  Watched

Sixteen-year-old Stephanie Beasley has it all. She's a top student, head cheerleader, popular, with a great boyfriend. But she also has it.
It stands in the corner of her bedroom in the dark of night, watching, waiting. Always waiting. Until it follows her out of her room for the first time ever, bringing her terror to a new level.
Soon, Steph is losing sleep, unable to function, stressed about when it will make its move. And when it does, she'll be forced to do anything she must to protect those she loves.
Our Own Worst Enemies Zombies suck. Seriously. For the past year they’ve been making Callie’s life a living hell, and things are only getting worse. With the undead population on the rise and supplies becoming scarce something needs to give. When rumors of an enclave that’s safe and well stocked reach Callie and her neighbor Josh, they decide to brave the dangerous streets in search of some long lost peace.
Will it turn out to be everything they’ve ever dreamed of, or will it be, as Callie fears, too good to be true?   A Tale of Two Cemeteries
It's 2012 in Deadworld, and the ghosts are hungry for a good human haunting. All Charlie Quinn wants to do is keep his cemetery in business and live a normal, honest ghost life. But Julian McNabb, the ruthless owner of the cemetery across the street, always seems to steal his business.

All of that changes when a teenage pop sensation dies and joins Charlie's cemetery, and Charlie discovers that Julian's success has come by some costly means. It's up to Charlie's haunting company and their new employee to keep their business afloat, and stop Julian from taking any more lives.

  The Seance
Curious fun turns to terror when two young women conjure a playful spirit from history’s dark side.

Will she escape with her body and see her husband Stan again?     Simon Says Michael comes from a family of serial killers. They kill those on The List because "Simon says" to. However, Michael has had enough. He wants out.But not doing what Simon Says may have severe consequences.

The Reluctant Bachelorette by Rachael Anderson

The Reluctant Bachelorette by Rachael Anderson

Unknowingly cast as the bachelorette for her town’s charity event, Taycee Emerson wants out. Especially when she discovers her old teenage crush, Luke Carney, is one of the bachelors and it's up to the viewers--not her--to decide which bachelors stay or go.

Coerced into participating, Taycee does what any self-preserving girl would do. She launches a subtle attack on Luke’s good name with the hope of getting him voted off the show. Unfortunately, Luke's an eye-for-an-eye kind of guy, and when he discovers what she's up to, it means revenge.

But when their pranks go south, will they screw up any chance they have at a future together, or will they be able to forgive and forget and prove that love really does conquer all?
My thoughts:The Reluctant Bachelorette is a fun, easy read. I enjoyed every minute of it. It is my first experience with author Rachael Anderson: It won't be my last! I loved the idea of the Bachelorette concept to save the town. It made for some funny situations. To have the viewers decided who will win was a great concept. When her childhood love is added to the show, it makes for some fun fodder. Poor Luke! He has no idea Taycee had a mad crush on him when she was only 14. He's back from college now, longing for the quiet life as the town's vet. Too bad he's not going to get it. Taycee's friend Jessa is hilarious, although after what she does to Taycee, I'd be a bit wary of friending her! This is a wonderful, clean read and I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys love and laughing. I'd give it FIVE stars!
About the Author: Rachael Anderson is the author of four contemporary romances: Divinely Designed, Luck of the Draw, Minor Adjustments, and The Reluctant Bachelorette. She's the mother of four, can't sing, doesn't dance, and despises tragedies. But she recently figured out how yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really good at eating.

New blog header!

I hired Giselle of Xpresso Reads to design a new header for my blog! She did such a great job. I am really happy with it. She only charges $25 dollars and is really easy to work with (and quick)! I highly recommend her if you are looking for a blog face lift! (The girl in the header is the creation of Ljilja, whose digital work I LOVE!)  Thanks Giselle! It is so beautiful!

Looking for an Editor??

Looking for an editor?? I recently hired a TERRIBLE editor to work on Souls in Peril. She was just starting out, and in college, so I thought I'd help her out. DISASTER! It took a month and all she did was insert commas. Really? A month for 200 commas? Yeah, What a waste of time and $$$.
Juli Caldwell, a friend and fellow author, started an editing business called Firefly Editing Services so I thought I'd give her a try next. What did I have to lose but time and more $$$, right? Not only was she quick, but she did an outstanding job! I can recommend her with confidence! She fixed errors, along with tense problems. She even pointed out a few problematic story line issues that I easily fixed by adding a line or two. In other words, she did what an editor should do!!
Editors matter, especially for Indie writers. Last month I had Unlovable re-edited by two different editors. Sara, the woman writing the screenplay for Unlovable, wanted me to change a few things in the novel for the movie, minor things like having turn Maggie 18 at the start of the story. Since I had to make these change I decided to have Unlovable re-edited and polished up after some readers mentioned finding typos. It is amazing what you think is a polished manuscript is in fact still flawed. Your eyes see what you meant to write, and their eyes see what is actually there! I can't emphasis enough the importance of hiring a good editor, and choosing one with a solid reputation.
Lesson learned!
Thanks Juli, and thanks to the many good editors that make us authors look semi intelligent!
