down her neck. "During this portion of the evening you will only speakwhen asked a direct question, and you will address me as 'Sir'. Understand?"Concentrating on his words, she had to strain tohear him over her pounding heart but nodded. In the dim light of the candles, her chest rose and fell rapidly. Excitement and fear zinged to her extremitiesand every place in between."There's nothing to be frightened of." He trailed his tongue from her earlobe down to hernape. She gasped and tensed her shoulders as he nipped and sucked the sensitiveskin. Goosebumps covered her from head to toe. Her nipples hardened andthrobbed. The mystery of him enticed her as much as his touch and scent. He swept his hand slowly over her stomach. Shemelted back against him, the heat of his body wrapping around hers, instant, carnal and very real. Throbbing need pulsed between her legs, replacing thechill of fear."I'm going to remove your dress.""Okay." The word whooshed from her. Dizziness caused her to sway. Is this really happening? His velvetbaritone held a familiar lilt she couldn't place, but surely if she'd heardthat sexy sound before, she'd remember. Right now she was so aroused, it couldbe her high school boyfriend and she wouldn't know—or care."Okay, what?"Her body tensed at his rebuke. "Okay, Sir.""You have enough discipline coming this eveningfor past transgressions, Miss Manning. Let's not complicate matters byincreasing their number. All right?""All right, Sir." She sucked in a breath at themention of punishment. What would he do to her? She had stipulated mild discipline, but what did that meanto him?He moved his hands from her abs upward, smoothing his palms across her breasts, grazing her nipples with every fingeras he passed over the fabric of her dress. A long, hot breath blew from herlips, and liquid desire gushed between her legs. He trailed his fingers to her back and unzippedthe dress, allowing it to fall to the floor with a whisper. The cool air of theroom played across her bare skin. The vulnerability of her position built apressure in her stomach not unlike the apprehension she suffered before heryearly employment evaluation. Pulling her back against his bare chest, hisarms slipped around her waist. His hands splayed across her flesh and grazedthe lace of her bra. His touch scorched her skin and desire for more floodedher. She ran her hand over his forearms. The fine masculine hair stood at hertouch, and he sighed into her ear.

A Deleted Scene

Hi! Over the nest few weeks, I thought I'd share some deleted scenes from Bound by the Mist. These scenes were either removed from the story entirely, condensed, or rewritten from a different character's POV.
The one I'm posting today is from Relian's POV. He's an elvin prince who's been haunted by dreams of  a woman--and not just any woman, but a human woman! Now she's arrived in his land and he doesn't quite know what what to do.
Enjoy!

AsRelian's shock encased him in stone, he knew without a doubt who and what it was, eventhough he couldn't see the figures clearly. It was Cal.  It had to be.  Who was the other person, though?  Maybe the friend he had seen with her?  Now his sense of somethingmomentous happening made sense.  He'd experienced aforewarning of her arrival.  Ecstasy andagitation coursed through him at the thought of her in his world              Once the veil faded enough forelvish sight to see clearly, the strange figures came into view.  Standing before them all -- before him --were two human women who looked around in bafflement.  Just like he, the gathering looked on withstunned astonishment.  While his fathermade his binding to a human quite clear, apparently no one had actuallyexpected her arrival after said announcement.             The king recovered first.  He grasped Relian's shoulder.  "It seems the veil has taken the problem ofher arrival out of our hands."            Relian nodded.  He had yet to take his eyes off Cal andcouldn't form coherent words.  Once heovercame his trance, he and his father glanced at each other knowingly.              He leaned toward his father.  "Thisdemonstration of the veil has made our task of gaining acceptance for thebinding quite easy.  This was beyond evenwhat we could have hoped for when we started this endeavor."            A smile played over his father's lips. "Indeed, the veil could not have chosen a more fortuitous time.  None can gainsay that the veil has not beeninvolved, that it is merely evil at play."              Relian surprisingly felt lighterthan he had before the veil appeared. Now the number of people speaking out against the match should be few,if any.  At least overtly, he hoped.

Featured Author Aine P Massie (Blood's Voice--Book One of the House Millar series)

Aine P Massie is my featured author this Thursday! She's the writer of the House Millar series. Read on to find out about Blood's Voice, the first book in the series.

Blood's Voice(Book One of the House Millar series)by Áine P Massie

Anya Millar had no memory of her life or an instruction manualon how to navigate the insane world of humans, biting, andreality. Instead, Anya has had to learn to navigate the world oflove, life, and sanity while avoiding those that would see herdead or enslaved.

This is the ongoing journey of Anya and Nicholas, human lovingvampires and the human they love, Declán. What makes it allmore complicated is that they are abominations in their ownworld and Declán is a natural born vampire hunter called aGuardian.

Anya must come to terms with who she is and her missing past,Nicholas must win back the object of his eternal love whiledealing with new cravings in his silent heart, and Declán mustlearn to destroy the very creatures that he has unequivocallygiven his heart and blood.

Excerpt

I spent a long time mingling and observing the humans. They are always so interesting towatch, especially when excited. I turned the corner to head to the larger dance floor when Inotice Declán talking to a girl I had never seen before. This would not have bothered me exceptthat at the same moment I saw her I also caught her scent. Not human! Not wanting to cause ascene and draw unneeded attention to what I am, I chose to – against my better judgment –head over without calling to Nicholas or Declán.

"Ah, ah, ah, I wouldn't do that if I be you," the strange female streamed, where I could hearbut he never could have.

"Get away from him," I growled in return. She moved away a little but relatively stayed herground. Moving in to wrap one arm around his waist, I pulled him behind me. "You are notwelcome here and especially not near this one!" I was so furious I was vibrating slightly.

"A new pet," she purred. "You've always been such a strange little creature, haven't you?We just be talking." She looked amused, maybe she did not understand the danger she wasfacing. "Weren't we pet?"

"Mmmm, yesh ma'am," Declán slurred. "Is okay Anya, we weres just talkin'." Glancingback just enough to see his face I suddenly became aware of two things; first, he was dazedlooking and secondly, he had two small wounds on the left side of his neck.

"You bit him?" I could hear the others converging on our position now. "You will neverbite anyone ever again!" I growled. I could feel myself losing control; I needed to get Declánaway, quickly.

Shifting into a half crouch, I felt Nicholas slide in beside me doing the same. "Geoff, Peony, take Declán, now, and get him out of here."

Nicholas put a restraining hand on my arm, "Not here. Out back."

Fine. "We three will go out back to talk," I commanded. "Bog leat soith!" I snarled at thefemale. I could hear Nicholas sigh but did not have time to find out why right then.

'She' moved gracefully toward the back door without a pause. Her eyes kept the unfocusedglaze my voice often caused even as she turned to face us once in the alley. "This be totallyunnecessary. I wouldn't kill your pet." I could feel my teeth descend without consciouscommand as I continued to growl; she finally appeared troubled.

"Why are you here?" snapped Nicholas.

"I be sent to observe her," she said twitching her chin at me. "I just wanted to know moreabout her."

"She bit Declán, Nicholas," I hissed.

"It just be easier for me to enter their mind and memories that way," she answered. "Itwon't damage him, don't stress so child."

"You are dead, do you hear me."

Lights started flashing around me for a moment and then I was no longer in the alley.Where am I? Looking around, I was in a strange octagonal room. I could feel panic and fearwithin but with a sort of residual, not quite real sensation. Walls, ceiling, and floors were all arough silvery metal. I was restrained to the wall at my wrists, chest, waist, and ankles; therewas also some kind of strange gag in my mouth.

The gag was not painful but it had aprotrusion that made it where my teeth were locked in one position. I could smell blood, freshhuman blood but could see no one but the same strange woman I was just growling at; shewas standing in front of me sneering. The only sound, other than our breathing was when shespoke. "You really should be more cooperative child. It wouldn't be so painful if you justbehaved better." Searing pain and light. . .
